2025 Winter Veil Special!

Welcome to the Azeroth Morning Radio 2025 Winter Veil Special, our first annual holiday episode! This week, we cover Winter Veil activities, Midnight expansion updates including player housing improvements and combat changes, highlight an inspiring player-led charity, share the housing add-ons we’re using right now, and reveal a major announcement: AMR’s first-ever live show. Whether you’re decorating, catching up, or just soaking in the season, this episode is for you! Enjoy and thanks for listening!

WINTER VEIL MULLED WINE Yield: 4–6 servings Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 15–20 minutes Method: Stovetop

Ingredients: 1 (750 ml) bottle dry red wine (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, or a red blend work well) 2 cinnamon sticks 4 whole cloves 2 whole star anise 1 teaspoon allspice berries, lightly crushed Peel of 1 orange ½ cup fresh orange juice 2–3 tablespoons honey or brown sugar (to taste) ¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions: Pour the red wine into a large pot and place over low heat. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, allspice berries, and orange peel. Stir in the orange juice, honey (or brown sugar), and nutmeg. Heat gently, never allowing the mixture to boil. Simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Strain spices if desired and serve warm in mugs.

Notes: Do not boil — boiling cooks off the alcohol and alters the flavor. Garnish with an orange slice or cinnamon stick if you’re feeling fancy. Best enjoyed near a fire, before a raid, or while questioning Azerothian history.

1
00:01:06,360 --> 00:01:10,680
And good Tuesday morning and
happy Winter veil, everybody.

2
00:01:12,120 --> 00:01:17,240
It's episode 13 here at AMR
and this is our special first ever

3
00:01:17,400 --> 00:01:22,560
annual Winter veil edition of
Azeroth Morning Radio. We are your

4
00:01:22,560 --> 00:01:28,040
hosts. My name is Jibs, and
I'm joined by 2018's world's ugliest

5
00:01:28,040 --> 00:01:32,490
helper during the winter
season. His name is Cash.

6
00:01:34,650 --> 00:01:40,250
Listen. Listen to you. I might
have bit off more than I could chew

7
00:01:40,250 --> 00:01:44,810
by telling you those insults
need to come back. That was a bald

8
00:01:44,810 --> 00:01:45,930
joke and I know it.

9
00:01:46,490 --> 00:01:49,290
Yeah, my eyes are still
hurting from the shine on that dome.

10
00:01:49,370 --> 00:01:50,970
Merry winter veil, boys.

11
00:01:51,290 --> 00:01:53,490
Well, it's funny because if I
throw any ball joke out, I mean,

12
00:01:53,490 --> 00:01:56,370
it's like I'm. It's like a.
Like I'm talking to a mirror. Right?

13
00:01:56,370 --> 00:01:59,510
Because, you know, both
incredibly aerodynamic in that regard.

14
00:01:59,510 --> 00:02:02,190
You sell more than me. I've
got way more real estate than you.

15
00:02:02,350 --> 00:02:05,030
You know, like, I feel like
I've got two of your heads. But,

16
00:02:05,030 --> 00:02:06,270
you know, it's all right.

17
00:02:06,350 --> 00:02:10,230
No, you have a. You have a
great dome. I just, I have. I have

18
00:02:10,230 --> 00:02:15,150
had more time with my dome in
the sunlight, so it's true. Yeah,

19
00:02:15,150 --> 00:02:22,390
I'm like a. Like a. Just a
bucket of cancerous lesions. I lie.

20
00:02:22,390 --> 00:02:26,630
I actually have a very nice
dome. So, dude, when you put. When

21
00:02:26,630 --> 00:02:30,290
we play that music, right,
and. And I hand it to you. We talked

22
00:02:30,290 --> 00:02:36,810
about doing a winter veil
themed intro. Like just make this

23
00:02:37,530 --> 00:02:43,290
episode so festive and merry
and fun. And when, when I heard that

24
00:02:43,290 --> 00:02:46,210
again, because I've heard it
like 10 times now, but it just, it

25
00:02:46,210 --> 00:02:50,650
makes me feel like I'm five.
It's like it's Christmas, like, just

26
00:02:51,290 --> 00:02:52,170
freaking out.

27
00:02:52,330 --> 00:02:52,770
Yeah.

28
00:02:52,770 --> 00:02:57,210
And what I want Santa coming.
I don't want to go to bed early,

29
00:02:57,210 --> 00:02:59,490
but I do want to go to bed
early because he's going to come

30
00:02:59,490 --> 00:03:03,110
a little bit quicker if I go
to bed. And it just. It gives you

31
00:03:03,110 --> 00:03:07,270
all the feels, man. So well
done on the intro. Sounds fantastic.

32
00:03:07,270 --> 00:03:09,590
Thank you. Thank you very
much. It's very kind of you. Yeah,

33
00:03:09,590 --> 00:03:14,030
it's exciting. First ever
winter veil edition of amr. And this

34
00:03:14,030 --> 00:03:18,750
will be a returning. A
returning. Wow. Recurring. That's

35
00:03:18,750 --> 00:03:19,910
better. That feels right.

36
00:03:20,470 --> 00:03:21,510
It could be returning.

37
00:03:21,510 --> 00:03:22,550
Well, that would.

38
00:03:23,030 --> 00:03:26,710
That's. That's the joy of
being a content Creator is that it

39
00:03:26,710 --> 00:03:30,350
could be whatever we want. So
it's going to be next year. It's

40
00:03:30,350 --> 00:03:32,410
going to be returning again.

41
00:03:34,490 --> 00:03:37,370
Oh, yeah. Folks, we wanted to
do something special for you, and

42
00:03:37,370 --> 00:03:42,370
this is definitely a special
episode. Fun things and all that

43
00:03:42,370 --> 00:03:46,570
more. But how. What'd you do
in game this week? What's new?

44
00:03:46,570 --> 00:03:48,570
I did a lot of things in game
this week.

45
00:03:48,570 --> 00:03:49,130
Did you?

46
00:03:49,210 --> 00:03:55,890
Lots and lots. So, yeah,
Winter veil is upon us. And it's

47
00:03:55,890 --> 00:04:00,350
funny because we put a. We put
a bit out last week about how to

48
00:04:00,350 --> 00:04:07,750
prepare for winter veil. And I
did none of that. Not a single damn

49
00:04:07,750 --> 00:04:10,590
thing. The only thing I did
was clear. I cleared out my inventory.

50
00:04:10,590 --> 00:04:14,430
I did do that. I was ready for
it. But my daughter wanted to jump

51
00:04:14,430 --> 00:04:17,070
in there and do it because
this is her first winter veil event.

52
00:04:17,150 --> 00:04:17,710
Yeah.

53
00:04:17,710 --> 00:04:21,110
And she was super pumped to do
that. And so we ended up jumping

54
00:04:21,110 --> 00:04:24,270
into that and I looked at my
achievement list and I had.

55
00:04:25,210 --> 00:04:25,690
I had.

56
00:04:25,770 --> 00:04:29,450
I got some work to do. So I
was a little. A little bummed. I

57
00:04:29,450 --> 00:04:32,130
was like, man, I thought that
I had way more or I thought I had

58
00:04:32,130 --> 00:04:35,450
way more achievements done,
and I didn't. So I started looking

59
00:04:35,450 --> 00:04:38,530
at that list. We did the
initial stuff and, you know, we went

60
00:04:38,530 --> 00:04:42,890
and killed the green and we,
you know, she got those initial achievements.

61
00:04:42,890 --> 00:04:50,090
And then I got locked in
because I found a piece of housing.

62
00:04:51,300 --> 00:04:54,060
I found a table that I wanted
really bad, so.

63
00:04:54,060 --> 00:04:54,620
Oh, really?

64
00:04:54,620 --> 00:04:56,820
In the middle of winter veil,
I'm like showing my daughter around.

65
00:04:56,820 --> 00:05:03,620
And I was like, I gotta go. I
gotta go. So it turns out that there

66
00:05:03,620 --> 00:05:07,380
is an alchemy table that you
can get from classic. And I didn't.

67
00:05:07,380 --> 00:05:09,420
I didn't even know it was
there. You can get it from classic

68
00:05:09,420 --> 00:05:13,220
alchemy. And it was awesome.
And I was like, okay, well, I 100

69
00:05:13,300 --> 00:05:17,300
have to have this in. In my
life. So I started working on it,

70
00:05:17,870 --> 00:05:22,230
and it turns out it like I had
almost everything I needed. And the.

71
00:05:22,230 --> 00:05:25,990
The other stuff that I needed,
the other ingredients that I needed

72
00:05:25,990 --> 00:05:28,350
to be able to make this
alchemy table were easy to get. So

73
00:05:28,350 --> 00:05:30,230
I was like, okay, I'm just
going to buy this, buy this, buy

74
00:05:30,230 --> 00:05:36,870
this. I can farm that. But the
one thing that blew my mind was black

75
00:05:36,870 --> 00:05:42,350
lotus. Oh, you have to have
eight black lotus. So I went to the

76
00:05:42,350 --> 00:05:44,310
auction house and I was like,
well, I can probably farm it, but

77
00:05:44,310 --> 00:05:47,490
I'm going to look on the
auction house. It was like four and

78
00:05:47,490 --> 00:05:49,770
a half thousand gold for one.

79
00:05:49,770 --> 00:05:51,370
How much you want the alchemy table?

80
00:05:52,090 --> 00:05:56,410
Right. Because I was thinking
like more from a, from an entrepreneurial

81
00:05:56,410 --> 00:05:59,450
standpoint. I was going to
make these and sell them, right?

82
00:05:59,530 --> 00:06:01,050
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

83
00:06:01,050 --> 00:06:02,610
That's not going to be a thing.

84
00:06:02,610 --> 00:06:03,610
That's not. Because.

85
00:06:04,330 --> 00:06:06,770
So first of all, they were
selling for like 40 grand. I think

86
00:06:06,770 --> 00:06:10,370
there were 41,000 on our
server for the table. Wow. And the

87
00:06:10,370 --> 00:06:13,250
Black Lotus, in order to make
the table, they were like four and

88
00:06:13,250 --> 00:06:17,810
a half pop. So I was like,
screw this. I know me, I love a good

89
00:06:17,810 --> 00:06:22,570
grind. I've talked about it
before. So I go out and I go to wowhead

90
00:06:22,570 --> 00:06:27,210
and find where you get Black
Lotus. So it's like up in Eastern

91
00:06:27,210 --> 00:06:30,730
Plaguelands and it's a rare
drop from like high level, classic

92
00:06:30,810 --> 00:06:35,570
herbing nodes. So I start to
do that thing, start to herb all

93
00:06:35,570 --> 00:06:39,130
the highest level stuff that I
can find. I think I herbed about

94
00:06:39,130 --> 00:06:46,490
200 items. 200 nodes, not a
single Black Lotus. Nothing. There

95
00:06:46,490 --> 00:06:50,610
was nothing out there. I
scoured the lands and could not get

96
00:06:50,610 --> 00:06:54,330
a drop. And I was like, well,
no wonder this thing is 40,000 for

97
00:06:54,330 --> 00:06:58,890
the stupid table. Because,
well, you quickly realize that it's

98
00:06:58,890 --> 00:07:02,530
not going to be a thing,
right? Like you're just, you're not

99
00:07:02,530 --> 00:07:05,690
gonna be able to do it. And
I'm not gonna spend the exact same

100
00:07:05,690 --> 00:07:08,530
amount of money that I would
to buy the table just to get the

101
00:07:08,530 --> 00:07:13,090
Black Lotus. So anyway, it was
a wash. Yeah.

102
00:07:13,410 --> 00:07:16,770
Yeah, it's, you know, home
decor. It's a fun thing and it's

103
00:07:16,770 --> 00:07:18,850
an interesting thing. You
know, it's like you're ever learning

104
00:07:19,090 --> 00:07:22,890
and the markets are ever
changing, you know, and that's definitely

105
00:07:22,890 --> 00:07:27,050
part of part of my week. It
was a mixture of I finished up remix

106
00:07:27,050 --> 00:07:30,850
and transferred my character
over, which, oh my gosh, the send

107
00:07:30,850 --> 00:07:36,760
off at remix is so sad. I was
so sad and teary eyed at one point.

108
00:07:36,760 --> 00:07:39,200
I'm like, why am I teary eyed?
It's all big.

109
00:07:39,520 --> 00:07:40,240
Yikes.

110
00:07:42,320 --> 00:07:45,120
And I bought everything I
needed to buy. And I look around

111
00:07:45,120 --> 00:07:48,080
and, you know, you interact
with these NPCs and like, you're

112
00:07:48,080 --> 00:07:51,400
telling them goodbye. Like
you, you can tell them goodbye. And

113
00:07:51,400 --> 00:07:54,360
they're like. And one said
something about, oh, sweetheart,

114
00:07:54,360 --> 00:07:59,200
it was so good to see you. I'm
like, okay, all right, I'm fine.

115
00:07:59,200 --> 00:08:02,440
It's fine, it's fine. So I
just left and blah, blah, blah. And

116
00:08:02,440 --> 00:08:05,480
they're like, it's never
goodbye. It's, you know. And by the

117
00:08:05,480 --> 00:08:07,440
end of it I'm just like, I had
a day anyway.

118
00:08:07,440 --> 00:08:09,960
And I'm just like, okay, I'm a
ball of Emotion.

119
00:08:10,440 --> 00:08:13,360
So, anyway, I, I, you know, I
transfer everything over. Everything's

120
00:08:13,360 --> 00:08:18,640
fine. Started working on
getting some of the class hall upgrades

121
00:08:18,640 --> 00:08:22,720
going so I can get the. Some
of the decor. But outside of that,

122
00:08:22,720 --> 00:08:27,260
my week has been working on
roleplay stuff and doing dungies

123
00:08:27,340 --> 00:08:29,820
here and there. The time
walking, taking advantage of that

124
00:08:30,300 --> 00:08:35,340
and working the markets, baby.
Markets have been fruitful, and old

125
00:08:35,340 --> 00:08:38,140
Daddy's got a. Old Jibs has
got a system down, and it's working

126
00:08:38,460 --> 00:08:40,940
just fine. Just fine.

127
00:08:41,580 --> 00:08:45,900
So what are you up to? Well,
first of all, sure, if you didn't

128
00:08:45,900 --> 00:08:49,060
tune into last week's show,
Jib is going to recap where he was

129
00:08:49,060 --> 00:08:52,490
at last week. And then. What
is in your. What's in your wallet?

