Jibbs

00:00:52.860 - 00:00:59.820

And good Tuesday morning everybody. Welcome. This is Azeroth Morning Radio.

Kash

00:01:00.540 - 00:01:01.700

Greetings friend.

Jibbs

00:01:01.700 - 00:01:20.710

Thank you Malfurion. We appreciate you welcome everybody. This is episode number two. So stoked to have you all here. We are back.

It's good to be back in the air on the airwaves and we are your hosts. My name is Jibs and I'm joined by voted 5 time best door greeter at the Darkmoon Faire outhouses. His name is Cash.

Kash

00:01:21.270 - 00:01:27.990

Seriously, we're gonna continue doing this and I'm just, I'm gonna be your punching bag. Apparently on this show.

Jibbs

00:01:28.550 - 00:01:32.240

I didn't know they had door barriers, but apparently they do at the outhouse, which is fine.

Kash

00:01:32.240 - 00:01:37.960

Well, first of all, I love the Dark Moon Fair. And second of all, I have a vested interest in everybody's bow habits.

Jibbs

00:01:37.960 - 00:01:40.080

Oh well that's so. That's perfect.

Kash

00:01:40.080 - 00:01:42.640

Everybody, everybody needs a poop coach, bro.

Jibbs

00:01:45.200 - 00:01:47.040

Can you imagine how that's going to go?

Kash

00:01:49.440 - 00:01:50.480

Knocking on the door?

Jibbs

00:01:51.600 - 00:01:52.720

You can do it.

Kash

00:01:54.240 - 00:02:08.220

You got some massive T who's been walking around the fair eating fair food all day long and he's just trying to look a quiet corner to poop. And I'm outside going, you can do it.

Jibbs

00:02:12.140 - 00:02:17.100

Oh, that's so good. Oh my gosh. And of course the boys are here.

Griffty (Goblin)

00:02:17.100 - 00:02:19.340

Heyyeah, look, it's the Chrome dome twins.

Swiffty (Goblin)

00:02:19.740 - 00:02:21.580

Oh, hey there ladies.

Jibbs

00:02:22.380 - 00:03:00.840

Oh, good to see you too. I think before we go forward, we need to say a huge thank you to the response that we got on our very first episode.

You guys tuned in from literally all over the world.

Just kind of see how it developed, like what you guys are listening on, like what app, podcast, apps you're choosing, whether even maybe YouTube. But dude, we had such a warm welcome from so many folks. Other shows reached out.

We got a lot of, we saw a lot of dms, a lot of people that were just happy to see us back on the airwaves, period from other IPs. And dude, that was amazing.

Kash

00:03:01.680 - 00:03:32.540

Yeah, it was.

It was a very humbling response to, to our first show and I do want to say this, it is very intimidating coming into a brand new space, let alone that space being the king of the world's MMOs and to be able to experience the love that, that we were shown, you know, both from know, our own little community to Guildies, which we're going to talk about here coming up soon.

Jibbs

00:03:32.540 - 00:03:34.140

Yeah, we got the green light and.

Kash

00:03:34.220 - 00:03:47.100

And just, you know, other other podcasters and Twitter and, you know, all the things was very, very heartwarming and it really did show exactly what we're going for.

Jibbs

00:03:47.180 - 00:03:47.620

Yeah.

Kash

00:03:47.620 - 00:03:52.780

That this community is one of the best communities in gaming, period.

Jibbs

00:03:52.860 - 00:04:19.140

Yep. 100%. 100%.

It was just so nice to, just to hear from so many people and people that like, we had a lot of people from Ashes of Creation reach out to us when we were creating over there and they were just. Gosh, it just felt. You just felt the love.

And so to everyone who tuned in, to everyone who reached out, thank you so much for the warm welcome to this space and yeah, looking forward to many, many more, my friend.

Kash

00:04:19.410 - 00:04:52.710

Yeah, and it's been. This has been a really good treat for, for both Jibs and I to get back behind the mics.

It is something that we really enjoy doing and, you know, even we talk about it all the time to where just a lot of our just normal conversations that we have, you know, despite the fact there's a lot more cuss words and stuff, because this is a friendly show for the most part. The banter that, that Jibs and I can have on the airwaves is much like just, you know, two dudes talking the way we normally would.

Jibbs

00:04:52.790 - 00:04:53.270

Yeah.

Kash

00:04:53.350 - 00:05:19.660

And then when we're able to hit play, it just, it, it brings more to the conversation when we can really focus down on World of Warcraft and bring you as much of that experience. Just like we're, you know, like we're talking in a bar over a couple of brews as we can, and it's a lot of fun for us.

So getting back behind the mics, I think has been, it's been a huge boon to my, to my life, honestly. Oh yeah, It's a lot of fun.

Jibbs

00:05:19.660 - 00:05:52.110

Absolutely. Absolutely. And so welcome back, everybody. Thank you again so much for pushing play.

This is the show for all of you wonderful folks in the, in the wonderful community, but this is Warcraft for the rest of us.

So the casuals, the nine to fivers, those of you who got a sink full of dishes and you've got 30 minutes to play, but you still love Azeroth, well, that's what this show is for. Two, it's for. And quite frankly, we're just excited to be here with you all this week on the show. We have a jam packed week.

But before we get into that, what was Warcraft like for you this week, dude? What'd you do?

Kash

00:05:52.270 - 00:09:05.000

It was, it was plentiful. I had my work cycle started this week so I was, I was waylaid a little bit by work. Had a busy cycle but it was still filled with Warcraft.

And if I'm, if I'm to hit the highlights. We started up a mythic group this week.

You and I were a little bit behind and some of the folks that we started up with were much further along than we were.

But we're still very happy to push lowkeys with us and also grab us at any time they needed it and drop us into hierarchies which proved to be actually very fun and very eye opening. You know, as I myself and I know you're kind of in the same boat, but we're still kind of learning a lot of the, a lot of the dungeons.

But in just the week I was able to get my, my 2K rating and I think the highest key that, that I did this week was a 10 and it was an eye opener but fun, super fun. So really I'm really enjoying the mythics. It's making me learn my class. It's allowing me to learn my class very, very well.

As you know, I play resto druid and yeah I guess for the second bullet points, any downtime that I had this week where I wasn't running group content, I was as I know you are, I was pushing BFA content that I hadn't finished for housing stuff.

And then yesterday, just as a quick mention yesterday you'll probably get into it, but we actually, we chat GPT A basically a plan for us for preparing for housing because as you know, housing is attached to achievements that you've done in the past which I'm sure we both spread across, I don't know, probably dozens of characters that we've had over the years. At some point we're going to tangent on the story of the amount of alts we have, which is the reason why I stick to one character now, man.

Yeah, but yeah, I said it last week that and actually I got called out on it by Stark who's one of our good friends and he goes dude, you're so full of crap. You have more alts than anybody I know. And I was like yeah, you're kind of right.

But that, that's the reason why now I really, really try to stick to one character anyway, without segueing too much into a whole other topic. We have been looking for ways to prepare for housing.

And so we're achievement hunting and we chat GPT, a really good plan for hitting every dungeon in the game, every raid in the game, just for those achievements. And the funny part was last night we were running dead mines. Yeah. And we discovered some new stuff and we were like, wait a minute.

It's like we were getting achievements. I'm like, how long has it been since I've run deadmines?

But there were some different things in there that we were like hitting achievements for is like a whole, whole new storyline. At the end with Van Cleef, I was like, what? It's freaking been forever since I've run this dungeon.

Jibbs

00:09:05.000 - 00:09:47.180

Yeah, I bet. I ran that dungeon a year ago. And what it's in there now.

I don't want to spoil for anybody who hasn't maybe haven't ran it yet, but there is, there's things I had never seen before. And I'm like, what is this? When did they have this? You know, like, it was just a whole, like, different experience. And maybe it was.

I don't, I don't, I don't. I honestly, I thought maybe it was like level related or maybe like difficulty related, I don't know. But like, it was totally different.

And just going back in those old dungeons, I'll be the first to tell you, like, I love Trial of Style. I love it.

Whenever in Moon Guard, you best bring your A game because the role players, when they show up at Trial of Style, it is like you are, you are going against the creme de la creme of Transmoggers.

Kash

00:09:47.260 - 00:09:49.420

It's real. The Transmog is real on.

Jibbs

00:09:49.820 - 00:10:10.310

It is so real. And it's like, it's like the living and breathing version of the, the Transmog Reddit.

Like the people on the Reddit for Transmog are in like a whole nother caliber of player that it's like you think you're good and then you get on there and you just feel. So by the end of it, you're rocking in a corner. I'm okay. I do okay. I do okay.

Kash

00:10:11.670 - 00:10:13.750

The crying Game playing in the background.

Jibbs

00:10:14.150 - 00:10:44.230

Yeah, exactly.

And so anyway, it's great to do these old dungeons and get these achievements because yes, you're getting the achievements for housing things, but also all the old transmog that you don't realize you don't have. I remember this one guy who, gosh, this has been Years ago now. But he, he had a goal to collect every piece of plate armor. I think it was plate.

It was either plate or mail. Maybe mail. It was over 10,000 pieces and he got them all. And I'm just like, yep, that's life goals.

Kash

00:10:45.670 - 00:10:53.070

Yeah, that's worse than Loremaster with 3300. Quite the 3300 quests. I did the get that title years ago.

Jibbs

00:10:53.070 - 00:11:10.270

Yeah. Gosh, dude, I'm so nervous.

Not nervous, but just like I. I look at that task ahead because, you know, it's so many more expansions now and the quests, you know, so many more quests even than then what you had. I bet is. I Bet it's close to 4000. 4000 ish at this point, at least.