130
00:08:52,490 --> 00:08:58,530
What's in your wallet? Azeroth
in my wallet. Last week, I got down

131
00:08:58,530 --> 00:09:04,450
to. I had spent well over 100k
on decor, and I was down to my last

132
00:09:04,530 --> 00:09:09,650
1000 gold on this character.
And, you know, I didn't want to buy

133
00:09:09,650 --> 00:09:13,130
a wow. Token. I really didn't
want to do that at all. Mainly because

134
00:09:13,130 --> 00:09:15,290
I'm stubborn, and I want to
earn it in game. Like, that's just

135
00:09:15,290 --> 00:09:18,360
in my head. That's what I
wanted to do. Right? So anyway, like,

136
00:09:18,360 --> 00:09:24,720
okay, here we go. So I started
stepping tiptoeing into the Caz Al

137
00:09:24,720 --> 00:09:29,720
Ghar decor items for my
profession and did that for a little

138
00:09:29,720 --> 00:09:33,159
bit till the market kind of
went out. And I did about a $30,000

139
00:09:33,159 --> 00:09:38,280
investment that brought me
down to 79,000 gold at that point,

140
00:09:38,280 --> 00:09:41,600
because I had made up. I got
up to 100, which was awesome doing

141
00:09:41,600 --> 00:09:44,400
that. And that's what I told
on the show. Well, the following

142
00:09:44,560 --> 00:09:48,850
day of that show, I'm like, I
can see this market is drying out,

143
00:09:49,810 --> 00:09:54,170
so what I'm gonna do is switch
to a different expansion. So I went

144
00:09:54,170 --> 00:09:57,810
through and figured out what
was selling the most of picked an

145
00:09:57,810 --> 00:10:03,970
item I wanted to make. And I
AM now at 417,000 gold as of today.

146
00:10:05,090 --> 00:10:08,570
Damn, you're doing good. You
picked an item without Black Lotus,

147
00:10:08,570 --> 00:10:09,330
I'll tell you that much.

148
00:10:09,330 --> 00:10:13,210
Yeah. See, the best part is
finding. When you find something

149
00:10:13,210 --> 00:10:16,580
you want to make number one.
First off, find a profession you

150
00:10:16,580 --> 00:10:20,340
want to do. Like, I chose my
profession because it resonates with

151
00:10:20,340 --> 00:10:24,180
me personally. So do that
thing for you and then find an item

152
00:10:24,180 --> 00:10:28,180
that you know is selling well.
And even better if you can buy said

153
00:10:28,180 --> 00:10:32,180
mats from the auction house,
that may dip into your profit just

154
00:10:32,180 --> 00:10:34,700
a little bit on, like, your
first sell. But then everything else

155
00:10:34,700 --> 00:10:37,380
is pure profit. So then you're
just Selling and selling and selling.

156
00:10:37,380 --> 00:10:41,140
And I mean, people are. I
mean, people are. And we're gonna

157
00:10:41,140 --> 00:10:43,660
talk about pricing and stuff
here soon, I'm sure. But like. Well,

158
00:10:43,660 --> 00:10:45,940
I guess we'll talk about here.
But yeah, undercutting, like that's

159
00:10:45,940 --> 00:10:51,700
a thing in the decor markets.
Sometimes it comes, sometimes I am.

160
00:10:52,100 --> 00:10:54,940
There's probably three and
four times a day where I'm reposting

161
00:10:54,940 --> 00:10:57,980
those things. I'm totally fine
with it because with Tradeskill Master,

162
00:10:57,980 --> 00:11:00,420
that add on, it makes it super
easy to cancel all your auctions.

163
00:11:00,740 --> 00:11:03,660
You know, with the Bruto, you
got, you know, get your mail, you

164
00:11:03,660 --> 00:11:06,310
get all your items, you put
them right back up, Right? Well,

165
00:11:06,310 --> 00:11:10,470
sometimes I am reposting them.
Even the price is the same. So that

166
00:11:10,470 --> 00:11:13,710
way I'm the first person on
the, on the docket. That's how, you

167
00:11:13,710 --> 00:11:16,670
know, the auction house works.
So it's like whoever posts most recently

168
00:11:16,670 --> 00:11:20,270
gets to get it first. Right.
So sometimes I'm doing that, that

169
00:11:20,270 --> 00:11:23,790
strategy as well, just to make
sure I'm tippity top, you know. And

170
00:11:23,790 --> 00:11:26,670
it's been working really well.
Just taking advantage. Doesn't matter

171
00:11:26,670 --> 00:11:29,630
what the sale price is. Except
for today, like somebody gouged it

172
00:11:29,870 --> 00:11:32,510
by like 2000. I'm like, I know
this is worth way more than that.

173
00:11:32,880 --> 00:11:34,880
People will buy this stuff out
and they'll just reset the price.

174
00:11:34,880 --> 00:11:38,840
So I'm just waiting. But I
mean, like, it's fun. It's been a

175
00:11:38,840 --> 00:11:41,360
lot of fun. This is the most
gold I've ever made in this game,

176
00:11:41,680 --> 00:11:44,640
and I'm really trying for a
million. But by the time midnight

177
00:11:44,640 --> 00:11:50,720
comes out, I've never had
that. And I got to provide for the

178
00:11:50,800 --> 00:11:55,360
incoming transmog slots that
are stupid, expensive, or at least

179
00:11:55,440 --> 00:11:58,200
that we think they're gonna
be. We don't know yet. We don't have

180
00:11:58,200 --> 00:12:00,670
confirmation on stuff, but got
to get ready for that.

181
00:12:00,670 --> 00:12:03,510
Yeah. And we haven't really
like dived into what we talked about

182
00:12:03,510 --> 00:12:07,310
last week, about how we saw
Farts Gaming was buying a new slot

183
00:12:07,310 --> 00:12:12,030
for transmog and it was 25,000
gold. Yeah, we haven't really dived

184
00:12:12,110 --> 00:12:17,150
into doing that yet to find
out exactly what those tiers are.

185
00:12:17,150 --> 00:12:18,270
Yeah, we definitely should.

186
00:12:18,350 --> 00:12:22,590
So yeah, it's something that
we should do for sure. We do have.

187
00:12:23,550 --> 00:12:26,260
Should we talk about the
correction real quick and then get

188
00:12:26,260 --> 00:12:26,820
into the show?

189
00:12:26,980 --> 00:12:29,140
Well, hang on, let me tell
them. Yeah, you know what? Yeah,

190
00:12:29,140 --> 00:12:31,460
yeah, go ahead. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah.

191
00:12:31,700 --> 00:12:36,940
Okay. So speaking of not
researching things for our show real

192
00:12:36,940 --> 00:12:43,900
well, we. From time to time,
we will provide corrections if we

193
00:12:43,900 --> 00:12:49,500
are way off base on something,
we weren't really that off base on

194
00:12:49,500 --> 00:12:52,380
this one, but we did
completely miss a feature of the

195
00:12:52,380 --> 00:12:56,520
game, of this game that we've
been playing for 20 years and had

196
00:12:56,520 --> 00:12:59,080
no idea that this thing was a thing.

197
00:12:59,160 --> 00:13:02,000
It's during this part of the
broadcast that I pop in and usually

198
00:13:02,000 --> 00:13:07,080
say something insulting, but
being that it's Winter Veil, do better.

199
00:13:07,880 --> 00:13:08,600
You do good. You're great. You
do great. Freaking amateurs.

200
00:13:12,360 --> 00:13:15,480
Seriously, nowhere in the UI
is this anywhere that I have seen

201
00:13:15,480 --> 00:13:18,840
is there something we have
seriously missed. I didn't know this

202
00:13:18,840 --> 00:13:19,640
was a thing.

203
00:13:19,850 --> 00:13:21,090
Oh, we seriously missed it.

204
00:13:21,090 --> 00:13:22,250
Well, that's true. We did.

205
00:13:22,410 --> 00:13:25,410
Last week we were talking
about Guild Wars 2 and how they have

206
00:13:25,410 --> 00:13:29,810
a mentor system for new
players, Right. And we thought we

207
00:13:29,810 --> 00:13:33,090
were so smart talking about
this would be a really cool feature

208
00:13:33,090 --> 00:13:38,570
for Warcraft because we play
Warcraft and new players need some

209
00:13:38,570 --> 00:13:43,450
help. And we had some very
astute listeners. Yeah, we did send

210
00:13:43,450 --> 00:13:48,700
us some very nice emails about
it. Very nice messages. They were

211
00:13:48,700 --> 00:13:51,380
very kind when they didn't
have to be. They could have said

212
00:13:51,380 --> 00:13:56,980
something like, hey morons,
maybe it's the bald hair, but you

213
00:13:56,980 --> 00:14:02,180
completely pooped the bed on
this one. Because World of Warcraft

214
00:14:02,260 --> 00:14:08,220
does indeed have a new player
mentor system and we never knew it.

215
00:14:08,220 --> 00:14:10,380
It's probably because we
haven't, you know, we haven't been

216
00:14:10,380 --> 00:14:13,570
new players in a long time and
we don't seek things like that out.

217
00:14:13,570 --> 00:14:18,090
But lo and behold, friends,
there is a system that is called

218
00:14:18,090 --> 00:14:22,970
the Guide Mentor system. The
system came out in Around Shadowlands.

219
00:14:22,970 --> 00:14:28,410
We actually did our research
this week. This arrived, I think

220
00:14:28,410 --> 00:14:32,370
it was 2020, right around
Shadowlands. And it's it. Basically

221
00:14:32,370 --> 00:14:36,690
what it is is veteran players
can very easily help new players

222
00:14:36,930 --> 00:14:41,820
via a newcomer chat, but you
first have to become a mentor and

223
00:14:41,820 --> 00:14:45,460
it's built into the game to
where alliance players. If you want

224
00:14:45,460 --> 00:14:50,380
to be a mentor, you visit an
npc. She is in, in the Stormwind

225
00:14:50,380 --> 00:14:54,060
Embassy. Her name is Celeste
Periwinkle. And if you've had, if

226
00:14:54,060 --> 00:14:56,540
you have certain things that
you've done in the game, there's

227
00:14:56,540 --> 00:14:58,980
like certain achievements,
like they're pretty basic achievements

228
00:14:58,980 --> 00:15:01,900
that you would have had to
have gotten in order to become a

229
00:15:01,900 --> 00:15:05,750
mentor. If you have those, you
can become a mentor for the Horde.

230
00:15:05,750 --> 00:15:09,270
You're going to visit Ayla,
Path Leader, she's in the Orgrimmar

231
00:15:09,270 --> 00:15:13,350
Embassy and she'll offer you
the same thing. So if you get to

232
00:15:13,350 --> 00:15:19,150
be a mentor, you are, you're
considered a guide and you're going

233
00:15:19,150 --> 00:15:22,190
to be given like a green flag
over your head when you're, when

234
00:15:22,190 --> 00:15:26,630
you're in that mode. Newcomers
are offered whether, like when they

235
00:15:26,630 --> 00:15:28,630
first start, they're offered
whether or not they want to become

236
00:15:28,630 --> 00:15:32,120
part of the system. And then
you will get a. As a Newcomer, you'll

237
00:15:32,120 --> 00:15:36,120
get a little Murloc icon over
your head. And so it's not intrusive

238
00:15:36,120 --> 00:15:41,320
to others. Only Newcomers can
see the green flag and only Guides

239
00:15:41,720 --> 00:15:45,480
can see the Murloc icon. So
it's actually kind of neat the way

240
00:15:45,480 --> 00:15:48,320
they did. It's not intrusive
to anybody. You're not like running

241
00:15:48,320 --> 00:15:53,120
around Stormwind Dornagal with
a flag or a Murloc over your head

242
00:15:53,120 --> 00:15:57,600
that everybody can see. But
it's a system to where both parties

243
00:15:57,600 --> 00:16:02,610
will have access to the
newcomer chat and you can help other

244
00:16:02,610 --> 00:16:06,290
players, like, do their
things. They have questions, we have

245
00:16:06,290 --> 00:16:06,730
answers.

246
00:16:06,810 --> 00:16:07,730
We have answers.

247
00:16:07,730 --> 00:16:11,810
Which. It's cool. So I. I
think I'm gonna do this. I honestly

248
00:16:11,810 --> 00:16:14,650
do. I think I'm gonna go down
there and do it and make part of

249
00:16:14,650 --> 00:16:18,010
my game time just available
for people. Yeah.

250
00:16:19,130 --> 00:16:22,570
I don't know how we did not
know. Like, this was. That was the

251
00:16:22,570 --> 00:16:26,890
part that shocked me the most.
Like how on Azeroth's green Earth

252
00:16:27,190 --> 00:16:30,870
have we not noticed that this
was a thing ever?

253
00:16:31,830 --> 00:16:34,750
Well, like, again, it's
because we're not. We're not new

254
00:16:34,750 --> 00:16:38,310
players. We know the game
pretty well, I think. Pretty well.

255
00:16:38,310 --> 00:16:43,189
I don't think we know the game
in and out. Obviously not. But I

256
00:16:43,189 --> 00:16:45,950
mean, if you're not seeking
something like this out. But I am

257
00:16:45,950 --> 00:16:49,190
now because I. I would like to
do it. I think it'd be really neat

258
00:16:49,190 --> 00:16:50,790
to be a mentor to new players.

259
00:16:50,870 --> 00:16:51,750
Yeah, definitely.

260
00:16:51,830 --> 00:16:55,650
So definitely. Anyway, we just
wanted to provide that correction

261
00:16:55,650 --> 00:17:00,010
and say that we're sorry and.

262
00:17:00,010 --> 00:17:01,930
Thank you to our listeners to
letting us know about it. That was

263
00:17:01,930 --> 00:17:04,330
awesome. We appreciate the
feedback, Immediate feedback too.

264
00:17:04,330 --> 00:17:06,970
They were pretty quick about
it. But anyway. This week on the

265
00:17:06,970 --> 00:17:11,290
show, folks, we chat about a
wow. Player making a difference down

266
00:17:11,290 --> 00:17:15,330
under. Ian gets candid with
USA Today. Land surveyors have been

267
00:17:15,330 --> 00:17:20,970
spotted in your neighborhood.
We reveal something big, AKA our

268
00:17:20,970 --> 00:17:25,870
very first live show and how
you can be a part of it.

269
00:17:26,270 --> 00:17:27,710
Well, just revealed it.

270
00:17:27,870 --> 00:17:29,070
Well, you wrote it in there.

271
00:17:29,150 --> 00:17:31,470
Well, that was. So you knew
what it was. Not the people.

272
00:17:31,710 --> 00:17:35,150
Oh, hey, we're doing our first
live show. Details coming soon.

273
00:17:36,190 --> 00:17:36,670
Yeah.

274
00:17:38,910 --> 00:17:41,630
Well, folks, this episode,
this episode, this show is for the

275
00:17:41,630 --> 00:17:45,230
casual player. So those of us
who grew up playing Warcraft, we

276
00:17:45,230 --> 00:17:50,130
Got older working 9 to 5. Have
a family, kids. All that. But you

277
00:17:50,130 --> 00:17:53,610
love World of Warcraft. Folks,
this show's for you. Welcome home.

278
00:17:53,610 --> 00:17:55,410
We'll be right back after this
commercial break.

279
00:17:56,370 --> 00:18:00,930
Every Winter Veil. Great
Father Winter checks his list twice.

280
00:18:01,410 --> 00:18:06,290
But this year, the Naughty
List is being reviewed by a very

281
00:18:06,450 --> 00:18:07,458
special consultant. All right,
Great Father. I've completed the

282
00:18:07,458 --> 00:18:07,854
audit. Good news. We can
reduce gift distribution by 40% if

283
00:18:07,854 --> 00:18:07,953
we redefine Naughty. Ah,
redefine Naughty. Absolutely. For

284
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
example, anyone who stood and
fired during a raid. Naughty. That's

285
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
most raiders. Exactly. Huge
savings. Hunters. Especially Beastmaster,

286
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
who misdirected the tank as a
joke. Naughty. That was one time.

287
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
It was logged in. Here's
another one. Players who didn't move

288
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
when the boss yelled run.
Naughty. Some people panic when they

289
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
encounter mechanics. Eh, cold
builds character. Murlocs. Preemptively

290
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
naughty? Absolutely not.
Provisionally naughty. Is there anybody

291
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
still on the Nice list? Let's
see here. There's one healer who

292
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
never lets anyone die. And
there's a person who brings feasts

293
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
and flasks to raids. Ah, a
true hero. Yeah, we're monitoring

294
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
them. And you? Where do you
fall on the list? Oh, me? I'm relatively

295
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
naughty, but my lawyer
believes it's hearsay, so I filed

296
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
an appeal. Approved. You just
stamped yourself Nice consulting

297
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
fee, Park. But alas, my little
green friend, that's fine. The internal

298
00:18:07,953 --> 00:18:07,953
Naughty List doesn't require
your signature. ThisWinter Veil,

299
00:17:59,046 --> 00:18:07,185
remember, the Naughty List is
eternal, and audits are dangerous.

300
00:18:07,185 --> 00:18:07,877
Wait, we haven't even
discussed monetizing goodwill. Happy

301
00:18:07,877 --> 00:18:07,955
Wintervale from Azeroth
Morning Radio. Amon.

302
00:20:06,120 --> 00:20:10,080
This be Iacona, and when I not
be explaining that Iacona is spelled

303
00:20:10,080 --> 00:20:13,200
with an uppercase I, and
that's not a lowercase l, can I be

304
00:20:13,200 --> 00:20:15,160
listening to Azeroth Morning Radio?

305
00:20:25,320 --> 00:20:29,520
All right, keeping up with the
Christmas trend here or Winter Veil

306
00:20:29,520 --> 00:20:34,120
trend here in this wonderful
episode of amr. Folks, it's time

307
00:20:34,120 --> 00:20:35,120
for the Heroes call.

308
00:20:37,200 --> 00:20:43,120
Heroes call Adventures. We got
a very cool submission this week

309
00:20:43,360 --> 00:20:48,560
and want to give a lot of love
to Plague, who submitted the following

310
00:20:48,720 --> 00:20:54,280
message. I was listening to
the weekly no Lever podcast and found

311
00:20:54,280 --> 00:20:57,760
something that might be good
for the Heroes call board. It's called

312
00:20:57,760 --> 00:21:04,400
Project Panda and that came
along with a link. So Jib sent that

313
00:21:04,400 --> 00:21:07,600
over to me. I said, hey, we
got a. Got a submission. Take a look

314
00:21:07,600 --> 00:21:12,080
at this. So I was getting
ready to head out on a death march

315
00:21:12,320 --> 00:21:18,480
of an early morning run, and I
figured there is no better time to

316
00:21:18,480 --> 00:21:21,520
get locked into a podcast.
Find out what this is all about.

317
00:21:22,000 --> 00:21:26,540
Than to throw it in my ear
holes and go for the run. So I did

318
00:21:26,540 --> 00:21:30,940
that and I listened to the
entirety of this podcast, which is

319
00:21:30,940 --> 00:21:35,620
actually really cool. Higher
level players. And they. The host

320
00:21:35,700 --> 00:21:39,580
does an interview like, these
are. These are the folks from Radar

321
00:21:39,580 --> 00:21:45,780
IO. So it's an understatement
when I say that these are podcasters

322
00:21:45,860 --> 00:21:52,180
that basically do and support
Radar IO, which if you didn't know,

323
00:21:52,180 --> 00:21:57,620
is an add on specifically for
Raiding and Mythic plus. So yes,

324
00:21:57,700 --> 00:22:02,180
again, pretty obvious. These
are veteran players. Well, the hosts

325
00:22:02,340 --> 00:22:07,940
will interview somebody as
they run a key, a mythic plus key.

326
00:22:08,340 --> 00:22:13,420
And they were running a plus
12 while they were having this interview.

327
00:22:13,420 --> 00:22:18,860
And you would have never known
it like it was fantastic, the conversation

328
00:22:18,860 --> 00:22:22,920
that these gentlemen had while
they were running a plus 12. 0 chance

329
00:22:23,400 --> 00:22:27,480
in hell that I am gonna have
that kind of concentration. Because

330
00:22:27,480 --> 00:22:32,480
when we end up running
Mythics, even lower Mythics jibs.

331
00:22:32,480 --> 00:22:34,120
What do I do as a healer?

332
00:22:34,120 --> 00:22:36,600
Stress out and get angry when
I put levitate on you?

333
00:22:37,960 --> 00:22:39,960
Not the response I was looking for.

334
00:22:40,200 --> 00:22:42,200
Okay, pretty accurate.

335
00:22:42,600 --> 00:22:46,800
Yeah, he loves to put levitate
on me when I'm in the middle of my

336
00:22:46,800 --> 00:22:55,170
healing. And anyway, we. We're
okay now. We're better now. No, I

337
00:22:55,170 --> 00:23:00,730
get stressed out and I white
knuckle the F out of my Naga. Oh

338
00:23:00,730 --> 00:23:05,730
my God. So anyway, let me get
to the point of this. Point of this

339
00:23:05,730 --> 00:23:09,970
is I listened to this. It was
a great podcast about Project Panda.

340
00:23:09,970 --> 00:23:17,240
And Panda is a. He's a former.
He's okay. Panda is now called Panda

341
00:23:17,240 --> 00:23:21,960
tv, but formerly Panda was
called Chinglish tv. He's an Australian

342
00:23:21,960 --> 00:23:25,320
World of Warcraft player and
streamer for the last 13 years. So

343
00:23:25,320 --> 00:23:29,080
definitely a veteran of both
World of Warcraft and content creation.

344
00:23:29,480 --> 00:23:35,440
Well, Panda is doing an
initiative down in Australia where

345
00:23:35,440 --> 00:23:40,600
he lives, where he's aiming to
break the cycle of poverty and homelessness

346
00:23:41,510 --> 00:23:44,550
through targeted support and
life changing opportunities. And

347
00:23:44,550 --> 00:23:48,790
that comes right from their
website, which I will definitely

348
00:23:48,790 --> 00:23:53,430
give you guys. So a few facts
here. There's a hundred, over 122,000

349
00:23:53,430 --> 00:23:58,470
homeless in Australia. So what
Panda has started doing, he is buying

350
00:23:58,470 --> 00:24:03,150
supplies and making backpacks
with basic supplies and hand delivering

351
00:24:03,150 --> 00:24:08,860
them to the unhoused in
Australia. He doesn't show the videos,

352
00:24:09,420 --> 00:24:13,180
you know, to keep anonymity
for people. He does not monetize

353
00:24:13,180 --> 00:24:17,420
this. A hundred percent of the
donations that he gets goes to building

354
00:24:17,420 --> 00:24:20,820
backpacks. This is not a
monetization thing for him. And he

355
00:24:20,820 --> 00:24:26,540
made a lot of pretty funny
jokes about it in. In the podcast

356
00:24:26,540 --> 00:24:30,020
where he was talking about how
you Know if he was doing this from

357
00:24:30,020 --> 00:24:33,420
a business perspective, it's a
terrible design because he's not

358
00:24:33,420 --> 00:24:38,430
making a thing off of it. This
is just 100% goodness in being a

359
00:24:38,430 --> 00:24:41,710
human being in what he's
trying to do. So again, it's 100%

360
00:24:41,710 --> 00:24:45,910
non profit. All donations go
into making more backpacks. But he

361
00:24:45,910 --> 00:24:51,670
goes into a remarkable story
of himself and his upbringing and

362
00:24:51,670 --> 00:24:56,870
the trials that he has
withstood through his own life, including

363
00:24:57,110 --> 00:25:00,390
a time where even he was
homeless and struggling on the streets.

364
00:25:01,580 --> 00:25:06,860
So this was perfect for the
Heroes call board because this kind

365
00:25:06,860 --> 00:25:10,460
of thing is exactly what we're
talking about where you have one

366
00:25:10,860 --> 00:25:15,700
person making a huge
difference. And I just, I don't think

367
00:25:15,700 --> 00:25:18,860
you can deny that the world
needs more of this, but it's a really

368
00:25:18,860 --> 00:25:21,780
neat story. I went to his
website, looked at the stuff. It's

369
00:25:21,780 --> 00:25:24,380
very impressive. I watched a
few of his videos. He's on TikTok,

370
00:25:25,260 --> 00:25:29,260
just some really cool stuff
that he is doing here.

371
00:25:29,340 --> 00:25:33,060
That's awesome. Yeah, I do
remember him being Chinglish and

372
00:25:33,060 --> 00:25:36,900
in fact I remember when he
switched over to Panda. So like that

373
00:25:36,900 --> 00:25:40,820
was several years ago now at
this point. I used to watch him pretty

374
00:25:40,820 --> 00:25:44,900
religiously there for a while
when he would stream and, and fast

375
00:25:44,900 --> 00:25:47,500
forward to where we're at now
and you know, that's awesome. You

376
00:25:47,500 --> 00:25:51,100
know, we talk oftentimes here
on AMR about leading with kindness

377
00:25:51,100 --> 00:25:53,820
and selflessness and just
being kind, you know, and taking

378
00:25:53,820 --> 00:25:57,370
care of your fellow gamer and.
And I love seeing stuff like this.

379
00:25:57,370 --> 00:25:59,730
Absolutely. Is there. How can
they get involved?

380
00:26:00,130 --> 00:26:03,490
So in order to, to support the
project or if you're just interested

381
00:26:03,490 --> 00:26:07,890
in seeing what the project is
about, you can go to his website

382
00:26:07,890 --> 00:26:12,570
PandaTV AU. That's the
website. All the information is on

383
00:26:12,570 --> 00:26:15,330
there, including how to
donate. I think there's three different

384
00:26:15,330 --> 00:26:20,910
levels of backpacks that you
can, that you can buy and you basically,

385
00:26:21,070 --> 00:26:24,230
you know, send a donation and
then he directly takes a donation,

386
00:26:24,230 --> 00:26:27,390
goes out, buys the stuff, puts
them together right in his own house

387
00:26:27,710 --> 00:26:30,910
and then he gets on the road.
Sounded like once a week he goes

388
00:26:30,910 --> 00:26:34,390
out and he just looks for
people that he thinks, you know,

389
00:26:34,390 --> 00:26:37,390
would need the backpack offers
that, it offers it up to him. It's

390
00:26:37,390 --> 00:26:39,830
got like a van with all of
his, you know, logos and stuff on

391
00:26:39,830 --> 00:26:42,750
it and talks about the
outreach and stuff like that. You

392
00:26:42,750 --> 00:26:49,240
can also find Panda on TikTok.
It's Panda TV O C E on TikTok. And

393
00:26:49,240 --> 00:26:51,600
then of course, if you're
interested in his streaming, he's

394
00:26:51,600 --> 00:26:57,520
still streaming. It's Twitch
tv. Panda tv. And I think it's important

395
00:26:57,600 --> 00:27:02,519
to also highlight Plague for
bringing this to our attention. This

396
00:27:02,519 --> 00:27:05,200
is the kind of stuff that we
really, really appreciate and it

397
00:27:05,200 --> 00:27:07,640
was the perfect message for
the Heroes call.

398
00:27:07,640 --> 00:27:08,040
Yeah.

399
00:27:08,040 --> 00:27:13,520
So thank you very, very much
and thank you to Panda for, for doing

400
00:27:13,520 --> 00:27:17,720
this and just, you know, a
heartfelt, very warm, hearty thank

401
00:27:17,720 --> 00:27:20,280
you for doing stuff like this
and just being a good guy. He had.

402
00:27:20,280 --> 00:27:23,320
You should listen to this
podcast. It actually is very, very

403
00:27:23,320 --> 00:27:27,040
good. The weekly no Leaver
podcast. He talks about a lot of

404
00:27:27,040 --> 00:27:32,960
the stories that he went
through himself and like the things

405
00:27:32,960 --> 00:27:36,640
that he goes through in, in
dealing with folks who are unhoused.

406
00:27:36,640 --> 00:27:42,590
And there's a lot of. A lot of
mental illness that he has to deal

407
00:27:42,590 --> 00:27:48,550
with. And he's got some pretty
interesting stories about how he's

408
00:27:48,550 --> 00:27:52,390
kind of trying to be kind and
benevolent and the tables get turned

409
00:27:52,390 --> 00:27:56,750
on him and he's just so kind
about the way that he deals with

410
00:27:56,750 --> 00:28:02,790
it. The episode of Raider IO's
Weekly no Lever podcast is the one

411
00:28:02,790 --> 00:28:07,520
from episode or one from
October 3rd. That's the one you want.

412
00:28:07,600 --> 00:28:12,480
It's an excellent episode. And
please do yourself a favor. If you're

413
00:28:12,480 --> 00:28:15,360
interested in learning more
about Panda tv, go listen to it.

414
00:28:15,520 --> 00:28:16,280
It's really cool.