Kash

00:11:10.270 - 00:11:19.190

Yeah. If not more. But I mean, honestly, dude, what do you. What else do you. We have to do?

I mean, there's plenty to do in the game, don't get me wrong, but it's like we have nothing but time.

Jibbs

00:11:19.190 - 00:11:49.320

Oh yeah, yeah, that's true. That's the best part about the game. You log in and just like it's so vast now.

Over well over 20 years, you know, we're celebrating 20, the 21st anniversary in a couple months. You know, it's just, it's a beautiful place to be because it's so massive. It's like, hey, you want to go collect pets? Go do that thing.

You want to go collect. You don't have a random. Like, I started collecting books. I have, I opened a slot in my bank.

I've named the tab and it's just like books, fun, collectibles, whatever. And all the manuscripts, all the books that I collect, I put them in there.

Kash

00:11:49.320 - 00:11:55.040

Oh, that's such a good idea. That's like something that I. That I did in Elder Scrolls games.

Jibbs

00:11:55.280 - 00:11:55.960

Yeah, me too.

Kash

00:11:55.960 - 00:11:57.600

I love to collect books.

Jibbs

00:11:57.600 - 00:11:58.080

Yeah.

Kash

00:11:58.160 - 00:12:17.560

Particularly because you can open them and read them and it's really cool to see the ones in this game that you can open and read and actually brings up a really interesting point that we should probably talk about when we do. When we talk about the Q and A that just happened in regards to housing and the way we might in the future be able to store our books.

Commercial (Movie Trailer - Time Isn't Money)

00:12:17.560 - 00:13:40.140

Hope so, because that was awesome. That was awesome. But anyway, so this week on the show we have the heroes call boards returning. We have a deep dive and Q and A on midnight.

And of course Snark makes its return. Folks. It's a massive, massive episode. Hope you like a longer episode than last week because you're getting it.

And it starts right after this commercial break. We'll be right back. In a city built on gold, greed, and bad business deals, one goblin refuses to pay the price. Grizzle. Gear Grind.

Maybe you've heard of me. Demolitions. Negotiations. Extractions. I'm a freelancer. This summer, he's taking on his biggest enemy yet. I own every second of your life. Gear Grind.

Yeah, well, guess what. Time isn't money, friend. Time isn't money. Coming soon to a theater near Ogremmar. Tickets on sale for way too much gold.

Jibbs

00:13:40.220 - 00:13:52.620

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back. And so we decided to make this official. We came out with a bumper this week on this one for the Hero's call. So let's go ahead and get that started.

Heroes Call Bumper

00:13:54.780 - 00:13:58.460

Hero's Call! (Heroes Call Bumper Plays)

Kash

00:13:58.460 - 00:14:01.540

Just about as cheesy as it gets. And that's the way we like it.

Jibbs

00:14:01.540 - 00:14:08.200

In my head, I just picture you just like yelling that in someone's face, like military style, and just full on slapping them in the face.

Kash

00:14:08.440 - 00:14:11.640

It's a Stormwind Guard. It's. What are you talking. It's not me.

Jibbs

00:14:11.960 - 00:14:12.840

Oh, I'm sorry.

Kash

00:14:13.160 - 00:14:13.720

Duh.

Jibbs

00:14:13.880 - 00:14:59.930

Immersion. Immersion breaking. So anyway, Heroes call.

So for those of you who don't know, here at amr, we love to highlight wholesome things in the community, things that people are doing, maybe initiatives that are, you know, and if there's something going on that maybe we haven't seen, please email it to us over at our website on the contact page. Or you can just email us@azerothmorningradiomail.com but send stuff to us because we want to highlight it here.

And I don't know, maybe they were nervous, like, hey, we don't know if these guys are going to be awful, so let's just wait and decide on what we're going to do before we give them a green light to promote our guild. Okay, sounds good. All right. So we don't know if that's how it went down, Cash, but we've been given the green light to promote the guild. So we're.

We're stoked.

Kash

00:15:00.890 - 00:15:36.990

I'm actually very happy with. And we don't know, like, the backstory of.

Of how it happened, but you know, we were talking about like, hey, we'd really like to promote the guild that we're in because it's. It's a. It's a really fun guild with really good people who have been together for. For quite a long time. And so we had.

We had mentioned before, we did episode one that, hey, we'd really like to shout out the guild. And I was very impressed with the leadership in our guild. They're like, well, you know, let us discuss it a little bit.

And maybe it was because they wanted to hear the first show first, make sure that we.

Jibbs

00:15:36.990 - 00:15:38.350

I don't blame them at all.

Kash

00:15:38.590 - 00:16:55.570

We weren't just off our rockers, but we got, we got a really, really good response after, after they listened to our first show and just, just very, very heartwarming comments about our first show. So, so we were first of all very. A very heartfelt thank you for. Yes, for doing that. And then we got the green light to shout out our guild.

And I think we're very proudly going to shout out our guild. Our guild is called Pulling Aggro irl and this guild was formerly known as AES Sedai.

It's a community that's been together, just a community of people that have been together since 2017. And jibs and I did a lot of looking around before we decided to pick a guild. Picking a guild is it.

If you're planning to be involved and you're planning to, you know, to show up to some of the event. They have some pretty amazing events and stuff in this guild that they're doing weekly. They have some really good groups that are running.

They're raiding together, they're running Mythics together. There's. They do movie nights, they do trivia, which you won, actually did. Jibs won one of the.

Jibbs

00:16:55.570 - 00:16:58.130

I did. I got 50k off that thing. It was awesome.

Kash

00:16:58.290 - 00:17:02.290

Faster fingers at Chat GPT while it's going on, I'm sure.

Jibbs

00:17:02.290 - 00:17:04.370

No, maybe a little.

Kash

00:17:04.370 - 00:19:00.390

But anyway, you know, we really just wanted to find like a family friendly guild that was kind of built on good vibes and low pressure and life comes first. That's what our show's about. And that is the, the culture that we like to experience in our gaming.

And this guild like was right down that alley for us.

It's basically made for adults, professionals and you know, people who have kids screaming in the background and hey, afk, I got to put my kid to bed. No problem. And for the most part, I mean, I think the guild was, was built and founded around achievement hunting.

And there's still a lot of that going on. And don't, don't get me wrong, we've seen folks in Pulling Agro IRL that are. It's the full gamut. I mean, you have people that are.

That are logging in for half an hour, saying hi, doing their thing, and they're gone. And then you.

There's definitely some neck beaters in there as well that are put, you know, they're pushing high keys and trying to do all the higher level stuff.

I know there's spreadsheets out there, but for the most part it's just a really, really good casual community where there's no expectation if you screw something up. Trust me, I've screwed up plenty of Mythics over the last week. And they're like, no, it's not you. We're fine.

And I'm like, but my healing, I missed heal. He didn't have hots on when he died. Like all those little things that just freak me out as a healer. Yeah, they don't care. No, it's.

It's been a really, really good experience. Just great attitudes and friendly people and really, really welcoming. So, yeah, I do want to shout out.

The guild is run by Mirana and Ness and the guild's cross faction.

So if you're looking for a really fun guild where there's some mutual respect for adults and working professionals and parents and pulling aggro, IRL is a fantastic place to play this game.

Jibbs

00:19:00.550 - 00:19:41.150

Yeah, they're great people. And so like, Mythics are a stretch for me. Like, that's not normal for me. Like, it's just not my norm.

I have folks like, they're a great place to be because if you're curious about trying content, they will slurp you up in a heartbeat. And it does not matter like your, your, your level.

You know, like if, if you're getting a rating, then it's kind of, that's a kind of a little bit of difference. Different story because that's not a carry group. They're, you know, looking for solid DPS and all that stuff.

But like with Mythics, like I, I'm the one who takes the majority of dirt naps whenever we're doing Mythics. All the deaths, pretty much. You could track them back to my character, my paladin. Hey. Yeah, that means he sucks

Griffty (Goblin)

00:19:41.750 - 00:19:42.950

Hey. Yeah, that means he sucks.

Jibbs

00:19:43.430 - 00:19:56.350

It's a great place to be. It's a fun place to be.

Especially if again, like, like in the guild name, you know, if you've got a lot of aggro in real life, it's a great place just to kind of chill out and just kind of, you know, park and set up shop.

Kash

00:19:56.350 - 00:20:29.040

Yeah. And a ton of game knowledge too with the folks there. Long history of playing World of Warcraft, which is. Has made it really, really nice.

Like I'm I'm learning. I'm still learning a bunch right when we. When we run stuff. And I've done. I think I've done three raid nights with them, just.

Just filling in for the normal group. And the. The leadership in raids is just super chill and the vibe is. Is very, very good. So pulling aggro. Irl, come and join us.

Jibbs

00:20:29.040 - 00:20:42.330

It's true.

And just to add on to that, I fully wiped the entire raid because I accidentally walked through a portal that I thought everyone was walking through and nobody was, but turns out it was just me and they were super chill. So, like, if I could do that.

Kash

00:20:43.130 - 00:20:47.290

I remember that was dimensions, you know. You know, embarrassing thing.

Jibbs

00:20:47.530 - 00:20:58.090

I have ever. I felt so embarrassed. I felt like this tall. I feel like a gnome's height. Less. Less tall than a gnome. That's how I felt after that.

And they were just, you know, they laughed and they laughed it off. It was not a big deal. So.

Kash

00:20:58.330 - 00:23:49.280

Okay. And as part of the heroes call board, as we segue on from.

From our guild, I have been trying to become a student of the game with my Resto Druid, especially with, you know, healing some. Some mid keys. I'm really trying to get as good as I can with it. So I'm doing a lot of research.

And through my research, I have found a gentleman on YouTube that his videos are so easy to understand. And they are. They're very, very well thought out and well taught. And so I want to shout them out this. This person's channel.

This is Ragnon Gaming and he has a series on Mythic plus healing videos especially for Resto Druids. He plays Resto Druid. So if you play Resto Druid and you want to get better, it's.

This series is very, very good for basically going from the basics to. To more advanced healing. And the theory behind Resto Druid healing has been really, really, really good.

And Ragnon does talk about the fact that he's an educator in real life and he enjoys making these tutorials to help develop players. And I think in all aspects of my own healing, I'm seeing massive improvements just because of watching his videos.

So another one of the big things that I really enjoy that he does, you know, as.

As you kind of learn, if you're a healer, dps, whatever, and you're learning how to play your class, once you kind of get the basics and the theory behind how your class works, seek out videos where there's live commentary during gameplay. And Ragnon does this really, really well with the Resto Druid where he can narrate while he's healing a mythic plus dungeon.

And it's, it's very number one. It's very impressive and very difficult to shout cast what you're doing. Like that takes some skill.

But at the same time, once you understand, once you have like a baseline understanding of what the theory is behind your, your particular class, whether it's DPS or healing or tanking or whatever, following those videos is really, really, really supplements your understanding because now you're seeing the Theory live. So I would definitely recommend doing that. Ragnon does it very, very well for Resto Druid.

So we wanted to shout him out as, you know, part of our Heroes call board because, you know, we love what the community is doing, that includes content creators. So find him on YouTube. He's@YouTube.com Ragnon Gaming. He's on Twitch, Twitch TV. Ragnon Gaming.

And finally, just a huge thank you to Ragnon because you have helped my healing tremendously.

Jibbs

00:23:49.280 - 00:23:51.360

Yeah, it's a really, really good channel.

Kash

00:23:51.360 - 00:25:25.030

It is great channel and, and I'm, you know, just huge thanks to him. One more mention that we want to do on the Heroes board is, is the Warband podcast. Oh yeah, the Warband happens to be the is.

It's kind of my go to show when I. I'm not going to say kind of. It is my go to show when, when I'm listening to podcasts throughout the week.

I just, I feel like, I feel like the guys there, Chicken and Swaglock, I feel like I have just like a connection with the way that they play the game and their opinions and so it's really become my go to show. And coincidentally, Swaglock put a really nice comment about our first show on a Twitter post that we had out about our Week One show.

And so I just, I want to throw them a mention. Warband Podcast is excellent. They've been around. I think they're on 50, 60 episodes now.

Solid show, solid understanding of the game and you know, guys who are just like us, they got families and jobs and all those things.

Just like a lot of the players in the Warcraft community nowadays has, they've been playing the game for quite a while and have a really good understanding of some of the deeper mechanics in the game, which is one of the big reasons that I listen to. And I just want to say thanks like you guys. That was super cool for you guys to reach out and do that for us.

It meant a lot to us coming into a big, massive, intimidating space. Yeah, so thank you, guys.

Jibbs

00:25:25.030 - 00:25:39.300

Yeah, absolutely. And just to kind of add to that, it does. It meant a. Gosh, it meant a lot.

It means a lot when folks take time out of their day just to reach out and say thank you, especially from other creators who are in the space who are already so busy. So thank you again, guys, so, so much. That was awesome.

Goblin News Network Bumper

00:25:41.940 - 00:25:47.620

Breaking news brought to all of you by the Goblin News Network.

Jibbs

00:25:49.860 - 00:26:55.870

So when we told you we have a long episode. Well, most of it is this. This is a. Wow. So the deep dive and Q and A on midnight, this happened this past week, and it was amazing. Just amazing.

But before we get started, I want to mention something we're going to cover next week. So we had a blue post come out from World of Warcraft, and it's actually an article over at their website. And on that article, it's all about combat.

And they're changing things up for midnight. They're making things simpler, a lot more accessible. Looks like they're going to be getting rid of a lot of the bloat.

So what we're going to be doing next episode, on episode three, we're going to be doing kind of a. We're going to park on that. On that topic for quite some time next. Next episode. And so we want to pull in all of your thoughts. So email us.

You can go to our website, or you can always just email us azerothmorningradiomail.com Send us your thoughts on the combat section, and we might put your name and your thoughts in the show so you can check that out.

Kash

00:26:55.870 - 00:26:58.430

Does that mean less leaves for my druid?

Jibbs

00:26:58.430 - 00:27:00.060

Probably more leaves. Pretty leaves.

Kash

00:27:00.540 - 00:27:01.660

Good. More leaves.

Jibbs

00:27:01.660 - 00:27:02.420

Pretty, pretty leaves.

Kash

00:27:02.420 - 00:27:05.100

That's what we want. More leaves and pretty blossoms.

Jibbs

00:27:05.180 - 00:27:16.180

Hey, speaking of. Speaking of leaves, make sure you guys, if you have the mount, it's the mount that changes with the season, the giant tree. Well, he's now.

He's now got fall colors on. So if you. If you have that mount, rock that mount.

Kash

00:27:16.180 - 00:27:19.900

You changed because it's the best time of the year.

Jibbs

00:27:20.380 - 00:27:22.340

That's right, baby. Halloween's coming.

Kash

00:27:22.340 - 00:27:24.580

That's right. You have your Halloween Transmog on?

Jibbs

00:27:24.580 - 00:27:25.980

I do. I wear it to bed.

Kash

00:27:25.980 - 00:27:28.780

So do I. Perfect sleeves. I have leaves.

Jibbs

00:27:28.780 - 00:27:30.020

Oh, just leaves. Oh, perfect.

Kash

00:27:30.020 - 00:27:39.900

I have a scary. I have a scary face with a cool witch hunter's hat. Or is it witch hunter? It's. It's whatever. The Transmog.

Jibbs

00:27:39.900 - 00:27:40.660

Well, the harvest.

Kash

00:27:40.660 - 00:27:44.940

The harvest Transmog that was in the. On the Trading Post this week.

Jibbs

00:27:44.940 - 00:27:48.580

Yeah, yeah, man, that traded Goodness.

Kash

00:27:48.660 - 00:27:50.540

Yeah, I took pieces of that.

Jibbs

00:27:50.540 - 00:27:51.060

Did you?

Kash

00:27:51.220 - 00:27:55.540

And I made a Halloween Transmog. And it's. It's epic.

Jibbs

00:27:57.860 - 00:27:58.820

It's epic.

Kash

00:27:59.300 - 00:28:04.340

I'm happy. Halloween. Halloween's my season, folks. It is definitely my season.

Jibbs

00:28:04.500 - 00:28:53.590

Yeah, I mean, it's kind of nice, too, because. And we will jump in the news here in a second, I promise.

But it's kind of nice because we have Brew Fest, which I was finally able to kind of do this this week because last week, and I know we kind of made little bit. A little bit. Made some jokes about it last episode, but, you know, like, that was. It was really, really difficult to take in Brew Fest on the first.

First week because of all the. The lag and the other things that were kind of going on, and there's still some stuff that's still glitched.

However, I was actually able to jump into Brewfest, and so that's been a nice, like, thing to, like, tide me over until the Halloween. I know. Hallow's End or Hollow. This Hollow's in, right? Isn't that the exact verbiage? So, yeah, okay, yeah.

Look forward to hearing the Headless Horseman screaming at you when you're in Stormwind 24. 7. So you can look forward to that.

Kash

00:28:53.990 - 00:28:55.670

Did you get your mount yet for Brewfest?

Jibbs

00:28:56.070 - 00:29:12.020

Dude, I got the kodo. I got the Brew Fest Cotto, which was cool. And I had that guy on Farm or that event on Farm yesterday.

Just trying to get more transmog and whatnot and. But I still haven't gotten the new. The new mount. The barrel with the propellers. Yeah, yeah.

Kash

00:29:12.020 - 00:29:14.380

The. The fastest dungeon known to man.

Jibbs

00:29:15.020 - 00:29:15.500

Yeah.

Kash

00:29:16.140 - 00:29:17.660

It's literally 30 seconds.

Jibbs

00:29:17.740 - 00:29:22.100

You throw that guy an insult, you fight, and you're out. Yeah, it's awesome.

Kash

00:29:22.100 - 00:29:49.110

Yeah. Like, I don't have to heal anybody in there. I just, like. I basically just, like, put my ground kit down and that's. That's it. Then I just dps.

There's nothing to that fight. But if you haven't done that, folks, you can queue right up for it in Group Finder, and it's.

It literally will take you 30 seconds for a chance at the mount. So if you haven't done it, you have. Well, when this episode comes out, you have two more days. So do it. Do it.

Jibbs

00:29:49.430 - 00:30:55.770

It's awesome. It's worth it. So anyway, the deep dive on midnight now, folks, this is truly massive.

And for us to go through both of these things ad nauseam would literally make you nauseous and probably fall. Fall asleep. So what we're going to do is we're going to post our highlight, our highlights of both of these things.

It's kind of like little cheat sheets over on the episode page over@azerothmorningradio.com and you can check it out there. But what we're going to do is kind of pick through it some of the things that really stood out to us.

Some things that, you know, that we really liked. I mean the video was amazing. Dude, it was 30 minutes of that deep dive just.

And I think they needed to do this too because a lot of people walked away from Gamescom, me, myself included, confused as to what's actually in the expansion because I know there was difficulty with getting the message out and so it was. I just felt like I have not been in the know from Gamescom on like and I'm just kind of taking these bits and pieces.