415
00:28:16,280 --> 00:28:18,360
Absolutely. Well, and we'll
have all this linked at the Show

416
00:28:18,360 --> 00:28:21,920
Notes as well. So you guys can
just go to the azerothmorningradio.com

417
00:28:22,160 --> 00:28:25,480
on this episode page and
everything will be there. So it'll

418
00:28:25,480 --> 00:28:28,200
be easier, maybe easier for
you to find it all. We'll have it

419
00:28:28,200 --> 00:28:31,600
all there listed for you. And
yes, thank you Panda for this. And

420
00:28:32,080 --> 00:28:35,480
also Plague. That's. Yeah,
agreed. This is the stuff we want

421
00:28:35,480 --> 00:28:39,160
to see and it's really
exciting to see. So anyway, I love

422
00:28:39,160 --> 00:28:39,440
it.

423
00:28:41,760 --> 00:28:47,360
Breaking news brought to all
of you by the Goblin News Network.

424
00:28:49,200 --> 00:28:52,080
Well, before we get into the
news, I actually have breaking news.

425
00:28:52,080 --> 00:28:55,920
At the time of this recording,
Night Elf and Blood Elf theme player

426
00:28:56,000 --> 00:29:01,260
houses are now available.
Available on the Midnight Beta. This

427
00:29:01,260 --> 00:29:05,900
coming to us from wowhead.com
pasting links as I talk. With the

428
00:29:05,900 --> 00:29:09,940
latest build of the Midnight
beta, Blizzard has enabled the option

429
00:29:09,940 --> 00:29:15,620
to create Blood Elf and Night
Elf themed houses. You ready for

430
00:29:15,620 --> 00:29:15,820
this?

431
00:29:15,820 --> 00:29:21,500
I realized that the last thing
you said there saved me from stopping

432
00:29:21,500 --> 00:29:28,080
this recording and logging
into the game too. I was like, what?

433
00:29:29,040 --> 00:29:32,080
And he's like, in the Midnight Beta.

434
00:29:36,320 --> 00:29:40,800
Oh, let me tell you, this is
stunning. I'm not a Night Elf person.

435
00:29:41,520 --> 00:29:45,920
This is stunning. This is. Oh
man. And the Blood Elf. Blood Elf

436
00:29:45,920 --> 00:29:50,320
looks Cool too. But whoo.
Yeah. So, yeah.

437
00:29:50,800 --> 00:29:52,000
Excited. Mm.

438
00:29:52,160 --> 00:29:52,640
Mm.

439
00:29:54,460 --> 00:29:58,220
So night elf houses come with
options such as stone embellished

440
00:29:58,300 --> 00:30:02,500
or wood styling. And blood elf
houses come with a variety of options

441
00:30:02,500 --> 00:30:06,780
including rustic woodland.
That sounds awesome. Or embellished

442
00:30:06,940 --> 00:30:07,580
roofing.

443
00:30:07,980 --> 00:30:13,100
So yeah, the woodland sounds
very interesting for blood elves.

444
00:30:13,980 --> 00:30:18,540
Oh man. If you had a blood elf
hunter. Oh boy. Jibs.

445
00:30:19,020 --> 00:30:22,460
Oh boy. Anyway, so you can
look forward to that on the Midnight

446
00:30:24,140 --> 00:30:24,860
beta.

447
00:30:25,900 --> 00:30:29,260
Freaking podcasting with
Steamboat Willie here. No idea.

448
00:30:29,820 --> 00:30:32,500
Yeah, I gotta. I got a pretty
mean impersonation of that one. But

449
00:30:32,500 --> 00:30:36,300
anyway, World of Warcraft is
changing. I'm nervous about what

450
00:30:36,300 --> 00:30:40,700
that means. It's coming to us
from USA Today, so let's give you

451
00:30:40,700 --> 00:30:43,620
the gist of what this is. So
World of Warcraft is preparing for

452
00:30:43,620 --> 00:30:47,610
one of the most ambitious
overhauls in its 21 year history

453
00:30:47,610 --> 00:30:51,170
with the upcoming expansion
Midnight. This isn't just new content.

454
00:30:51,570 --> 00:30:54,410
Midnight introduces player
housing for the first time, which

455
00:30:54,410 --> 00:30:57,530
we've already kind of got our
taste of. Reworks combat systems

456
00:30:57,530 --> 00:31:01,330
and the user interface and
deliberately reduces reliance on

457
00:31:01,330 --> 00:31:05,690
community made combat add ons.
Changes that will affect nearly every

458
00:31:05,690 --> 00:31:06,050
player.

459
00:31:06,290 --> 00:31:11,770
Let's rewind just one quick
second. World of Warcraft is changing.

460
00:31:11,770 --> 00:31:14,880
I'm nervous about what that
means, which is the title of the

461
00:31:14,880 --> 00:31:19,320
article and Jib says this
coming to us from USA Today.

462
00:31:19,560 --> 00:31:20,920
I know, isn't this crazy?

463
00:31:21,080 --> 00:31:25,560
That's not something that you
hear every day and I think it's a

464
00:31:25,560 --> 00:31:31,320
pretty good indicator that
you've made it when USA Today is

465
00:31:31,320 --> 00:31:35,560
doing an article about your
game with one of your high level

466
00:31:35,560 --> 00:31:36,120
producers.

467
00:31:36,120 --> 00:31:38,920
Yeah, agreed. And speaking of
USA Today, something else that's

468
00:31:38,920 --> 00:31:42,480
kind of come back to gamers
and it's been around for a little

469
00:31:42,480 --> 00:31:46,280
bit now, but it's come back
into the fray as Game Informer. And

470
00:31:46,280 --> 00:31:49,480
folks, just a heads up, I
don't mean to deter us, but real

471
00:31:49,480 --> 00:31:53,560
quick, Game Informer is coming
out with a housing or Midnight edition

472
00:31:53,960 --> 00:31:58,280
of Game Informer on in January
and the COVID art is beautiful. This

473
00:31:58,280 --> 00:32:01,640
is one of those things that
you want to buy and keep, one to

474
00:32:01,640 --> 00:32:04,320
read and one to put as a
collectible somewhere and keep it

475
00:32:04,320 --> 00:32:07,530
safe because it looks
stunning. It's a bigger magazine

476
00:32:07,530 --> 00:32:10,610
than usual and if you're a
nerd like us, which I believe you

477
00:32:10,610 --> 00:32:12,610
are, you're gonna definitely
want to pick it up.

478
00:32:12,610 --> 00:32:15,410
You know what? I still have to
this day.

479
00:32:15,490 --> 00:32:16,130
What's up?

480
00:32:16,290 --> 00:32:22,050
The PC Gamer article on the
development of Star Wars Galaxies

481
00:32:22,770 --> 00:32:28,050
way back in like 20 or 2000.
Yeah, 2000.

482
00:32:28,610 --> 00:32:29,650
That's amazing.

483
00:32:29,890 --> 00:32:33,010
Yes, that's awesome. I'll
never forget. And I was like, this

484
00:32:33,010 --> 00:32:35,290
is gonna be one to keep. So I
kept it.

485
00:32:35,290 --> 00:32:38,370
Good for you. So good on you.
That's awesome, man. That's awesome.

486
00:32:38,930 --> 00:32:41,810
All right. So anyway, USA
Today Today articles. So they go

487
00:32:41,810 --> 00:32:47,250
on to say that the opinion
director, Louis Vella, Villa Lobos

488
00:32:47,490 --> 00:32:50,770
a long time WOW Player. Reese.
Hey, I did pretty good. Reese. Pretty

489
00:32:50,770 --> 00:32:50,970
well.

490
00:32:50,970 --> 00:32:51,490
You didn't.

491
00:32:51,490 --> 00:32:52,450
Yeah, I nailed it.

492
00:32:55,250 --> 00:32:59,490
Oh, Samsonite way off via Lobos.

493
00:32:59,980 --> 00:33:01,300
No, it's not. This is.

494
00:33:01,300 --> 00:33:01,980
Yes, it is.

495
00:33:02,140 --> 00:33:05,020
Maybe in Paris. I'm in Indiana.

496
00:33:06,780 --> 00:33:11,580
Don't you go make yourself a
damn Casadilla. Damn it, Napoleon.

497
00:33:16,940 --> 00:33:20,100
The people have to listen to
you. And I be absolutely five years

498
00:33:20,100 --> 00:33:23,340
old for like an hour and 15
minutes every week.

499
00:33:23,340 --> 00:33:25,820
You know, we had a request the
other day, someone wants us to do

500
00:33:25,820 --> 00:33:27,860
an eight hour episode. They
said, do you think you guys will

501
00:33:27,860 --> 00:33:29,980
ever get to a point where you
can just do eight hour episodes?

502
00:33:29,980 --> 00:33:33,420
And like, hey, never say
never, man. You never know. Maybe

503
00:33:33,420 --> 00:33:35,060
we eventually are live for
that long.

504
00:33:35,380 --> 00:33:39,380
Dude, I'd be sending you like
dead flowers and flipping you off

505
00:33:39,860 --> 00:33:41,380
at like the three hour mark.

506
00:33:42,100 --> 00:33:46,500
Maybe we do that for extra
life. One year. Anyway, so anyway.

507
00:33:46,500 --> 00:33:50,780
Louie Villalobos, a longtime
wow. Player, recently spoke with

508
00:33:50,780 --> 00:33:56,300
game director Ian has a costas
and was candid about the risk involved.

509
00:33:56,300 --> 00:34:00,830
Ian said, quote, I owe the
game a great debt and yet I also

510
00:34:00,830 --> 00:34:03,950
don't want to be the guy who
ruins wow. End quote.

511
00:34:03,950 --> 00:34:05,190
We don't want you to be either.

512
00:34:05,590 --> 00:34:06,870
Yeah, we don't want that either.

513
00:34:07,590 --> 00:34:08,310
Don't do that.

514
00:34:08,310 --> 00:34:11,750
We believe in you. You can do
it. Housing arrives first with early

515
00:34:11,750 --> 00:34:15,270
access beginning December 2nd,
which we've already enjoyed. And

516
00:34:15,430 --> 00:34:19,150
the writer also says early
beta testing shows it's more than

517
00:34:19,150 --> 00:34:23,270
decorative. It reflects player
achievements and encourages long

518
00:34:23,750 --> 00:34:26,460
term progression. Would you
agree on that last part? Long term

519
00:34:26,460 --> 00:34:28,660
progression? I feel like. So,
yeah, I would.

520
00:34:28,740 --> 00:34:32,860
You know what it feels like.
They touted what the housing system

521
00:34:32,860 --> 00:34:37,100
was going to be and they
delivered on everything. They said

522
00:34:37,100 --> 00:34:38,746
it was going to be 100%.

523
00:34:38,934 --> 00:34:43,100
100% knocked it out of the
park. But the biggest shakeup may

524
00:34:43,100 --> 00:34:46,700
be combat. So Blizzard is
streamlining abilities and reclaiming

525
00:34:46,700 --> 00:34:50,100
control from add ons that have
shaped encounter design for years.

526
00:34:50,180 --> 00:34:54,180
Now, I say this with a caveat
because we just also found out through

527
00:34:54,180 --> 00:34:58,230
wowhead that they are kind of
releasing the reins a little bit.

528
00:34:58,230 --> 00:35:01,430
They are gonna allow for some
spells to be tracked. So I don't

529
00:35:01,430 --> 00:35:04,190
know what that means, but
some. Some of that's coming back,

530
00:35:04,190 --> 00:35:08,630
so we'll see. But the biggest
they Say quote there's absolutely

531
00:35:08,630 --> 00:35:13,230
a risk. Ian said the safe play
would be to keep doing it like we've

532
00:35:13,230 --> 00:35:17,390
always done it. End quote. The
design goal, he says it's clarity

533
00:35:17,390 --> 00:35:22,920
without sacrificing mastery.
Quote, Easy to learn, very hard to

534
00:35:22,920 --> 00:35:23,920
master. End quote.

535
00:35:23,920 --> 00:35:27,640
With Midnight, now I have to
sacrifice my clarity and my mastery.

536
00:35:28,040 --> 00:35:30,080
Oh, I'm not gonna be able to
heal. Crap.

537
00:35:30,080 --> 00:35:31,000
I see what you're doing.

538
00:35:32,360 --> 00:35:36,120
Oh, oh, I read that wrong. My bad.

539
00:35:36,120 --> 00:35:42,720
With Midnight, Blizzard is
betting that. With Midnight, Blizzard

540
00:35:42,720 --> 00:35:46,480
is betting that change, not
comfort, is what keeps Azeroth alive.

541
00:35:46,480 --> 00:35:51,380
And players will soon find out
that gamble pays off. So what do

542
00:35:51,380 --> 00:35:54,620
you think? Man, I haven't
really thought about this in this

543
00:35:54,620 --> 00:35:57,180
way. And first off, I was
shocked, like you said earlier, that

544
00:35:57,500 --> 00:36:01,540
USA Today is covering World of
Warcraft. Granted, this was an opinion

545
00:36:01,540 --> 00:36:03,700
piece, but the fact it's in
USA Today, like, if you actually

546
00:36:03,700 --> 00:36:07,140
go and read the article, he
talks about how oftentimes the people

547
00:36:07,140 --> 00:36:09,500
he works with, they're trying
to get him to go out and about. He's

548
00:36:09,500 --> 00:36:13,340
like, no, I'm a gamer. And so,
like, that's how he decompresses.

549
00:36:13,500 --> 00:36:16,500
And he's been playing wow for.
I think it was a better part of 13

550
00:36:16,500 --> 00:36:21,650
years. So, like, this is, you
know, like, is just like you and

551
00:36:21,650 --> 00:36:24,810
I, you know, it's. It's the
warm blanket, right? You come home

552
00:36:24,810 --> 00:36:28,650
to. And I hadn't really
thought about it. But you know what?

553
00:36:28,650 --> 00:36:33,330
Like, they are really. They
really are putting a lot into one

554
00:36:33,330 --> 00:36:39,490
expansion. A lot of changes, a
lot of updates all in one. It's not

555
00:36:39,490 --> 00:36:42,650
happening over the course of
patches here, patches there. Maybe

556
00:36:42,650 --> 00:36:45,870
they'll. The last Titan. No,
it's happening here at midnight.