But this 30 minute video, dude, was amazing. It went through everything.

Kash

00:30:56.210 - 00:31:29.080

Yeah. And I actually got to, actually got to sit. I just kind of picked a corner at work, sat down. I got to watch the entire thing, which was really cool.

I think the biggest thing that has always impressed me with Blizzard is their production value that they, that they put into the stuff.

And like when we talk about the Q and A here in a few minutes, you can tell that like some of the stuff is, it's a little scripted and they've gotten really, really good at answering questions very like diplomatically.

Jibbs

00:31:29.320 - 00:31:29.880

Oh yeah.

Kash

00:31:29.880 - 00:32:46.780

Because they have such a huge audience to, to cater to. But the one thing that I've always enjoyed was these feature videos like this one.

And it was, it was very feature rich and like Jibs was saying it was half an hour of all the things that are coming to us in midnight. And I think I'm, I'm just going to reach out there and say, I think one of the biggest things that I was excited about.

Now it does sound like midnight is going to be, you know, we're going to be in, in an area that is definitely a little more Horde heavy and we play alliance, so.

But it's nice to see the Horde getting some love with the things that we were seeing there and you know, the redo of the story arcs, a lot of the locations, you know, especially being in Quel'Danas.

You got the Sunwell Silver Moon Cities has been redone and there's, you know, they're gonna, they're gonna put the alliance like over in this little corner which is fine. Like it makes sense, right. Because you know, we're going at this threat, you know, this threat with Zalotose. We're going at the can. Can we say that?

Are we able to say, I mean.

Jibbs

00:32:46.780 - 00:32:48.420

Like, I don't know. Who isn't at this point?

Kash

00:32:48.420 - 00:32:53.780

Yeah, I think she has an only f*n page with just her just feet pics.

Griffty (Goblin)

00:32:54.020 - 00:32:57.780

Hey, what'd he say?

Jibbs

00:32:57.780 - 00:33:01.460

Maybe ask someone at Goldshire. Maybe they would know about that one. I don't. I don't know.

Kash

00:33:02.820 - 00:33:18.090

There we go with Goldshire.

I know. It's like. It's like some special roped off section in. In the basement of Gold Tavern now. Yep. Just pictures of her toes.

And you have to pay an extra special.

Jibbs

00:33:18.330 - 00:33:19.290

Oh my gosh.

Kash

00:33:19.290 - 00:33:26.010

Fee to get in there if that's what you're into. It's fine. It's totally fine. If you're into feet.

Jibbs

00:33:27.530 - 00:33:27.970

Yeah.I want to see how you bring this back around you. Go ahead.

Kash

00:33:32.250 - 00:33:34.650

This is a family friendly show, everybody.

Jibbs

00:33:36.580 - 00:33:37.700

You had one job.

Kash

00:33:39.860 - 00:34:04.110

No, but I, I am excited about seeing the. The new revitalized areas.

And then I think one of the biggest things that stood out for me is the fact that they understand that there's going to be a little bit of separation between, you know, Horde and Alliance characters there. But what was like one of the coolest things that they're doing to bring everybody together? Jims.

Jibbs

00:34:04.110 - 00:34:06.190

They're putting there's.

Kash

00:34:06.190 - 00:34:07.950

I mean, the Tavern.

Jibbs

00:34:08.030 - 00:34:16.510

The Tavern. Okay. I didn't know where you were taking it. I thought, I'm like, they're giving us a section of the city. But you already said that. Yes.

So the Argentina, I believe is how you say that. Correct?

Kash

00:34:16.670 - 00:34:49.870

Yes, the Argentina, which is a massive tavern with just all the feels of a World of Warcraft tavern. And I don't know if you caught any of the. Did you catch any of the music or key into the. I know you did. You're an audiophile, so I know how you are.

But if, If I can just picture in just quick tangent side story, like one of my favorite soundtracks, I. I dare say my favorite soundtrack in all of World of Warcraft is the Taverns of Azeroth.

Jibbs

00:34:49.870 - 00:34:50.590

Oh, yeah.

Kash

00:34:50.750 - 00:35:20.480

It's phenomenal. If you've never heard it and you're on Spotify or whatever music medium you on for digital music, look up the Taverns of Azeroth and listen to it.

It is a phenomenal soundtrack of all the Taverns of Azeroth or, you know, at least a vast majority of them. And I got excited because having this communal area for both the Horde and the alliance that they're adding into it in the Arcantina.

You know, there's going to be new music.

Jibbs

00:35:20.640 - 00:35:22.000

Oh, yeah, yeah.

Kash

00:35:22.080 - 00:35:45.990

So new tavern music. I got super excited about that. I know it's nerdy. I, I don't care. I embrace it. It is what it is.

But so little things like this, in seeing all the revital revitalizations that they're, that they're doing to old zones that we've been in, I'm just so excited about. And that's probably one of the biggest things that, that stood out for me with this reveal.

Jibbs

00:35:45.990 - 00:36:15.180

Yeah, I love it because it's just like this, the vibe of the place, at least from what we've been able to see, is just like this warm, just chill vibe tavern, you know, that's a hub for quests, for story hooks and for socializing.

So I can tell you right now without a shadow of a doubt, I will not only be hanging out in there, but I'll absolutely be RPing in there because there's going to be role players everywhere. Everywhere. It's going to be crazy. It's going to be a good time. I see that smirk. I know where you're going already.

It's the kind of tavern you want to be in. And.

Kash

00:36:17.890 - 00:36:20.690

I, I always know when you're doing the rps.

Jibbs

00:36:21.730 - 00:36:23.250

I know because I don't get in Discord.

Kash

00:36:23.570 - 00:36:37.730

He doesn't get in Discord. And it will have your character's name and Stormwind City next to it. And I'm like that, that has a friend I know to just leave it alone. Don't.

Don't send you text messages. Don't call.

Jibbs

00:36:37.890 - 00:36:39.410

Text me. You can call me.

Kash

00:36:39.410 - 00:36:40.690

He's doing the RPs.

Jibbs

00:36:44.300 - 00:36:45.100

Is that a thing?

Kash

00:36:45.900 - 00:37:10.220

I just, I jest. But honestly, friends, if you have not role played in this game, you should try it. There's a lot there. It's. It's a whole new world.

It's a whole new dimension to your game. And it's, I mean, especially on our server, like we're on the RP server, it is, it's vast. Oh, it's very, it's very, very popular.

Jibbs

00:37:10.500 - 00:37:58.720

It's a good time anyway.

Honestly, what any game that you play, any ip, you know, like the moment that you can like start to develop your character out, you're gonna find what it does to you, incidentally and passively is that it's going to connect you more to the world you're in. So like it is just a, just developed a much more deeper love and care for the world. The world lore.

And you know, you just really kind of get more invested in your character. So. Yeah, it's a good time. You should check it out. But anyway, so the Tavern's there. It's going to be awesome. It looks beautiful.

And they listed so many more things as well, you know, like you've got delve. So like, we know one delve at least is outdoors, which is looked awesome. You know, you've got the.

And actually I think it's called the Parhelion Plaza. It's the defense of the Sunwell, I think is. Is that delve, which looks really, really cool.

Kash

00:37:58.800 - 00:38:05.200

Right. And the. And the removal. But of some of the. Of some of the things in delves now that kind of piss people off.

Jibbs

00:38:05.360 - 00:38:05.920

Yeah.

Kash

00:38:06.000 - 00:38:13.360

You know, like having to. You, you know that candle, you have to go freaking find a damn candle. And like you have a bunch of them in your bag and you gotta throw them and otherwise you start taking damage. Now granted, the damage is dumb. It's like. It's not. It's not a lot of damage, but it's still a pain in the butt mechanic that we have to get through.

And then. And the other ones where you have to purify the air and there's a whole bunch of those little things and. And no underwater delves, which is great.

Jibbs

00:38:36.400 - 00:38:39.120

Man, I would love to talk underwater sometime.

Kash

00:38:39.200 - 00:38:40.520

You want to talk underwater?

Jibbs

00:38:40.520 - 00:38:41.040

We should.

Kash

00:38:41.040 - 00:38:42.600

Folks won't be able to hear underwater.

Jibbs

00:38:42.600 - 00:38:43.360

Oh, that's true.

Kash

00:38:46.960 - 00:38:48.000

That is a murloc.

Jibbs

00:38:50.080 - 00:39:32.530

Underwater. What would it be like? Well, oh, man, you know, I just. Real quick tangent.

I would love to see more underwater content in Azeroth because when you and I were in Guild Wars 2 and we were creating over there, their underwater content is, bar none, the pinnacle of underwater content. They have set up a system in such a way that it's exceptional. It's amazing.

And I know if they can do it, I know the king of all King MMOs, World of Warcraft, can conquer it. So I would love to see them really give a solid go to underwater content. So when I saw no underwater delves, I'm like, oh, if we ever, ever.

Kash

00:39:32.530 - 00:39:39.450

Had a chance of a developer from Blizzard listening to our show, they just turned it off. You just killed it.

Jibbs

00:39:39.450 - 00:39:41.050

Why underwater content?

Kash

00:39:41.050 - 00:39:53.060

What's wrong with underwater content? What a massive undertaking that that would be for them to turn it into a system like Kill Force system. They're like, nope, we're done.

These guys suck.

Jibbs

00:39:53.060 - 00:39:58.260

What's the name of the show yeah, blacklist. They're on the blacklist.

Kash

00:39:59.060 - 00:40:14.610

No, but I do agree that the underwater content in Guild Wars 2 is, is the pinnacle of underwater content. I mean they, they basically as soon as your character goes under, the surface of the water brings you a whole new level of skills.