557
00:36:45,870 --> 00:36:49,670
There's a lot of planning for
the future. That's what I. That's

558
00:36:49,670 --> 00:36:55,550
what I see. And I see that
there's. There's a. There's always

559
00:36:55,550 --> 00:37:01,030
been a buzz out there about,
like, world of Warcraft 2. And I

560
00:37:01,030 --> 00:37:07,150
think that this, what we're
seeing right now is World of Warcraft

561
00:37:07,150 --> 00:37:13,040
2. There's updates happening
to the old parts of the world. They're

562
00:37:13,040 --> 00:37:18,640
bringing things around with
housing. So we're gonna see the successor

563
00:37:18,640 --> 00:37:24,280
to World of Warcraft within
World of Warcraft as the game stands

564
00:37:24,759 --> 00:37:28,640
now. And I'm completely fine
with that. I love the direction that

565
00:37:28,640 --> 00:37:31,560
they're taking it. And yeah,
there's going to be some missteps

566
00:37:31,880 --> 00:37:36,530
here and there. You know,
we've listened in our own community,

567
00:37:36,530 --> 00:37:40,290
with our own friends for the
last several weeks as many of them

568
00:37:40,370 --> 00:37:44,770
have taken a dive into the
beta and there's goods and there's

569
00:37:44,770 --> 00:37:48,530
bads. And we've watched, you
know, a lot of, A lot of our friends

570
00:37:48,610 --> 00:37:52,570
like, be very indecisive about
what they're going to play because

571
00:37:52,570 --> 00:37:57,250
of the changes that are, that
are being made. And I understand

572
00:37:57,650 --> 00:38:02,250
what they are trying to do and
I think if they stick to what Ian

573
00:38:02,250 --> 00:38:08,650
just said here, easy to learn,
very hard to master. That harkens

574
00:38:08,650 --> 00:38:11,250
back to something that we've
said several times about our own

575
00:38:11,250 --> 00:38:15,090
experiences with World of
Warcraft, that the game can be as

576
00:38:15,170 --> 00:38:21,850
easy or as complicated as you
want it to be. The beauty is that

577
00:38:21,850 --> 00:38:27,570
there is options for you to
play the game that you want to play.

578
00:38:28,130 --> 00:38:31,620
So when you talk about the
World of Warcraft 2 thing, you have

579
00:38:31,620 --> 00:38:34,940
to go back and look at all of
this, all of these changes that are

580
00:38:34,940 --> 00:38:38,780
being made. And you're
absolutely right, there is a boatload

581
00:38:39,260 --> 00:38:46,100
of things coming in midnight,
but all of them are moving. They're

582
00:38:46,100 --> 00:38:50,620
moving the chains forward for
World of Warcraft as a game, as a

583
00:38:50,620 --> 00:38:55,020
franchise, and for the future
of what we're going to see. I really

584
00:38:55,020 --> 00:38:59,410
think the chains are being
moved forward. And that is not to

585
00:38:59,410 --> 00:39:03,690
undermine. Pun intended, is
not to undermine the fact that again,

586
00:39:04,170 --> 00:39:08,170
mistakes will be made, there
will be things that will need to

587
00:39:08,170 --> 00:39:11,490
be fixed, there will be
problems when it launches right off

588
00:39:11,490 --> 00:39:15,130
the bat because there is a
history there of there being bugs

589
00:39:15,130 --> 00:39:18,250
at the, at the start of
anything that they do. But those

590
00:39:18,250 --> 00:39:21,970
things eventually, for the
most part, get get hammered out and

591
00:39:21,970 --> 00:39:27,200
get addressed. But I love the
direction. I love where it's headed.

592
00:39:27,200 --> 00:39:30,200
This, There's a lot of future
proofing happening and there's a

593
00:39:30,200 --> 00:39:33,520
lot of directional changes
that are being made in order to make

594
00:39:33,520 --> 00:39:35,640
the future of World of
Warcraft better.

595
00:39:35,960 --> 00:39:39,640
I agree. Now, granted, like,
like you said, you know, like the,

596
00:39:40,200 --> 00:39:43,400
a lot of the updates and
things happening at once, they are

597
00:39:43,400 --> 00:39:46,920
making, they are taking risk.
Like, make no mistake, you know,

598
00:39:46,920 --> 00:39:51,550
this is a lot to do at once. I
also applaud them for the fact that

599
00:39:51,550 --> 00:39:55,110
they didn't shy away from that
thing, that they just went for it,

600
00:39:55,110 --> 00:39:59,550
you know, because this is, you
know, I don't. You know, in Star

601
00:39:59,550 --> 00:40:02,190
wars they always say that Sith
deals in absolutes. It's like it's

602
00:40:02,190 --> 00:40:04,950
either this or this, you know,
So I kind of don't like to apply

603
00:40:04,950 --> 00:40:06,990
that to gaming, but it's kind
of like one of those things, like

604
00:40:06,990 --> 00:40:10,750
this has to be a win or what's
that going to look like, you know

605
00:40:10,750 --> 00:40:14,790
what I mean? And I don't want
to, I don't like drawing that hard

606
00:40:14,790 --> 00:40:17,470
line here for this, but it's
just I guess devil's advocate in

607
00:40:17,470 --> 00:40:20,910
a way. You know, like you, you
really are pushing the envelope.

608
00:40:20,910 --> 00:40:24,750
You really are kind of like
you said, taking Warcraft to that,

609
00:40:24,750 --> 00:40:30,070
that next step, that next
level that honestly I think they

610
00:40:30,070 --> 00:40:35,670
want, the players want, all of
us want, you know, we really want

611
00:40:35,670 --> 00:40:39,390
to see that next step within
World of Warcraft and I'm really

612
00:40:39,390 --> 00:40:43,150
glad that they didn't shy away
from, from taking that challenge

613
00:40:43,150 --> 00:40:48,700
because this is a huge, huge
challenge. All 42, was it 42 specs?

614
00:40:48,700 --> 00:40:53,820
40 or 42 specs all being
streamlined. On top of that you add

615
00:40:53,820 --> 00:41:02,260
housing and, and you have to,
you had to basically sign off a finish

616
00:41:02,260 --> 00:41:07,460
off the first portion of War
within which changed during the expansion.

617
00:41:07,940 --> 00:41:10,340
You know, you even see it in
the narrative, the narrative changed

618
00:41:10,340 --> 00:41:14,630
and all to set up this entire
saga. There's so much that's happening

619
00:41:14,630 --> 00:41:19,590
and not to mention add ons.
Right. Like, I mean it's honestly,

620
00:41:19,590 --> 00:41:22,070
it's kind of surreal. It's
kind of crazy when you think about

621
00:41:22,070 --> 00:41:26,590
just how much is, is going
into one expansion. It's a lot.

622
00:41:26,910 --> 00:41:31,950
Yeah. And the add on thing is
that is still a very hot button topic.

623
00:41:32,110 --> 00:41:34,950
Don't think that we're just,
you know, because we're supportive

624
00:41:34,950 --> 00:41:39,400
of the changes that we're
making that we're not blind to what

625
00:41:39,400 --> 00:41:43,160
the add on thing, the changes
to add ons, how that is affecting

626
00:41:43,160 --> 00:41:46,680
people because we're
completely sensitive to that. You

627
00:41:46,680 --> 00:41:50,840
know, everybody's having to
make changes. People are having to

628
00:41:51,800 --> 00:41:56,760
change something that they
have at a way that they've been playing

629
00:41:56,760 --> 00:42:01,320
the game for years and years
and years and the replacement for

630
00:42:01,320 --> 00:42:05,930
those items, and I'm talking
specifically add ons, the replacement

631
00:42:06,410 --> 00:42:12,410
for those tools is not quite
feature rich yet. So there is, there's

632
00:42:12,410 --> 00:42:15,690
going to be this muddy period
and, and I'm specifically talking

633
00:42:15,690 --> 00:42:22,330
about things like weak auras
and details and anything that basically

634
00:42:22,410 --> 00:42:28,770
gathers information from the
back side of your game and turns

635
00:42:28,770 --> 00:42:36,850
it into stratics and, and
tools for raiders and you know, way

636
00:42:36,850 --> 00:42:40,730
to look ways, different ways
to look at, you know, top end damage,

637
00:42:40,730 --> 00:42:44,890
top end healing, the
breakdowns that the add ons provide

638
00:42:45,130 --> 00:42:48,330
for those things that really
help some of these top level players

639
00:42:49,210 --> 00:42:55,930
make decisions. They're not
gonna be there with the base UI that

640
00:42:56,490 --> 00:42:58,410
that Blizzard is adding into
it right now.

641
00:42:58,410 --> 00:42:58,810
Right.

642
00:42:58,810 --> 00:43:01,530
They're just not there. So
this is that muddy period where until

643
00:43:01,530 --> 00:43:04,610
those things are a little bit
more feature rich and native to the

644
00:43:04,610 --> 00:43:09,210
game there's gonna be a lot of
people that are still upset about

645
00:43:09,210 --> 00:43:15,050
that. And gamers are much
like, they're much like stubborn

646
00:43:15,050 --> 00:43:19,970
old people. They don't like
change. And that is exactly what's

647
00:43:19,970 --> 00:43:21,690
happening in a big way.

648
00:43:22,280 --> 00:43:22,400
So.

649
00:43:22,400 --> 00:43:26,200
And that's not, that's not a
knock on gamers IR1, so.

650
00:43:26,280 --> 00:43:26,680
Right.

651
00:43:26,840 --> 00:43:29,880
So I'm fine with it. You know,
it's. I feel the same way. They're,

652
00:43:29,880 --> 00:43:33,160
they're taking basic things
that people have been used to and

653
00:43:33,160 --> 00:43:36,560
reliant upon for so long to
play their game to the level that

654
00:43:36,560 --> 00:43:39,680
they do, and they're changing
those. They're taking those things

655
00:43:39,680 --> 00:43:45,640
away. So again, just to wrap
this one up, we are definitely sensitive

656
00:43:46,360 --> 00:43:49,340
to the way people feel about
their add ons.

657
00:43:49,340 --> 00:43:52,540
Yeah, yeah, I totally get it.
I mean, and honestly though, like,

658
00:43:52,940 --> 00:43:55,340
I mean, well, I'll just make
this point, you know, like, this

659
00:43:55,340 --> 00:43:59,500
was our referay into Warcraft,
was amr. You know, we had, we have

660
00:43:59,500 --> 00:44:04,099
spent the last decade and
other IPs kind of building our craft,

661
00:44:04,099 --> 00:44:08,340
our personal craft of
podcasting, but also, you know, just

662
00:44:08,340 --> 00:44:12,860
kind of making our way
through, through the MMO world, meanwhile,

663
00:44:13,750 --> 00:44:18,910
almost always playing Warcraft
along the way. So I say that to say,

664
00:44:18,910 --> 00:44:23,070
like, we've played so many
different ips that have restrictions

665
00:44:23,070 --> 00:44:26,350
on add ons. Like, SWTOR
doesn't allow any. New world doesn't

666
00:44:26,350 --> 00:44:30,590
really allow any. You know,
ESO allows some. But even then it

667
00:44:30,590 --> 00:44:33,870
was like you and I used them
kind of sparingly. Like we have played

668
00:44:33,870 --> 00:44:37,910
so many different MMOs that
have varying degrees of either limits

669
00:44:37,910 --> 00:44:42,600
or like, for all intents and
purposes, gloves off kind of mentality,

670
00:44:42,600 --> 00:44:47,000
like, do what you want. That
from my standpoint, when it comes

671
00:44:47,000 --> 00:44:52,240
to add ons, I understand why
people are upset. I get it wholeheartedly.

672
00:44:52,240 --> 00:44:54,999
Especially when, like you
said, when you've come to depend

673
00:44:54,999 --> 00:44:59,320
on that thing, right, as an
integral part of your gameplay. I

674
00:44:59,320 --> 00:45:02,560
do not want to shy away from
that. I do not want to minimize that

675
00:45:02,880 --> 00:45:07,310
because I totally get it and
understand. Speaking for myself personally

676
00:45:07,310 --> 00:45:10,510
though, just because of where
we've come from, solely because of

677
00:45:10,510 --> 00:45:14,390
where you and I have come
from, it doesn't bother me as much.

678
00:45:14,630 --> 00:45:19,630
You know, Like, I will say, if
they were to like take Demodal from

679
00:45:19,630 --> 00:45:23,390
me, where I couldn't have
multiple, you know, UI windows up

680
00:45:23,390 --> 00:45:25,630
within the game and moving
them around, I couldn't do that.

681
00:45:25,630 --> 00:45:29,230
That would definitely bum me
out. Same thing with transmog stuff.

682
00:45:29,230 --> 00:45:35,430
So, like, it's. I get it. But
the same token, like, I also, like

683
00:45:36,150 --> 00:45:38,790
I and wildstar you didn't
have, you couldn't have add ons in

684
00:45:38,790 --> 00:45:40,990
wildstar, I don't think
either. But like, I like when a game

685
00:45:40,990 --> 00:45:45,950
can, I like when a game can be
made so well that it doesn't necessarily

686
00:45:45,950 --> 00:45:48,790
require those things to get a
good experience right?

687
00:45:48,790 --> 00:45:51,430
And that's the direction that
they're headed, right, to make World

688
00:45:51,430 --> 00:45:56,190
of Warcraft as standalone as
possible. And if there's some, you

689
00:45:56,190 --> 00:46:01,550
know, additional fun features
that you would like to have something,

690
00:46:01,550 --> 00:46:09,190
you know, things like that,
that don't tap into the, you know,

691
00:46:09,190 --> 00:46:12,590
the actual numbers, the things
that are on the, on the back end

692
00:46:13,070 --> 00:46:18,230
within reference to combat. If
they can make the game as standalone

693
00:46:18,230 --> 00:46:21,910
as possible and just make
those other add ons that are, that

694
00:46:21,910 --> 00:46:25,820
are out there that are still
available to you quality of life

695
00:46:25,820 --> 00:46:29,460
things and they'll probably
still be looking at a lot of those

696
00:46:29,460 --> 00:46:32,580
other quality of life add ons
that are out there and slowly start

697
00:46:32,580 --> 00:46:36,580
implementing some of that
stuff. So there is an all encompassing

698
00:46:37,060 --> 00:46:41,060
UI for World of Warcraft that
allows it to stand on its own two

699
00:46:41,060 --> 00:46:47,060
feet. It's a big enough game
with big enough resources from a

700
00:46:47,380 --> 00:46:51,430
development standpoint and
from a support standpoint that they

701
00:46:51,430 --> 00:46:55,510
can 100% do that, pick and
choose the things that they like,

702
00:46:55,590 --> 00:46:59,230
still give the add on
community the ability to be creative

703
00:46:59,230 --> 00:47:03,390
with the things that they're
doing. But man, it's, I just, I like

704
00:47:03,390 --> 00:47:07,670
the direction, I'm 100% in
support of the direction that they're

705
00:47:07,670 --> 00:47:10,390
taking it to make World of
Warcraft as standalone as possible.

706
00:47:10,630 --> 00:47:14,510
Let me ask you this before we
move on to the next segment. How

707
00:47:14,510 --> 00:47:16,070
do you see this change affecting.

708
00:47:16,070 --> 00:47:20,760
Casual players less so than it
is affecting top level players?

709
00:47:21,080 --> 00:47:21,960
I could see that.

710
00:47:22,680 --> 00:47:27,960
And in like, here's the
reason. Casual players are much less

711
00:47:27,960 --> 00:47:35,440
apt to be going into the back
end of details and which is for all

712
00:47:35,440 --> 00:47:39,400
intents and purposes a DPS
meter. But it also tells you healing

713
00:47:39,640 --> 00:47:43,280
stratics and stuff like that
from your gameplay. Casual players

714
00:47:43,280 --> 00:47:49,100
are much less likely to go
into details and look at the stats

715
00:47:49,660 --> 00:47:57,940
of how much one particular
ability is healing. Whereas top level

716
00:47:57,940 --> 00:48:00,620
players, when they're looking
at new specs or changes to their

717
00:48:00,620 --> 00:48:09,420
specs, say as a healer will go
into that system and look at what

718
00:48:09,420 --> 00:48:14,310
items are healing the most so
that they can optimize their, their

719
00:48:14,310 --> 00:48:17,430
gameplay, optimize their
rotation, optimize what they're using.

720
00:48:18,230 --> 00:48:22,270
And that is definitely taking
place right now. In the beta for

721
00:48:22,270 --> 00:48:26,950
Midnight, there's, you know,
healers, dps, people who are experts

722
00:48:26,950 --> 00:48:31,070
in, in their particular class
and spec and they're looking at all

723
00:48:31,070 --> 00:48:35,150
of those numbers. So this kind
of stuff, when details goes away,

724
00:48:35,150 --> 00:48:40,210
they're not going to be able
to do that anymore. So I, I mean

725
00:48:40,210 --> 00:48:44,450
that's just one example of how
this is, is affecting that when these

726
00:48:44,450 --> 00:48:48,890
add ons go away it is 100
going to affect the higher tier players

727
00:48:49,610 --> 00:48:50,890
than it will the casual.

728
00:48:51,130 --> 00:48:54,410
Yeah, I, I agree. And you know
like every casual player is different.

729
00:48:54,410 --> 00:48:58,010
You know like for me
personally and also I would say for

730
00:48:58,010 --> 00:48:59,890
you as well because you've
made the comment too. We're both

731
00:48:59,890 --> 00:49:04,520
very much taking the
experience people, you know, like

732
00:49:04,520 --> 00:49:09,200
we take in for whatever it is
and obviously lore and story are

733
00:49:09,200 --> 00:49:14,320
huge components to us as well.
But you know, like so on that note,

734
00:49:14,320 --> 00:49:16,560
I'm sure there's other casuals
out there that are like that, you

735
00:49:16,560 --> 00:49:20,320
know, and, and they can kind
of take this in experiences, you

736
00:49:20,320 --> 00:49:24,560
know, take the experience in
whatever it is which is about to

737
00:49:24,560 --> 00:49:27,240
be a lot of updates and a lot
of other things. So it's definitely

738
00:49:27,240 --> 00:49:30,250
going to be interesting to see
how this develops again. I thought

739
00:49:30,250 --> 00:49:33,170
it was cool that USA Today
covered this. Regardless opinion

740
00:49:33,170 --> 00:49:38,290
piece or not, it's awesome. So
player houses will have visible exterior

741
00:49:38,290 --> 00:49:44,010
borders in midnight. This
coming to us from wowhead.com so

742
00:49:44,010 --> 00:49:47,490
folks, Blizzard has made
another quality of life improvement

743
00:49:48,130 --> 00:49:51,890
to player housing in midnight.
Responding directly to player feedback

744
00:49:51,890 --> 00:49:57,420
from the beta which yeah I
would also call like responding from

745
00:49:57,420 --> 00:50:00,900
early access as well. Maybe
that's what they meant too but because

746
00:50:00,900 --> 00:50:03,140
I know the community, I know
we talked about it, I know other

747
00:50:03,140 --> 00:50:06,060
community people have spoken
about it, the team definitely heard

748
00:50:06,060 --> 00:50:08,700
it loud and clear like we
really wanted, you know, these boundaries.

749
00:50:08,700 --> 00:50:12,140
So anyway, in the latest
update for the beta there's visible

750
00:50:12,140 --> 00:50:17,060
exterior borders now that are
added in the edit mode. So it's going

751
00:50:17,060 --> 00:50:21,070
to going to clearly show you
where your property begins and ends.

752
00:50:21,070 --> 00:50:23,710
Which is great because for a
while I was using fencing to help

753
00:50:23,710 --> 00:50:28,030
me that thing. So this is
awesome. It's going to help us eliminate

754
00:50:28,030 --> 00:50:30,230
the, I don't know, just 100.

755
00:50:30,470 --> 00:50:33,390
So yeah, the trial and error.
You're not going to have to, you

756
00:50:33,390 --> 00:50:35,910
know, set your fence up where
you think your property line is and

757
00:50:35,910 --> 00:50:38,310
then have it jam right back
into your bag.

758
00:50:38,390 --> 00:50:38,910
Yeah.

759
00:50:38,910 --> 00:50:44,550
Which it 100 does at this
point. But this is, this to me was

760
00:50:44,550 --> 00:50:48,320
a no brainer. I don't know how
hard it is on the back end to do

761
00:50:48,320 --> 00:50:50,920
something like this, but this
is kind of a no brainer for, for

762
00:50:50,920 --> 00:50:55,440
folks and I'm just happy to
see that they're they're supporting

763
00:50:55,440 --> 00:50:59,840
it and running with, making
that QOL improvement. I think it's

764
00:50:59,840 --> 00:51:04,280
another indication that they,
they do read the forums. They do

765
00:51:04,280 --> 00:51:07,440
read. They do pay attention to
their, to your feedback and they

766
00:51:07,440 --> 00:51:11,930
will make changes if things
seem like, okay, like, we can easily

767
00:51:11,930 --> 00:51:14,490
do this. Why wouldn't we do
this? It'll help players out. Another

768
00:51:14,490 --> 00:51:18,410
example is something we talked
about last week, which is the, the

769
00:51:18,410 --> 00:51:22,210
houses, they, you know, I kind
of really read that article this

770
00:51:22,210 --> 00:51:25,010
week where they're talking
about the houses being in the air.

771
00:51:25,330 --> 00:51:25,970
Oh, yeah.

772
00:51:26,370 --> 00:51:27,369
Yeah. So.

773
00:51:27,369 --> 00:51:27,970
Oh, yeah.

774
00:51:27,970 --> 00:51:31,610
It's obvious that the team has
put in so much time and effort to

775
00:51:31,610 --> 00:51:36,130
this that they saw people, you
know, putting their houses up in

776
00:51:36,130 --> 00:51:38,930
the air and looking for tools
and stuff to be able to do that so

777
00:51:38,930 --> 00:51:41,770
they can build better
creations with their, with their

778
00:51:41,770 --> 00:51:46,970
housing plots. And they just
100% said, yeah, what, we can support

779
00:51:46,970 --> 00:51:51,210
this. Why wouldn't we? So, you
know, they're adding tools so that

780
00:51:51,210 --> 00:51:55,170
you can elevate your house,
levitate your house basically, and

781
00:51:55,329 --> 00:51:57,970
do some of those cool things
that you, that you want to do with

782
00:51:57,970 --> 00:52:01,650
it. And they also said that,
oh, well, by the way, there's no

783
00:52:01,650 --> 00:52:06,220
bottom to your house right
now, so you're gonna need to cover

784
00:52:06,220 --> 00:52:09,620
it up until we figure out how
to fix that or until we come up with

785
00:52:09,620 --> 00:52:12,180
a fix for it, basically. Not
necessarily figure it out because

786
00:52:12,180 --> 00:52:14,820
I'm sure it won't be too, too
hard for them to put a floor in for

787
00:52:14,820 --> 00:52:19,020
you. But it's just another
example. They're listening to the

788
00:52:19,020 --> 00:52:21,460
things that people want,
they're witnessing the things that

789
00:52:21,460 --> 00:52:23,620
people want, and they're just
like, yeah, we can make that happen.

790
00:52:23,620 --> 00:52:24,220
Let's do it.

791
00:52:24,220 --> 00:52:25,420
Yeah, that's awesome.

792
00:52:25,420 --> 00:52:30,980
It is probably not to the
extent that old school Runescape

793
00:52:30,980 --> 00:52:35,210
is. If you don't know anything
about old school Runescape, they

794
00:52:35,210 --> 00:52:40,850
literally have a voting system
where the players vote for what they

795
00:52:40,850 --> 00:52:45,010
want and what they don't want,
and if the vote passes, it goes in.

796
00:52:45,570 --> 00:52:49,130
Just kind of cool. So not
quite to that level yet. I mean,

797
00:52:49,130 --> 00:52:53,810
they're still developers. They
gotta figure out and know what they

798
00:52:53,810 --> 00:52:57,490
can and cannot implement. You
have to draw the line somewhere.

799
00:52:58,250 --> 00:53:00,130
But it's still cool that
they're doing it.

800
00:53:00,130 --> 00:53:03,850
Yeah, it's cool. They not only
they come out with a excellent housing

801
00:53:03,850 --> 00:53:08,170
system, bar none. The best
housing system of any mmo, you know,

802
00:53:08,170 --> 00:53:10,810
I have now, I'll say that with
a caveat. I never played Final Fantasy.

803
00:53:10,970 --> 00:53:13,729
I never had a desire to play
Final Fantasy, admittedly. It's just

804
00:53:13,729 --> 00:53:17,330
not for me from an IP
standpoint, but I believe this to

805
00:53:17,330 --> 00:53:20,250
be the best housing system
that I've ever played.

806
00:53:21,050 --> 00:53:25,920
If not, that was a very honest
assessment. It was. And you're very

807
00:53:25,920 --> 00:53:28,520
kind in what you say. I'm just
gonna throw it out there and say

808
00:53:28,760 --> 00:53:32,800
I haven't even played Final
Fantasy 14's housing. And I guarantee

809
00:53:32,800 --> 00:53:35,560
this crushes it. Guaranteed.

810
00:53:35,800 --> 00:53:37,240
I mean, that's what I wanted
to say.

811
00:53:38,440 --> 00:53:39,200
I'll say it for you.

812
00:53:39,200 --> 00:53:41,840
And you know what? They not
only did. My point was not only did

813
00:53:41,840 --> 00:53:45,160
they come out with an amazing
housing system, but they continue

814
00:53:45,320 --> 00:53:49,080
to make the effort to pay
attention to feedback, crucial feedback.

815
00:53:49,470 --> 00:53:52,630
They didn't have to do that
thing because not every developer

816
00:53:52,630 --> 00:53:56,910
team does. Sometimes they
don't. Sometimes it. It felt as though

817
00:53:56,990 --> 00:54:00,510
when we were in other ips that
you were kind of, you know, like

818
00:54:00,590 --> 00:54:04,950
tossing your feedback out into
the wind. But this is something that

819
00:54:04,950 --> 00:54:07,750
clearly is incredibly
important to Blizzard. Clearly that

820
00:54:07,750 --> 00:54:11,830
they want to make the best
possible feature for you and they

821
00:54:11,830 --> 00:54:15,480
are taking that feedback in.
And look, that's. I mean, man, that's

822
00:54:15,480 --> 00:54:17,960
a good feeling as a player.
Like it just is.

823
00:54:18,520 --> 00:54:23,240
And they're turning around
what Blizzard used to be known as.

824
00:54:23,480 --> 00:54:28,040
Because this used to be an
issue being, being a good listener

825
00:54:28,760 --> 00:54:34,000
and less talking is something
that Blizzard has in the past not

826
00:54:34,000 --> 00:54:36,440
been known to do very well.

827
00:54:36,600 --> 00:54:38,120
I had kind of figured out to.

828
00:54:38,120 --> 00:54:42,370
Draw with you, they would draw
a hard line. And this is some very

829
00:54:42,530 --> 00:54:48,690
refreshing latest developments
on this. We're seeing that Blizzard

830
00:54:48,690 --> 00:54:53,010
is really listening and
implementing things that the players

831
00:54:53,570 --> 00:54:57,330
want and implementing changes
to those things that the players

832
00:54:57,410 --> 00:55:02,050
are requesting. So it's. It's
a good. I don't want to say new look.

833
00:55:02,530 --> 00:55:05,770
It make Blizzard seem like
they were terrible before.

834
00:55:05,770 --> 00:55:06,020
But.

835
00:55:06,170 --> 00:55:10,810
But that's. That's what was
out there, is that. Yeah, good luck.

836
00:55:10,810 --> 00:55:13,450
You know, like they're not
listening. Well, they're clearly

837
00:55:13,450 --> 00:55:16,250
listening absolutely there. So
it's a good change.

838
00:55:16,410 --> 00:55:20,930
Yeah, absolutely, man. It's a
good time to be a wow, wow fan. Folks.

839
00:55:20,930 --> 00:55:24,330
We're bringing Tool Time
Azeroth Edition back. Let's jump

840
00:55:24,330 --> 00:55:24,730
right in.

841
00:55:24,730 --> 00:55:25,530
Work, work.

842
00:55:28,250 --> 00:55:33,180
All right, so last episode we
told you that we were gonna be doing

843
00:55:33,180 --> 00:55:38,460
a housing segment this episode
and we absolutely are top housing

844
00:55:38,460 --> 00:55:42,980
add ons that we are using.
Right, Meow.

845
00:55:43,140 --> 00:55:45,060
Did you have a. Do you throw a
meow in there?

846
00:55:45,060 --> 00:55:46,900
Yeah. What movies that name
that movie.

847
00:55:46,900 --> 00:55:48,020
That is Super Troopers.

848
00:55:48,020 --> 00:55:54,020
That's right. Is Step out the
Car. Right. Meow, please. Oh, folks,

849
00:55:54,020 --> 00:55:58,520
so there are. There's a great
look there. There's a laundry list

850
00:55:58,520 --> 00:56:01,400
of add ons. And I'll be
honest. If you go to curseforge and

851
00:56:01,400 --> 00:56:06,440
you just type decor, holy cow.
I couldn't even get through them

852
00:56:06,440 --> 00:56:08,480
all. In fact, I couldn't even
install them to test them.

853
00:56:08,720 --> 00:56:10,080
So doing it right now.