Like you have a whole new bar.

Jibbs

00:40:14.690 - 00:40:15.250

Oh yeah.

Kash

00:40:15.250 - 00:40:31.250

Different weapons, you know, things you got like little masks so you can breathe with. So you can breathe underwater and stuff. It's very, very good. But World of Warcraft has very good, very, very good underwater content.

There's entire zones that are underwater.

Jibbs

00:40:31.250 - 00:40:31.890

Oh yeah.

Kash

00:40:31.890 - 00:40:46.340

Over the years that, that there's been so. And, and it is nice in, in any game, any MMO that you're playing, it is very nice to know that the world continues underwater.

You're not like, remember Swotor, dude, I.

Jibbs

00:40:46.340 - 00:40:48.620

Was going there to the ankle deep. Yep.

Kash

00:40:48.620 - 00:40:59.300

Ankle deep water everywhere you go. You can't go underwater. There's nothing going on underwater. And it's like, dude, like flesh out your world. Yeah. Come on.

Jibbs

00:40:59.540 - 00:41:00.100

Yeah.

Kash

00:41:00.180 - 00:41:15.930

So it is very refreshing in games like World of Warcraft. From the start, friends from 2004, World of Warcraft has had really good underwater content. So maybe we'll talk about another show.

But just know there will be no more underwater delves in Midnight.

Jibbs

00:41:15.930 - 00:41:23.330

You remember new world where you, you couldn't swim for like the better part of almost two years and you walked underwater like lead feet.

Kash

00:41:24.210 - 00:41:33.490

Yeah. It was like you had rocks in your pockets and you go underwater and you would die. You try and cross a river and you would die.

Jibbs

00:41:33.570 - 00:41:34.050

Yeah.

Kash

00:41:34.350 - 00:41:46.310

Because you were walking under. They finally have like a mad swimming system in that game. But yeah, nothing underwater. Underwater content is amazing. It is a topic for another show.

Jibbs

00:41:46.310 - 00:42:51.520

Oh, absolutely. And so again, Windrunner Spire, we've also got other dungeons like Magister's Terrace, Murder Row, which looks, looks and sounds amazing.

Which by the way, Murder Row is where the price system I believe is based out of. And so that's going to be a good time as well. They're going to be having of course, three different raids.

And the new spec for Demon Hunters really got some love. The Devour Demon Hunter.

So that mid range dps, I like when they take these odd chances like this, you know, like when they came out with the Evoker, I remember we were playing Dragonflight at the time and of course we were. I don't know where we were at creating at that point, but we. One thing that we really enjoyed was we were enjoying Dragonflight.

And so when the Evoker came Out in that support class I never really got into the aesthetic of Evokers being a dracthyr so I never played it. But I always really appreciated the fact that they added a support class to the game. And so even now.

Fast forward to where we're at now, getting ready for midnight in 2026. They've got a mid range DPS spec which just sounds really unique.

Kash

00:42:51.520 - 00:42:57.440

Pop quiz hotshot. Okay, this is gonna be further reason for Blizzard to hate us.

Jibbs

00:42:57.440 - 00:42:58.280

Oh, all right.

Kash

00:42:58.280 - 00:43:02.520

If you can pick one. I'm not trying to take anything away from you.

Jibbs

00:43:03.160 - 00:43:04.400

I know what you're gonna ask and.

Kash

00:43:04.400 - 00:43:46.080

You know well I know you well and it's good show content. So shut up and let it happen. I'm not taking anything away from the Devour Demon Hunters because I think it fits.

I think they did a really nice job making Void Specked Demon Hunter. It makes sense and they alluded to it in. In the War within and I loved how they alluded to it and I was like what's.

Why is that quest line there all of a sudden? We're getting devoured Demon Hunters. But if you had your pick of a new class, Spectres, you don't have to say the Spectres.

Just give me your number one pick for a new new class in World of Warcraft.

Jibbs

00:43:46.080 - 00:44:55.280

I'm going to give you two and this will be the two. I will always say as long as this show is running the two. I will always say number one, a proper necromancer that's not fell based something that.

Because they have necromancers in the. Was it the reach something Reach the Forget the name the starter zone. You know like when you make your first make your character.

And of course they're also in other places in the lore as well and they're referenced really. And so you know really playing on the aspect of like a basically a different type of mage, you know. So having a proper Necromancer class.

And then number two, this is the one you thought I was going to go to first because you know me. However, an Engineer class, aka Tinkerer, the Engineer class in Guild Wars 2 with the turrets is the best engineer class of all time.

And again I have no doubt that they would be able to do something amazing like that when you've got basically in short you put down turrets, different types of turrets do different things and it is so much fun and I have no doubt they could put such a wonderful engineer, you know, spin on it for World of Warcraft. So those are my two always Going to be my two. I will say them till they're both here.

Kash

00:44:55.280 - 00:45:00.320

Dude. Tinker with like, it's like a mid range DPS with a blunderbuss.

Jibbs

00:45:00.480 - 00:45:00.960

Yes.

Kash

00:45:00.960 - 00:45:04.080

Or a shotgun. Just a big old smoke pole.

Jibbs

00:45:04.080 - 00:45:04.720

Oh, dude.

Kash

00:45:04.720 - 00:45:05.120

Yeah.

Jibbs

00:45:05.370 - 00:45:06.330

Yeah, buddy.

Kash

00:45:06.890 - 00:45:07.770

So, so good.

Jibbs

00:45:07.770 - 00:45:25.090

And it's so, it's so ready for it to like just the lore. I mean the world's ready. I mean you already got the engineer profession, you've got the gnomes and the.

You've got the two best races with the two best pieces of lore for that. The goblins and the gnomes doing their thing. And so. Yeah, that'd be amazing. What about you?

Kash

00:45:25.090 - 00:45:26.170

For me it'd be the Bard.

Jibbs

00:45:26.170 - 00:45:28.210

The Bard. I was hoping you'd go there.

Kash

00:45:28.210 - 00:45:52.730

Yeah, yeah, Bard 100%. I think it'd just be such a, such a cool class.

But again, take nothing away from Devour Demon Hunters because that is going to add a lot of fun and depth for folks who, who enjoy Demon Hunters. And you know what's funny is I don't have many other classes that I want to play, but the Demon Hunter always looks interesting to me.

Like does I should just roll a demon?

Jibbs

00:45:52.730 - 00:46:37.850

If you do it, tell me and I'll do it with you. Because I think they're also going to be including, including the Void Elves as well for this.

So the Voids and they basically the Devour Demon Hunters, they rip void fragments to fuel devastating abilities. So void scythe, void ray reap, collapsing star.

I'm not gonna lie, a lot of that reminds me of the Necro from Eso, but new animations, mechanics and void infused play style. Yeah, it looks fun. Like it looks fun. And everyone in the. I forget where I read it. Somewhere in the community said that.

Well, you know, since it's a new thing, it's going to be op. And they're probably not wrong because typically when new classes come out, they're. They're a little stronger. But it does look fun. It does.

Kash

00:46:38.010 - 00:47:00.240

Yeah, it does look fun.

And I mean even if it is op, like if we're thinking for like, for PvP and stuff, I already freaking take a face full of Demon Hunter all the freaking time.

As a healer, it's like I'm doing my thing and all of a sudden I just have all this freaking fell energy being shoved down my throat and was like, can't breathe, can't move.

Jibbs

00:47:00.640 - 00:47:01.120

Yeah.

Kash

00:47:01.200 - 00:47:11.680

Yeah, I'm. I am really looking forward to, to seeing these changes and I know we went through it kind of quick, but there is so much there, folks.

Please make sure to check out our notes.

Jibbs

00:47:11.680 - 00:47:17.800

We even talk about housing. And that was amazing to see, of course, in this. This reveal. But yeah, yeah.

Kash

00:47:17.800 - 00:47:18.680

And we got a date.

Jibbs

00:47:18.680 - 00:47:20.240

Oh, we do. Yeah. You want to go ahead?

Kash

00:47:20.240 - 00:47:22.840

Is December 2nd or is 2nd right?

Jibbs

00:47:22.840 - 00:47:37.800

That's the word I'm hearing. They said early December was what I. What they said on the video.

As far as an official dates, I've heard December 2nd being thrown around, but I can't confirm anywhere that. That that's the actual thing yet.

Kash

00:47:37.800 - 00:47:41.000

Checking now. December 2nd, I was right.

Jibbs

00:47:41.160 - 00:47:42.320

Yeah, that's all. There we go.

Kash

00:47:42.320 - 00:47:49.240

Yep. Starting Dec. 2 for players who pre purchase the upcoming expansion midnight.

Jibbs

00:47:49.400 - 00:47:51.360

That's gonna be amazing. Yeah.

Kash

00:47:51.360 - 00:47:56.360

My gosh. It's like content after content after content.

Jibbs

00:47:56.680 - 00:47:57.240

I know.

Kash

00:47:57.720 - 00:48:01.000

For this thing, we have a busy few months.

Jibbs

00:48:01.080 - 00:48:01.560

I know.

Kash

00:48:01.640 - 00:48:02.320

Seriously.

Jibbs

00:48:02.320 - 00:48:07.400

I know. It's almost like you don't know as a creator, you don't know what to do with yourself. You know, like you're not having to scavenge for anything.

Kash

00:48:07.400 - 00:48:08.360

It's just like.

Jibbs

00:48:10.930 - 00:48:15.810

Content buffet. We'll take a little bit of that, took a side of this, and boom, we got an episode.

Kash

00:48:16.290 - 00:49:07.940

This is definitely a content buffet, as you'll probably see with the amount of stuff that we're going to cover here. But I mean, that is one thing for a content creator that you never want to have to search for is news or things that have happened in the past week.