854
00:56:10,160 --> 00:56:13,200
All right, so yeah, you do
that thing, just type decor.

855
00:56:14,320 --> 00:56:20,360
That reminded me of what,
twice last year? You know? You know,

856
00:56:20,360 --> 00:56:20,800
folks.

857
00:56:21,680 --> 00:56:24,090
Well, I'm going to talk about
the first one, and that is plumber.

858
00:56:24,090 --> 00:56:27,650
Now, this add on came into
into play during Dragonflight. I'll

859
00:56:27,650 --> 00:56:30,330
never forget when it came out
because Cash and I were super stoked.

860
00:56:30,330 --> 00:56:37,890
We were doing the seeds in the
emerald dream. And it is phenomenal.

861
00:56:37,890 --> 00:56:40,650
All the things they've added
since then. Coming back to it, this

862
00:56:40,650 --> 00:56:44,650
is the first time I've
installed it since that time. And

863
00:56:44,650 --> 00:56:47,330
holy cow, I just want to.
There's a couple things that particular.

864
00:56:47,490 --> 00:56:50,490
What you got look like you're
a crash dummy. Like your head's going

865
00:56:50,490 --> 00:56:51,570
all over the place. You good?

866
00:56:51,910 --> 00:56:55,070
Yeah. I have three screens and
I'm looking at the list that you're

867
00:56:55,070 --> 00:56:56,310
talking about. You're not lying.

868
00:56:56,390 --> 00:56:57,750
I know. It just keeps going.

869
00:56:58,390 --> 00:57:03,510
There's a bunch. Decor vendor.
Decor Decor treasure hunt. Oh, my.

870
00:57:03,910 --> 00:57:07,190
Yeah. Guys, you didn't know
that was a thing. Yeah, that's a

871
00:57:07,190 --> 00:57:07,350
thing.

872
00:57:07,350 --> 00:57:11,590
No, come on, man. You're
taking the fun out of it.

873
00:57:11,670 --> 00:57:14,630
Yeah, I don't. I don't want
that. Like, I want to do the riddle,

874
00:57:14,630 --> 00:57:16,750
you know, Like, I don't
understand why people wouldn't want

875
00:57:16,750 --> 00:57:20,070
to. I mean, I get it. Like
some. Not for everybody, but I mean,

876
00:57:20,070 --> 00:57:25,550
as I install it. Oh, my gosh.
What else?

877
00:57:25,550 --> 00:57:31,030
Here. Dump Decor Decor
Treasure Advanced Decoration. Crowey's

878
00:57:31,030 --> 00:57:35,270
Achievement Filter. Better
Homes and Decor. Great name.

879
00:57:35,590 --> 00:57:35,990
Yeah.

880
00:57:35,990 --> 00:57:36,950
Better Home and Gardens.

881
00:57:36,950 --> 00:57:37,510
Oh, yeah.

882
00:57:37,510 --> 00:57:38,350
Great name.

883
00:57:38,350 --> 00:57:38,910
Oh, yeah.

884
00:57:38,910 --> 00:57:43,270
Then Dar's Decor Lumber Riddle
Compass. There's another one. You

885
00:57:43,590 --> 00:57:51,530
lazy lazies. So funny. Decor
achievements. Yeah, we can keep going.

886
00:57:51,530 --> 00:57:52,490
I'm going to stop doing that.

887
00:57:52,490 --> 00:57:54,010
Yeah, yeah. It's a laundry list.

888
00:57:54,090 --> 00:57:54,970
He wasn't lying.

889
00:57:54,970 --> 00:57:59,970
Yeah. So confirmed. So anyway,
for plumbers, a couple things that

890
00:57:59,970 --> 00:58:03,370
does great for you that we
highly recommend. One, they just

891
00:58:03,370 --> 00:58:07,290
added a dye copy and paste
system. So that is now literally

892
00:58:07,290 --> 00:58:10,290
is the most recent update.
They've added dyes that you could

893
00:58:10,290 --> 00:58:15,750
copy and paste and also you
can copy the current decor item you

894
00:58:15,830 --> 00:58:20,870
are using. So the other day I
was. I was setting up presents under

895
00:58:20,870 --> 00:58:25,470
my homemade Christmas tree
setup in my house. And so all I have

896
00:58:25,470 --> 00:58:31,190
to do after I sit down said
box that I just tap alt and it generates.

897
00:58:31,910 --> 00:58:35,110
If I have it in my inventory,
in my housing inventory, my housing

898
00:58:35,110 --> 00:58:38,840
catalog, I think it's.
Whatever it's called, it'll pop it

899
00:58:38,840 --> 00:58:41,520
out immediately and set it
down right in front of me. And it's

900
00:58:41,520 --> 00:58:41,920
awesome.

901
00:58:41,920 --> 00:58:46,000
Do you feel like that should
be native to the ui and I think.

902
00:58:46,000 --> 00:58:48,560
It will be, yes. I think I agree.

903
00:58:48,800 --> 00:58:49,880
Yeah, I think it will be.

904
00:58:49,880 --> 00:58:52,919
One thing I've learned about
Plumber is and they're. I forget

905
00:58:52,919 --> 00:58:57,760
their name on X, but they're
always making tweaks and updates.

906
00:58:57,920 --> 00:59:01,680
They're all quality of life
changes. And oftentimes, like a lot

907
00:59:01,680 --> 00:59:04,080
of this stuff I feel like
actually gets added to the game later.

908
00:59:04,450 --> 00:59:06,290
Sometimes I feel like they're
just kind of ahead of the curve until

909
00:59:06,290 --> 00:59:10,050
it does get added. So anyway,
Plumber. Check that one out. Next

910
00:59:10,050 --> 00:59:11,490
one, Homebound.

911
00:59:13,650 --> 00:59:14,210
Yeah.

912
00:59:14,770 --> 00:59:17,170
This is probably the
granddaddy of them all.

913
00:59:17,250 --> 00:59:20,050
It is. We've talked about
Homebound before. Actually, we talked

914
00:59:20,050 --> 00:59:23,810
about Homebound when Homebound
wasn't Homebound. And now they are

915
00:59:23,810 --> 00:59:27,890
just like once since it came
out, like, they're crushing.

916
00:59:27,890 --> 00:59:28,450
Yeah.

917
00:59:28,450 --> 00:59:29,650
With what they're adding to it.

918
00:59:29,980 --> 00:59:32,860
Absolutely. They are. So you
can track housing rewards. You have

919
00:59:32,860 --> 00:59:36,940
vendors now that it shows you
their locations, which also can set

920
00:59:36,940 --> 00:59:40,940
markers on your map and tell
you what they sell. And then they

921
00:59:40,940 --> 00:59:44,860
have drops that shows you what
drops from the dungeon bosses. And

922
00:59:44,860 --> 00:59:48,500
also the most recent addition
was Professions. I'm going to tell

923
00:59:48,500 --> 00:59:52,140
you that's part of the secret
sauce about making money if you're

924
00:59:52,140 --> 00:59:58,070
wanting to craft decor items.
Because Homebound pairs incredibly

925
00:59:58,070 --> 01:00:02,630
well, seamlessly, in fact,
with Tradeskill Master, which tells

926
01:00:02,630 --> 01:00:06,030
you what stuff is selling for
in the auction house and how, you

927
01:00:06,030 --> 01:00:09,990
know, like the pace that it's
selling. So you know when you're

928
01:00:09,990 --> 01:00:13,670
going through that professions
tab and it will tell you all the

929
01:00:13,670 --> 01:00:16,910
professions. It has a drop
down. You click it and it starts

930
01:00:16,910 --> 01:00:19,070
at Classic. And as you scroll
down, it goes to the most recent.

931
01:00:19,150 --> 01:00:22,670
So in this case, War Within.
And as you mouse over these items,

932
01:00:23,090 --> 01:00:26,090
you're seeing what this stuff
is selling for. And if you're anything

933
01:00:26,090 --> 01:00:28,450
like me, where you're a
housing junkie, you know you're gonna

934
01:00:28,450 --> 01:00:31,170
go through gold quickly
anyway, so you got to restock. So

935
01:00:32,050 --> 01:00:33,570
definitely helps to get involved.

936
01:00:33,810 --> 01:00:38,490
So Trade Scale Master is. Is a
very helpful add on itself, but it

937
01:00:38,490 --> 01:00:43,490
does require a separate database.

938
01:00:43,650 --> 01:00:48,850
It. It's housing. Yeah. Okay.
So why say housing Trade Skill Master,

939
01:00:49,790 --> 01:00:52,670
I would highly encourage you.
If you are interested in installing

940
01:00:52,670 --> 01:00:59,350
that, watch a video on it.
Honestly, like, it's not super. It's

941
01:00:59,350 --> 01:01:03,110
not just click install and
you're ready to go. You have to install

942
01:01:03,110 --> 01:01:06,470
it. You have to also install
the App Helper and then you have

943
01:01:06,470 --> 01:01:09,270
to install the actual
tradeskill master program on your

944
01:01:09,270 --> 01:01:12,230
computer. It's just a few
extra steps that you're not typically

945
01:01:12,230 --> 01:01:16,220
accustomed to if you're, you
know, in the add on game. So just

946
01:01:16,220 --> 01:01:19,060
watch a video on it. It's
pretty self explanatory and you'll

947
01:01:19,060 --> 01:01:21,820
be able to set it up no
problem. But just keep that in your

948
01:01:21,820 --> 01:01:24,940
mind folks, that honestly,
it's not super casual friendly to

949
01:01:24,940 --> 01:01:29,100
be completely transparent.
It's not like it's but it's definitely

950
01:01:29,100 --> 01:01:29,620
worth having.

951
01:01:30,180 --> 01:01:32,340
Are you saying that you're not
a casual?

952
01:01:32,420 --> 01:01:35,860
I did not say that because I
had to watch a video to learn how

953
01:01:35,860 --> 01:01:36,980
to install it. Sucker.

954
01:01:38,820 --> 01:01:42,220
If you if we're going off of
the amount of YouTube videos that

955
01:01:42,220 --> 01:01:48,430
we watch for World of
Warcraft. Not casual. Not casual.

956
01:01:48,430 --> 01:01:51,910
That might move us up one of
those. One of those numbers on that

957
01:01:51,910 --> 01:01:54,310
video we watched a long time
ago about what kind of wow player

958
01:01:54,310 --> 01:01:59,070
we are. Yeah, well, because we
do. Well you know what though, I

959
01:01:59,070 --> 01:02:03,950
will say this like we try. We
try and do our due diligence on research

960
01:02:03,950 --> 01:02:08,110
for you. This is probably not
the episode to say that comment since

961
01:02:09,550 --> 01:02:10,830
since we really.

962
01:02:10,830 --> 01:02:15,890
Do honestly like we really do.
I still had no idea it was in the

963
01:02:15,890 --> 01:02:18,330
game. I'm still going to die
on that hill. I had no idea it was

964
01:02:18,330 --> 01:02:22,210
there anyway. And then finally
this last add on and honestly it's

965
01:02:22,210 --> 01:02:24,490
not particularly a housing add
on, but it's one that you should

966
01:02:24,490 --> 01:02:27,290
definitely have. In general.
It's called buy them all. In other

967
01:02:27,290 --> 01:02:30,930
words, it's a great way that
you can buy decor in bulk. Are you

968
01:02:30,930 --> 01:02:33,930
sitting there at the vendor
and you're pushing single clicks

969
01:02:33,930 --> 01:02:37,290
to buy this decor? You don't
have to do that anymore. You just

970
01:02:37,290 --> 01:02:41,060
shift click and then it'll pop
up and you can tell how much you

971
01:02:41,060 --> 01:02:41,700
want it to buy.

972
01:02:41,700 --> 01:02:46,780
Are you sure this isn't just a
faster way for you to buy out all

973
01:02:46,780 --> 01:02:50,220
of the other items for sale on
the auction house so you can reset

974
01:02:50,220 --> 01:02:51,780
the market on that particular item?

975
01:02:51,940 --> 01:02:53,940
No, but you know, I'm kind of
getting to that point where I may

976
01:02:53,940 --> 01:02:54,900
start setting the market.

977
01:02:56,180 --> 01:03:00,020
Yeah, I considered doing that
the other night. I think I was, I

978
01:03:00,020 --> 01:03:03,660
think I was looking at Black
Lotus. Like, ooh, I should just buy

979
01:03:03,660 --> 01:03:09,400
all the Black Lotus and reset
the price on Black Lotus. But that

980
01:03:09,400 --> 01:03:13,240
would have wiped me out. It
would have wiped everybody in our

981
01:03:13,240 --> 01:03:19,800
guild out. When I asked them
for all their gold. Anyway. Yeah,

982
01:03:19,800 --> 01:03:22,240
maybe it's just our server
that Black Lotus is so hard to come.

983
01:03:22,400 --> 01:03:25,840
No, Moon Guard is incredibly
unique for a lot of reasons. It's

984
01:03:26,880 --> 01:03:31,690
the market, the world is alive
and you know, it's a course of role

985
01:03:31,690 --> 01:03:34,010
play. But you know, like,
maybe that is part of it. I don't

986
01:03:34,010 --> 01:03:35,450
know. I don't know, man.

987
01:03:35,450 --> 01:03:38,570
I don't know. I will say, you
know, with that whole Black Lotus

988
01:03:38,570 --> 01:03:42,570
debacle where I found
something that I wanted to make and

989
01:03:42,810 --> 01:03:48,810
try to work the market, I was
actually impressed. Like holy crap

990
01:03:48,890 --> 01:03:53,450
like this. You know, the game
is complicated enough to where you

991
01:03:53,450 --> 01:03:56,850
want to dive into the market
in certain aspects of things. And

992
01:03:56,850 --> 01:04:01,060
I think it's says a lot for
the economy too. How I personally

993
01:04:01,060 --> 01:04:05,580
feel like World of Warcraft's
economy is very stable. It's for

994
01:04:05,580 --> 01:04:10,340
how many years that, that the
game has been out, the economy has

995
01:04:10,340 --> 01:04:13,820
stayed relatively stable. And
it's probably because there are,

996
01:04:13,820 --> 01:04:18,100
there's money sinks in the
game and there's, there's things

997
01:04:18,100 --> 01:04:21,860
that are built into the game
that have allowed for, for that to

998
01:04:21,860 --> 01:04:27,430
happen. Right. And this is
probably a super boring topic, but

999
01:04:27,430 --> 01:04:32,070
we have talked about on
podcasts before, like games developing

1000
01:04:32,070 --> 01:04:35,190
development companies that
have hired full blown economists

1001
01:04:35,590 --> 01:04:40,270
to design their system. And I
don't know how Blizzard did it. I

1002
01:04:40,270 --> 01:04:43,190
don't know if they have an
economist that does this kind of

1003
01:04:43,190 --> 01:04:45,950
stuff because there's a
billion servers for them to have

1004
01:04:45,950 --> 01:04:50,030
to like look at. But I was
actually quite impressed where I'm

1005
01:04:50,030 --> 01:04:53,760
like, I want to do this thing.
And the economy said, nope, you're

1006
01:04:53,760 --> 01:04:58,320
not going to now it's like
basically like pick something else.