There is no, never. Not something going on at Blizzard where they're like, oh, by the way, here's this and here's this.

And hey, we talked to these developers this week and this is what they had to say. It's like there's always something going on and that shows game health.

This game is probably the healthiest it's ever been or it has been in a long, long time. Like, there are tons of people playing this game right now because it's just this constant release schedule that they're sticking to very well.

Is really lending to players coming back.

Jibbs

00:49:08.180 - 00:49:46.750

Oh, yeah, absolutely. I mean, you have. You have the. I mean, you said it all, you know, like so much content. You have the housing update, which is just.

That's gonna bring so many people to try the game alone. Just having housing in your mmo, it's such a big, big deal. It's huge in eso. It's huge. And oh, gosh, was.

I think Lord of the Rings online also has it, but I swotor does, you know, like, it's just amazing what it does for. For an IP Especially adding new players. So there's no doubt that people who haven't played in quite some time are coming back for housing.

Kash

00:49:46.910 - 00:49:49.870

I'm gonna, I'm gonna have to kick you in the nuts on the swtor thing.

Jibbs

00:49:49.870 - 00:49:51.150

Why? You don't like it?

Kash

00:49:51.310 - 00:50:01.800

Oh, no, dude. Well, you know me, I'm. I have an entire arm tattooed. Star Wars. So, you know, I'm a Star wars fan. But that like their release cadence is the suck.

Jibbs

00:50:01.880 - 00:50:03.160

Oh, well, no, I agree.

Kash

00:50:03.240 - 00:50:03.920

Swotor.

Jibbs

00:50:03.920 - 00:50:15.880

I agree it's terrible. I agree it's. And, but I also, I mean, that's kind of like a whole nother conversation, but I think it's because it's now run.

It's kind of like getting drip feed content from just the new developers that took it over.

Kash

00:50:15.880 - 00:50:41.830

But yeah, that's the problem with you and I, is it? If we, we can tangent out really easy, folks. So you will see, it'll, it'll look a bit like.

At times, it'll look a bit like a pinball machine where the ball looks like it wants to waste your quarter. But we just kind of, we tap it right back onto the playing field and we'll, we will eventually get back to where we're, where we're going.

We can tangent out pretty easy.

Jibbs

00:50:41.830 - 00:50:42.350

True.

Kash

00:50:42.430 - 00:53:13.280

All right, friends.

So one of the other features of the development update that we got this week, which was really, really good, I kind of, I sat down and put my thinking cap on, took a bunch of notes and really was able to get invested in the Q A. I thought the Q A is, is excellent. I really do enjoy listening to these and you know, watching these Q and A's that they have.

And you know, I, I feel like sometimes when I'm watching these, it's not just getting the information about what's coming out. It is, it's a craft for them.

And you know, just as a, as a small sidebar, it is impressive to watch such a huge game and a huge developer have the poise that they have when they're answering some of these questions.

Because some of the, some, even some of the questions that they chose were questions that they probably knew they couldn't answer, but they could use it as a vehicle to move towards some of the features that are coming out for, for midnight. And it's, it's actually very impressive. To some, it might seem like, oh well, they were deflecting. It's. No, these are very well trained developers.

They know their craft very well. They know their audience, they know the things they can say and can't say. And honestly, for them it's.

It's a dance to be able to let certain amounts of information out. Like they would say, you know, today I can announce that.

That this is going on or to, you know, we're not quite ready to talk about that yet, but here's this. And they're very good about doing that. So I think let's start off with housing here. I think some of the stuff with housing was.

Was very interesting and very exciting. They know how exciting housing is and how much people wanted this. And I'm gonna, I'm gonna dump into this a bit. Little. Little bit.

One of the things that.

One of the questions that was asked was somebody who had asked the question heard tell that in a Horde neighborhood you would be able to have houses where the aesthetic was lions. And that was debunked. That's. That's not a thing.

And, and as a matter of fact, they, they did make a pretty funny quip about it saying, you're going to have to contact your HOA if you have an issue with this. But it makes plenty of sense because I would not want to be in an alliance neighborhood and have a Horde looking house.

It's like your neighbor in your neighborhood right now paints their house pink.

Jibbs

00:53:13.280 - 00:53:13.720

Yeah.

Kash

00:53:14.360 - 00:53:16.640

Like, no, dude, where's.

Jibbs

00:53:16.640 - 00:53:45.469

Ah, yeah, do it exactly. Like, it just, it just would be odd.

I'm glad they didn't allow that thing just because it's like, like you can tell whenever a game kind of starts to move into areas where things are like, the lines are a little bit blurred because certain things are allowed that normally wouldn't be or like things they would been die hard against, you know, just several years beforehand. And I'm really glad, like out the gate they're like, hey, nope, nope, nope, nope. Not happening.

Kash

00:53:46.030 - 00:53:54.190

Yeah, that doesn't. That wouldn't have made sense to me and I think that probably would have. It probably would have pissed a lot of people off, to be honest with you.

Jibbs

00:53:54.190 - 00:53:54.670

Yeah.

Kash

00:53:54.670 - 00:53:57.580

There's just one black sheep of the neighborhood.

Jibbs

00:53:57.740 - 00:53:58.220

Yeah.

Kash

00:53:58.220 - 00:54:13.820

And he's got this freaking huge portal behind his house. He's not, he's not cutting his lawn. And his house is just in, you know, looks like it's in like it's from Orgrimmar. Yeah, it's in Elwyn Forest.

I mean, like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Jibbs

00:54:13.820 - 00:54:21.100

And how are you going to communicate? Like humans speak common. Then you have the orc neighbors like, oh, yeah, okay.

Kash

00:54:21.660 - 00:54:33.180

I know you're like, you're trying to Get a hold of him. There's a bunch of people with pitchforks and torches outside of his house, and all you hear is zog. Zog from.

All right, this guy's clearly not going to work with us.

Jibbs

00:54:34.300 - 00:54:34.540

So.

Kash

00:54:34.540 - 00:55:20.710

Yeah, so that's not a thing. Another question that was asked is, you know, what happens if you have a guild neighborhood and your guild fizzles?

And now all of a sudden, like, you've put all this time and effort into creating your home and decorating and doing all the things that you want to do for your plot, and it kind of fizzles. Well, your house will pack up very nicely. And they joked about it saying it's like little.

Everything packs up, like, into this nice little tight arcane ball. And then you can just unpack that in another plot someplace, which I thought is. That's fantastic.

So all the code in the background will save everything that you've done and you can pack it up and move someplace else, which is cool.

Jibbs

00:55:20.710 - 00:57:11.570

I like that. And it. They. How do I word this? I feel like they've done a great job baby, stepping their way through this whole feature since the.

The announcement of it. It's the way that they're very. They're very measured. That's the word I'm looking for. This entire thing has just been a very measured process.

It feels like from the player's side standpoint is that just everything is very. Just, you know, they're not going way over the top. It's just every. Every decision they make just feels very, very measured. And you kind of.

You already know what you're getting long before you get in there. There isn't any blurred lines. And it makes it very enjoyable because I then have a dependent, like a transparency or an understanding.

Apparently, words are hard today. I have a understanding of exactly what I'm getting, and I appreciate that. And so I love the fact. I love their responses.

And I know you kind of said this earlier, but, yes, very measured. And. And how they. They make their responses to. To these questions. And it's just. It's nice to see. There's another thing that I really.

I really kind of really like to see. I'm like an aspiring engineer. I'm not great, but I'm so stoked. I think I'm like, what AM I, like, 20, I think, on my. My.

Yeah, because I haven't been able to unlock the next. The first set of recipes yet. So, like, I'm slow rolling this time as an engineer. So what I love to see was the.

The bit where they were talking about press, profession, decor. So it, you know, the decor grants, skill ups and the relevant expansion track itself. So like it'll be available by recipe slash complexity.

So just like the fact that that's going to be like baked in with the current expansion already. Love it. Seamless. It works well.

Kash

00:57:11.730 - 00:59:25.490

Yeah, it does.

And to, to go along with that they were talking about how there's at first there's not going to be any items available for housing on the trading posts, which is good.

And the reason being is because there's tons of other sources for you to get one of those being crafting as you just talked about achievements, finishing campaigns and all the other things that you know, all the other achievements that you've done in the game.

And like we were saying at the, at the top of the show when we were talking about how Jibs and I are, we're trying to posthumously prepare for having these unlocks and having as much housing, as many housing items as we can possibly have ready. We're trying to get ready for that now by hitting old achievements.

But what they did say is that in the future they are going to put a blog post up with in game information that will be visible in alpha, which you know, we'll eventually be able to see for the players who are not in alpha so that players can understand what they need to do to pre hunt these requirements. Yep, that's great. So if you want to get a head start on it, you.

Right now we're kind of in the wind on knowing exactly what it is, but I would say the more achievements that you can get as of right now, do it. But there should be a list of, of ways to get housing items that is much more specific directly from Blizzard coming in the near future.

One of the other things that we talked about earlier and we were mentioning books and I wanted to just make mention of this not at launch, this is not going to be a feature that we're getting right away, but once they get the basis of housing out and everything is running correctly, Blizzard is going to be looking for feedback on ways to improve the housing system which already looks absolutely insane and probably going to be one of the pinnacle housing systems in any mmo. I honestly I feel that way.

I was going to kind of save that for the end just as a general thought, but I really feel that this housing system is going to even surpass that of wildstar, which was incredible at the time.