1007
01:04:58,320 --> 01:05:03,520
Yeah, okay, I'll find
something else to do. But you know,

1008
01:05:03,520 --> 01:05:07,639
in some weird way I was like
pleased that okay, I'm not going

1009
01:05:07,639 --> 01:05:10,280
to be able to do this one. It
was just, it's just neat and it,

1010
01:05:10,520 --> 01:05:14,440
and all of that revolves
around the rarity of the one item

1011
01:05:14,440 --> 01:05:15,160
that I needed.

1012
01:05:15,240 --> 01:05:15,640
Yeah.

1013
01:05:15,640 --> 01:05:16,940
And just cool. It was cool.

1014
01:05:17,410 --> 01:05:19,490
Yeah. Folks, it feels, if
you're listening, you talk about

1015
01:05:19,490 --> 01:05:22,370
economy, you want to see
economy wildly different, you know,

1016
01:05:22,370 --> 01:05:24,490
maybe like eating dinner. Just
want to watch a video real quick

1017
01:05:24,490 --> 01:05:28,610
that you know, you can just
scroll away from. Search Swotor Economy.

1018
01:05:29,090 --> 01:05:31,090
Watch a video. Prepare yourself.

1019
01:05:31,090 --> 01:05:31,810
You're going there.

1020
01:05:31,810 --> 01:05:35,730
Prepare yourself because after
you watch that you'll walk away and

1021
01:05:35,730 --> 01:05:37,170
say, yep, Warcraft's in a good spot.

1022
01:05:38,210 --> 01:05:42,850
Oh yeah. Swotor's economy is baroque.

1023
01:05:43,220 --> 01:05:43,780
It's awful.

1024
01:05:44,420 --> 01:05:45,220
So bad.

1025
01:05:45,220 --> 01:05:46,500
Oh my gosh, it's awful.

1026
01:05:46,580 --> 01:05:50,740
You want to talk about the
amount of credits that you need to

1027
01:05:50,740 --> 01:05:55,300
buy minimal stuff. Like I
could. I would love to take Black

1028
01:05:55,300 --> 01:06:00,020
Lotus and put it onto Star
wars, the Old Republic's economy

1029
01:06:00,180 --> 01:06:05,620
and see what the, what the.
The translation is from gold to credits.

1030
01:06:05,620 --> 01:06:08,380
Oh, you'd be a
multimillionaire in seconds. Anyway,

1031
01:06:08,380 --> 01:06:13,070
folks, so check out these add
ons. There's so many more. And yeah,

1032
01:06:13,070 --> 01:06:16,510
now comes the fun part. So we
teased earlier in the episode where

1033
01:06:17,150 --> 01:06:22,510
our first live show. And you
want to take the. Take it away, Junior.

1034
01:06:23,950 --> 01:06:26,190
Okay, sure, dad.

1035
01:06:28,110 --> 01:06:30,990
We'll go throw the ball after
the. After the episode, son.

1036
01:06:31,150 --> 01:06:32,110
Oh, cool.

1037
01:06:34,190 --> 01:06:35,910
Well, I did say I was five, so.

1038
01:06:35,910 --> 01:06:37,400
Yeah, you are five friends.

1039
01:06:37,560 --> 01:06:40,960
We are. We've been touting
this for a while. I've been talking

1040
01:06:40,960 --> 01:06:45,520
about it on my portion of the
outro for a long time. And this just

1041
01:06:45,520 --> 01:06:50,720
happens to be a great
opportunity for us because upon our

1042
01:06:50,720 --> 01:06:58,120
recording next week, it is the
week of Christmas. And as. So as

1043
01:06:58,120 --> 01:07:02,120
of the release date of this
episode, when this episode comes

1044
01:07:02,120 --> 01:07:08,050
out, you'll be able to consume
this episode on December 23rd. And

1045
01:07:08,050 --> 01:07:11,570
then that evening. Doesn't
matter if you have family in town.

1046
01:07:11,810 --> 01:07:17,890
Doesn't matter if you have
family plans. Invite them all because

1047
01:07:17,890 --> 01:07:25,170
our first live show is going
to be December 23rd at 7pm EST live

1048
01:07:25,170 --> 01:07:30,950
on Twitch. Twitch TV
Azerothmorning radio. And I think

1049
01:07:30,950 --> 01:07:33,510
we're very excited about this one.

1050
01:07:33,590 --> 01:07:36,390
We are. This is the first live
show which is always, you know, just

1051
01:07:36,390 --> 01:07:40,550
a special time. Did you tell
them the name? The premise of the

1052
01:07:40,550 --> 01:07:46,710
name? No. Okay, you wanna.
Okay. Amr. The amr. The Late Watch.

1053
01:07:46,870 --> 01:07:50,990
So in other words, it's a late
night show and kind of like what

1054
01:07:50,990 --> 01:07:55,720
you'd see on tv. And it's
gonna be pretty interesting because

1055
01:07:55,720 --> 01:07:57,680
we're going to be detailing what.

1056
01:08:00,160 --> 01:08:03,680
It'S a late show. Does that
mean I can say the F word?

1057
01:08:04,400 --> 01:08:07,320
Well, let the Titans lead you.
But anyway.

1058
01:08:07,320 --> 01:08:08,000
Damn it.

1059
01:08:09,999 --> 01:08:14,120
Anyway, so we are going to be
detailing everything that you can

1060
01:08:14,120 --> 01:08:18,240
expect from us in 2026. At
least the things we can talk about.

1061
01:08:18,640 --> 01:08:22,840
So come be a part of it. We're
going to do a massive Q and A. So

1062
01:08:22,840 --> 01:08:25,520
if you're there, you can
submit a question to us and we'll

1063
01:08:25,520 --> 01:08:29,080
answer it live on the show.
And it will be live and uncut. So

1064
01:08:29,080 --> 01:08:31,840
what you hear, you know,
experience there, that's the episode

1065
01:08:31,840 --> 01:08:34,760
the following week. You know,
being that's the new year, we thought

1066
01:08:34,760 --> 01:08:36,560
we'd do something just a
little bit different, kind of give

1067
01:08:36,560 --> 01:08:39,360
us a little bit more room to
celebrate, spend time with our families,

1068
01:08:39,360 --> 01:08:42,840
but also still provide content
for you guys and in such a way that

1069
01:08:42,840 --> 01:08:46,400
you can get involved. So, like
Cash said, literally, as you're listening,

1070
01:08:46,400 --> 01:08:52,370
this episode tonight at 7:00pm
EST at Twitch TV. Azeroth MorningRadio

1071
01:08:52,370 --> 01:08:53,290
yeah, we thought it was.

1072
01:08:53,290 --> 01:08:56,010
It was definitely important to
let you know that if you are there

1073
01:08:56,010 --> 01:09:00,450
for the live show, this is a
live recording for the next week's

1074
01:09:00,530 --> 01:09:05,210
show. So just so you know, if
you hear it the next Tuesday as a

1075
01:09:05,210 --> 01:09:10,010
release, then we don't want to
bum you out, but you could roll down

1076
01:09:10,010 --> 01:09:11,890
your window when you're on
your way to work and just be like,

1077
01:09:11,890 --> 01:09:17,060
I was there. I was there for
this one. And then people look at

1078
01:09:17,060 --> 01:09:20,020
you weird and they'll use a
middle finger. You give them the

1079
01:09:20,020 --> 01:09:22,020
thumbs down, and then
everybody's confused.

1080
01:09:22,020 --> 01:09:22,580
That's right.

1081
01:09:22,580 --> 01:09:25,180
So that's right. That's how
we're gonna roll with that. So the

1082
01:09:25,180 --> 01:09:28,619
show format's not going to be
our regular show format. This, again,

1083
01:09:28,619 --> 01:09:32,860
is like a live, uncut show.
And the reason that we're doing this,

1084
01:09:32,860 --> 01:09:34,980
we're going to do more of
these in the future. But the reason

1085
01:09:34,980 --> 01:09:38,060
that we're giving this a test
run is because it's Christmas week.

1086
01:09:38,220 --> 01:09:41,069
So we have a. Got a bunch of
stuff going on. You're going to have

1087
01:09:41,069 --> 01:09:44,389
a bunch of stuff going on, you
know, with family and celebrations

1088
01:09:44,389 --> 01:09:49,429
and. And all that stuff. So
instead of taking a week off, we're

1089
01:09:49,429 --> 01:09:55,469
opting to dig into a live show
and make it probably even more difficult,

1090
01:09:55,469 --> 01:09:59,189
honestly, more stressful for
us during Christmas week. But these

1091
01:09:59,189 --> 01:10:01,949
are fun. So we're going to.
We're going to have a good time as

1092
01:10:01,949 --> 01:10:04,909
long as people show up. Yeah,
we'll bring cookies.

1093
01:10:06,040 --> 01:10:10,040
Bring cookies. Fel cookies.
Yeah, Fel cookies and mage cookies.

1094
01:10:11,640 --> 01:10:15,880
Long before the opening of the
dark portal, before the first war,

1095
01:10:16,360 --> 01:10:21,160
before anyone thought putting
spikes on armor was a lifestyle choice,

1096
01:10:21,880 --> 01:10:30,000
there was a warm and hearty
drink. They say it was first brewed

1097
01:10:30,000 --> 01:10:34,280
on a frozen, frozen winter
veil night in Ironforge, when a dwarven

1098
01:10:34,280 --> 01:10:40,160
brewmaster, a kirin tor mage,
and one gnome with too much confidence.

1099
01:10:40,800 --> 01:10:46,200
Interesting. Gathered around a
hearth, into a large pot went one

1100
01:10:46,200 --> 01:10:52,120
full 750 milliliter bottle of
dry red wine, enough to serve four

1101
01:10:52,120 --> 01:10:55,880
to six adventures, depending
on how hard the dungeon went. I need

1102
01:10:55,880 --> 01:11:01,690
more. Add two cinnamon sticks,
four whole cloves, two star anise,

1103
01:11:02,330 --> 01:11:07,610
and one teaspoon of allspice
berries, lightly crushed. As tradition

1104
01:11:07,610 --> 01:11:12,449
demands, peel one orange, add
the peel to the pot, then squeeze

1105
01:11:12,449 --> 01:11:17,370
in half a cup of fresh orange
juice. For brightness, stir in 2

1106
01:11:17,370 --> 01:11:21,410
to 3 tablespoons of honey or
brown sugar, adjusting sweetness

1107
01:11:21,410 --> 01:11:25,270
to taste. Finish with a
quarter teaspoon of freshly grated

1108
01:11:25,270 --> 01:11:31,190
nutmeg. Because someone always
insists, heat the mixture gently

1109
01:11:31,190 --> 01:11:35,910
over low heat. Never boil
because boiling is how you summon

1110
01:11:35,910 --> 01:11:36,404
problems. Couldn't resist,
could you? Let it simmer for 15 to

1111
01:11:36,404 --> 01:11:36,426
20 minutes, stirring clockwise
to keep the foul energy out. They

1112
01:11:36,426 --> 01:11:36,448
called it Winter Veil Mulled
Wine, and legend claims it warmed

1113
01:11:36,448 --> 01:11:36,468
heroes before raids, treaties,
and at least one extremely doomed

1114
01:11:36,468 --> 01:11:36,472
dungeon pug. Now,to be clear,
none of that story is accurate, canon,

1115
01:11:09,984 --> 01:11:34,734
or even remotely Warcraft
lore. Daddy, chill. What the hell

1116
01:11:34,734 --> 01:11:36,082
is even that? But the recipe,
completely tried and true, from our

1117
01:11:36,082 --> 01:11:36,235
hearts to yours, Merry
Christmas and Happy Wintervale from

1118
01:11:36,235 --> 01:11:36,388
Azeroth Morning Radio, where
the legends are questionable and

1119
01:11:36,388 --> 01:11:36,490
the mulled spiced wine is excellent.

1120

01:13:48,500 --> 01:13:54,540
access. But you can start now
by emailing us@azerothmorningradiomail.com

1141
01:13:54,700 --> 01:13:58,990
you can hit us up on Facebook
at Azeroth Morning Radio. Our shows

1142
01:13:58,990 --> 01:14:04,190
are in video format on YouTube
at Azeroth Morning Radio. And very

1143
01:14:04,190 --> 01:14:09,470
soon, very soon, as in
tonight, you'll be able to catch

1144
01:14:09,470 --> 01:14:14,790
us at Twitch tv, Azeroth
Morning Radio. And this will always

1145
01:14:14,870 --> 01:14:19,830
prompt. This will always
prompt the inevitable comment from

1146
01:14:19,830 --> 01:14:27,200
people. I didn't know you look
like that. No idea. We have no idea

1147
01:14:27,200 --> 01:14:31,200
how to take it. Like, is it
bad? Is it bad? Did I break it?

1148
01:14:31,280 --> 01:14:34,880
I love your response to that.
Every time you're like, well, what

1149
01:14:34,880 --> 01:14:37,400
you think I was supposed to
look like? You know, it's like me

1150
01:14:37,400 --> 01:14:38,400
get so offended.

1151
01:14:39,440 --> 01:14:42,480
We've already told you that
we're bald.

1152
01:14:44,000 --> 01:14:44,960
Oh, gosh.

1153
01:14:45,200 --> 01:14:51,350
If you didn't know that and
you have baldrophobia, consider yourself

1154
01:14:51,750 --> 01:14:56,350
trigger warned. There's a lot
of freaking shine when we're on camera.

1155
01:14:56,350 --> 01:14:59,350
It's true. He's a car buffer.
Shines extra. Anyway, folks, have

1156
01:14:59,350 --> 01:15:02,070
a great week in gaming. We
love you and we will see you tonight,

1157
01:15:02,550 --> 01:15:06,430
hopefully at AMR the Late
Watch. Otherwise, we'll see you next

1158
01:15:06,430 --> 01:15:10,150
week right here on Azeroth's
Morning Radio. Take care, everybody.

1159
01:15:10,310 --> 01:15:11,430
Merry Christmas, everyone.