Jibbs

00:59:25.730 - 01:00:10.250

Gosh, you know what's crazy is it's gone and it has been gone for so many years now. However, that was the best housing system ever in an MMORPG ever. It was amazing.

And agreed when that, when that left the industry, you know, when that game left, that left a major gap in housing systems. ESO has a pretty great housing system for the things that you can do.

You know, the sheer amount of custom customization that people can do is pretty similar to what you see here. And so it's really great to see both of these games, especially with Warcraft's updated version, everything they're doing, because.

Yeah, I totally agree. I totally see Wildstar 2.point zero here with this housing system.

Kash

01:00:10.250 - 01:00:24.010

Yeah, I do.

And I think the things that put, that are going to put wow's housing over the top and just, you know, take the trophy is the, the way that they're making neighborhoods a social hub and then the way that they're adding in a progression system with endeavors.

Jibbs

01:00:24.010 - 01:00:34.240

Yes, endeavors are going to be so, so good to have. And that's another reason too, folks. Like, if you're still looking for a guild, come join us. It's going to be busy. It's gonna be very, very busy.

Kash

01:00:34.470 - 01:01:07.150

And so, yeah, it's going to, it's going to be busy. And the endeavors.

One of the interesting things I learned about the endeavors, which is, is the progression system is that there's going to be events, like timed events that are running in a certain neighborhood. And your event for your neighborhood might not be the same as another neighborhood's event.

Yeah, you can visit the other neighborhood and you can spend your, you can spend your tender, I don't want to call it tender because not trading posts, but you can spend your, your currency.

Jibbs

01:01:08.430 - 01:01:09.590

Whatever you want to call it.

Kash

01:01:09.590 - 01:02:18.000

You can spend your currency on another events items and transmogs and you know, housing items, which I think is, is really cool.

So like, if you find out that, you know, there's, I don't know, a brew fest event going on in another neighborhood, you can go visit that neighborhood ahead and spend your currency there, which is super cool. But let me circle back around to bookshelves because that's, that's what we started this little mini conversation with at launch.

We will not have functional bookshelves. There are bookshelves that you can get.

But functional storage or display is something that was brought up during this Q and A and they said those are the types of things that they want to dive into. Once they, the basis of the housing system is running smoothly, they want to dive into ways to improve the system.

And that was one of the examples that they brought up, being able to have a collection of all of your books that you could walk up to, click on that book and then read it, which would be super cool. Just adds a little bit more intricate detail to your house.

Jibbs

01:02:18.000 - 01:03:50.280

That'd be amazing. I love their philosophy too. Kind of like going off what you said there. They're.

They're wanting to ship version one of housing and then they're going to grow based on player feedback, you know, like basically everything you just said.

But I just love the fact that that's their mentality, you know, like when it comes to housing, which has been, they said in development, I believe they started in Legion is what they said. Like this is when this, like the, the pieces kind of started, you know, like moving in that direction was Legion.

And so this has been going on for almost 10 years that they've been trying to put something like this together. And so it is going to be monumental for this game and it's going to bring so many people.

And honestly, I think that's part of the reason why they know, they know they have to get it right and they're so measured in all the steps that they're taking, which is great because I have.

We have seen, oh my gosh, and all the years that we've been creating, we have seen so many other development companies over promise and under deliver and the over promise part coming from. It could be hype, it could be something like that.

They, you know, that they firmly believed at the time that they could do and you know, ultimately those things would fall the wayside or fall apart and it wouldn't be coming out at all. And then you have a disappointed player base. You have, you know, people who are upset.

But when it comes to housing, when it comes to this feature right here from Blizzard, they have. It's going to be great for the community, man. It's going to be so, so good that the community gets to have this.

Kash

01:03:50.440 - 01:04:03.080

And there's, there's plenty of people out there that like, they could, they could care less about housing. And that's, that's totally fine. But I, I honestly believe that a vast majority of the community is, is just super pumped.

Jibbs

01:04:03.080 - 01:04:03.800

Oh yeah.

Kash

01:04:03.960 - 01:04:04.690

About housing.

Jibbs

01:04:04.920 - 01:04:10.680

Yeah, absolutely. And there's some other great things too in this Q and A.

And one of the things that you talked about was customization and races, which looked really cool.

Kash

01:04:10.680 - 01:04:33.880

Yeah, they're doing a few updates. Didn't sound like too many, but they are doing some updates to, to older races like Darkspear.

Like they're getting new hairstyles and some skin colors as part of the Zula Mon campaign. And then over time, as more updates roll out, they're probably going to, you know, try and do the same thing for other races.

Jibbs

01:04:34.120 - 01:04:56.040

That Zolomon race, I would love to see that as a playable race. That is the first, that's the first race I've seen that's come out.

I feel like that just from an intimidation factor, their faces, like, compared to an Orc, really like, you know what I mean? Like just the intimidation on their face just like, okay, don't want to mess with them. Like, they look gnarly, man.

Kash

01:04:56.040 - 01:04:58.870

You're just called orc dorks. Dorks. I saw it.

Jibbs

01:04:58.870 - 01:04:59.350

I did.

Kash

01:04:59.350 - 01:05:00.430

I saw it in your face.

Jibbs

01:05:00.590 - 01:05:03.710

This is a, this is a, this is a neutral faction show.

Kash

01:05:06.350 - 01:07:27.230

So, so speaking of races, this does bring up a another question that was. I was going to save this for later, but I'm not going to because you segued perfectly into this.

The question was brought up about, about new races and it essentially revolved around what is the process for determining new playable races in World of Warcraft? And I think a lot of Ian answered this question.

I think a lot of really good perspective for the players to understand why this is not an easy process was brought up by, by Ian. First of all, the way it's determined is narrative and you know, you know, it all stems with their plan.

Like they're going to build in a new race into a story first. So as an example from the War within the Heronir were brought into the storyline.

And when I like when I first saw that character, I was like, what the f is that? That is. That's. That. I never done seen that before. But it really did spark my interest right off the bat.

And one of the clues was the fact that they really gave a good major story arc that revolved around the Heron. And so, so keep that in mind in the future as you're, as you're playing through stuff. That is one of the, that's. It's one of the biggest indicators.

Now we could all, we could always say, well, there's, well, there's the Tortolan and there's all these other races that they've done that with.

But every once in a while when you get a race that they're paying special, a non playable race that they're paying very special attention to, there is a chance that that particular race could end up being in the game. But the other factors that go into that are one, does it make sense for this particular non playable race to join the Horde or the Alliance.

And like what are the, what are the parameters there? How are we going to work that into the story? Because Lore is important. I will say that again. Lore is important.

Jibbs

01:07:27.790 - 01:07:28.750

Heck yeah, it is.

Kash

01:07:28.830 - 01:08:09.360

Yeah. It's. It's a pinnacle part of this game. This is a storytelling game. It is a massively multiplayer online role playing game.

But it's an rpg so you have to at some point like Lore, it does have to be very apparent to folks that Lore is very important.

The other thing to consider that Ian said that I didn't, I kind of knew was an issue, but it didn't really like click in was that they need to consider every single armor type for every form of these new races including all the different forms for all the different classes for the lifetime of the game.

Jibbs

01:08:09.680 - 01:08:10.240

Yeah.

Kash

01:08:10.240 - 01:08:19.120

So it's a big deal. Like imagine what an undertaking any type of a dragon can would do. It changes everything, right?

Jibbs

01:08:19.280 - 01:08:19.920

Yep.

Kash

01:08:19.920 - 01:09:01.210

So they base a lot of these on. Is it easy for them to work with based on the existing character models and that. That makes a lot of sense to me.

So that's why, you know, we don't see some of the larger races in the game like ogres and such as, as being playable classes. It has to. Everything kind of has to work and not be an over the top time sink for them.

It's got to be time efficient for them to be able to, to bring a new playable race in the game. And it's a massive undertaking. That's why we don't see it all the time. So I thought that was a super important part that I wanted to bring up.

Jibbs

01:09:01.210 - 01:09:44.400

Yeah, yeah, absolutely. I mean we'll think about it. You know, like if they will wear mail, they have to make sure it fits for over 10,000 pieces of mail. Like that's insane.

That is absolutely insane. Another thing that they talked about on there that I really liked was the Prey system. That's something I can't wait to see.

So you know you're looking at from a prey difficulty standpoint, it's basically the difficulty is going to buff these enemies for you in that zone. So like let's say you are running on nightmare difficulty for your, your the Prey system. Everything in that zone is going to reflect that difficulty.

So that's going to really increase your gameplay experience. Especially if you don't have very good gear. I can imagine. So that was, that was pretty surprising to see.

Kash

01:09:44.480 - 01:09:58.430

Yeah. And it was also too at the lower levels I think at the base level. If you're on normal with the prey system, then others can pitch in and help you.

But if you're on those higher tiers, then you're on your own dog.

Jibbs

01:09:58.590 - 01:11:13.780

Yeah, yeah, absolutely. And then on next to that you got the reward slash vault. So it's going to be for the prey system.

It's going to be treated similarly to delves for great vault world row. So we're going to get more details on that and that was pretty cool. I was excited to hear about PvP because, you know, I, I used to.

That's how I was introduced to War Warcraft way back in the day. Like that was my main thing was just PvP and it was that for very, a very long time anyway.

All right, so PvP onboarding, really this is great for any new player to any type of content you're looking at with pve. They did this with follower dungeons, which I thought were fantastic.

Fantastic to help eliminate some of that, that anxiety people have whenever they come into the game and they're like, I don't, I don't know, you know, there's a lot of unknowns and you could totally just do a follower dungeon. Right. To really get in your class. Well, they're also doing that with PvP cash.

I remember, I'll never forget, I'll never forget when you and I were doing one of these types of training grounds I believe is what they're called and we won the match. You got a ton of kills. In fact, if you were on top of the board, I'm totally outing you. I'm so sorry. I can't stop now.

The ball's already rolling and you're forget.

Kash

01:11:13.780 - 01:11:15.700

Yeah, man, I got number one.

Jibbs

01:11:15.940 - 01:11:20.260

I guess a great job. Let's go play against some real people now. We'll see how this goes. And you're like, wait, what?

Kash

01:11:21.860 - 01:11:22.820

I don't wanna.

Jibbs

01:11:23.300 - 01:13:11.159

You didn't realize it was against NPCs and I, I honestly was not a hundred percent sure it wasn't players as well because I just didn't know and turns out that was the case and so. But it's great though that they're adding that to the game. It's going to allow people to get into the game. The new training ground system.

So BGs basic battlegrounds versus NPCs essentially it's going to be great for you to kind of get in and sink your teeth into the pace of combat. Like how that can feel from a player to player standpoint. It's going to help you understand the objectives in these maps because very.

And I basically queue up often when I'm out in the world whenever I'm playing. If right now I am trying to push for the transmog for the. The elite tier. So I have to, I think hit 2K on PvP.

So I'm just out there in the world just enjoying whatever I'm doing. And in the background I'm just queuing up and doing my thing. And it can be very brutal.

And many times I see more often than not people coming into the match and they're saying, okay, boys, what do we do here? It's my first time, you know, and that happens more times than you. Than. Than you would think.

And so I think this is great that they're adding to the game. It really kind of in a good way. This isn't a derogatory thing. It kind of holds your hand to kind of get you used to this.

Because when you're trying something that's brand new to you. And I'll be the perfect example for mythics. That's a stretch for me. It's not norm. It's not my norm. So when I get into a mythic, like I'm.

I'll tell you, I'll be the first one to tell you, hey, everyone pulling aggro. Hey, Jibs stressed the heck out, man. When we're in the. We're in these mythics and I'm the first to take a dirt nap.

You have no idea how deep my head is into the palm of my hand at that point. Like, I'm just like, oh, like it is a stressor for me.

Kash

01:13:11.159 - 01:13:16.560

You should try healing some. Talk about white knuckling your keyboard.

Jibbs

01:13:17.920 - 01:13:37.520

It's.

Yeah, dude, it's not my norm, but you know, like, so I totally get the stressors that people face coming into a game with a. I'm going to finish my monologue here with, you know, with a new system that they're not familiar with. So it's really, really good. It's great even that, you know, they're doing this also now for the PvP crowd. And it'll be a permanent fixture.

Kash

01:13:37.520 - 01:14:16.880

Right.

It brings it on par with the follower dungeons that you mentioned earlier, which I think is a phenomenal add to this game for accessibility for people who don't normally run that content and. And people who want to see the story but don't want to pug. They might play solo.

The follower dungeons and things like this new PvP onboarding with the training grounds is absolutely fantastic for them to Add to the game for accessibility sake. One thing I quickly want to say about follower dungeons and the addition of that to the game. What was that? Maybe a year ago, Maybe two years ago.

Jibbs

01:14:16.880 - 01:14:17.800

Yeah, yeah. War within.

Kash

01:14:18.120 - 01:14:44.540

If you are a healer or if you're trying a heal spec or if you've never healed before, those follower dungeons are your friend. They absolutely are. Because you can tweak your spec, you don't have to worry about a group waiting on you. You can try your rotation.

There are so many things that you can do with the follower war dungeons to get acquainted with your class. It's an excellent training ground for PvE.

Jibbs

01:14:44.540 - 01:14:45.180

Oh yeah.

Kash

01:14:45.180 - 01:14:46.420

So use it as a tool.

Jibbs

01:14:46.420 - 01:15:17.570

Absolutely. They also have the war mode playground. You see that? The new large war mode area. So it's like similar to Slayer's Rise but it's.

It's a new area in Void Storm so it's going to be packed with war mode activities. So objectives, all kinds of fun things there. PvP themed content. Basically it's a rogue's preference playground.

So casters, I'm telling you now, if you have war mode on casters, we know what happens. If you're a caster and a rogue goes after you melee, well, we'll just pop some shields and pray to the Titans that we survive.

Kash

01:15:17.650 - 01:15:27.810

So yep, some, some casters out there get caught in that and just if you get caught with a rogue sometimes just take your hands off the keyboard. Sometimes it's best just let them finish.

Jibbs

01:15:27.810 - 01:16:01.700

I was doing the weekly arena skirmish yesterday. I think you had just left. I think you had a call. You just left. And I'm like well I guess I could try to finish that. That weekly thing. You know.

There was a rogue that was the only member from the opposing team and so the second person didn't join the join into the match. So it was a 2v1 us 2 versus them 1. And the mage that was on my team just sat back and just let us do like a. A one on one fight.

I'm just trying to think of the. The orc's name for their one on one fights. I forgot it but.

Kash

01:16:02.180 - 01:16:02.900

Makara.

Jibbs

01:16:02.900 - 01:16:16.460

Makara. Yes. Thank you. That rogue played me like a fiddle.

Dude just owned me 100 and he just took his time like surgically like a doctor just cut me to pieces and I was just played with you like a cat. Yeah.

Kash

01:16:16.460 - 01:16:17.460

Your cat plays with.

Jibbs

01:16:17.460 - 01:16:24.010

Yeah, it's exactly what it was. It was crazy. So I say that to say rogues eat your heart out because you're about to have a good time over there.

Kash

01:16:24.320 - 01:17:59.440

So one of the biggest things that we had come out of this was the conversation they had about add ons and ui. And this is a hot topic. This is a super hot topic right now because there's some folks who are very reliant on add ons for certain things.

And I'm going to give my opinion on this because I'm. I can see both sides of this. This, of this argument now. Whereas I've always been a proponent for.

If there's an add on for something and it's a popular add on, I'm talking like the. The highest amounts of downloads on Curse Forge.

It probably should be a pretty good indicator to a game developer that these should be native tools to the game. And although it's. It's. I don't think it's too late. It's definitely late in the game here, you know, 20 plus years out.

But I do think that the changes that Blizzard is making are all leaning in the right direction for replacing some of our beloved add ons. And when I say that, I say for me personally, things like Heal Bot. I just replaced Heal Bot with the. The native UI for. For mouse over healing and it.

It's working. There are definitely some improvements that they can do.

I would say the biggest ones that are out there that are going to be affected by this are weak auras and didn't. Do we just hear the weak auras.

Jibbs

01:17:59.440 - 01:18:00.360

It's done. Yeah.

Kash

01:18:00.360 - 01:18:01.160

Did they say they're.

Jibbs

01:18:01.160 - 01:18:04.760

It's done. They're not updating anymore. When in for midnight.

Kash

01:18:04.760 - 01:18:09.500

Oh man. Dude, that is so huge.

Jibbs

01:18:09.580 - 01:18:10.380

End of an era.

Kash

01:18:10.380 - 01:19:17.610

It's the end of an era. I mean weak auras is. I know I talked about a little bit on. On the last show.

I'm not a huge user of weak auras, although I have in the past use weak auras. But with the improvements to the cooldown system, if you don't know weak ores is. It is an add on to.

There's all kinds of things you can do with weak ores. One of the major uses for WeakAuras is to monitor cool cooldowns in the game and the changes that they're making to the cooldown system I think are.

Are very, very big changes and it's going to make a difference for a lot of us in using the native ui. But to hear that weak auras is going away like that, that's a huge thing.

The other one that I had on my mind was Deadly boss mods, which is absolutely essential. I believe it is absolutely essential unless you want to play the game like in, in more of a hard mode way, which is also fine.

But I just think that, that something like DBM is, is a massive upgrade for the, for your gameplay if you're gonna do it. And I want to see what they do with it.

Jibbs

01:19:17.610 - 01:20:00.030

Yeah, yeah, I have my hand raised for that. Like hard mode. Yeah. I love the idea of DBM not being a thing per se. I like the idea of not having those cues.

This is a, this may be a really spicy take and I'm not trying to be like, oh, I can't believe. That's not at all what I'm trying to be. But like I like as native as possible. As native as a. As much of a native experience as possible.

And this is just my personal preference whenever it comes to gaming, so. Or for Warcraft. So I will, I'll go through those stance where I'll add like a bunch of add ons because it's fun. Try new things out.

Like by the way, dialogue. If you haven't. If you don't have that one, download that one. That's amazing.

Kash

01:20:00.030 - 01:20:00.470

Agreed.

Jibbs

01:20:00.470 - 01:20:33.430

You know, like I, I'm now just using the native ui. I got rid of using dominoes and it's just stuff like that.

Like I would love for, I would love for DBM to not be a thing and we have to rely on knowing the fights. We have to rely on what, you know, paying attention to the stages and, and not having those, those vocal cues and those things. That's just me though.

That's more of like the classic era style, like when it first came out, you know, like that's, that's in my head. What I would love to see as you raise that eyebrow at me and everyone else who's listening right now. But you know, it is what it is.

That's where, that's where my head's at with it.

Kash

01:20:33.430 - 01:20:42.630

I'm contemplating whether or not I need to figure out if you're using DBM or not.

Jibbs

01:20:42.630 - 01:20:44.790

Oh, I am, I am.

Kash

01:20:44.790 - 01:20:50.160

This. Is that why you're stepping in shit all the time?

Jibbs

01:20:50.240 - 01:20:52.480

No, I use it. I use it.

Kash

01:20:52.640 - 01:21:20.880

I'm liking them, which is amazing healing. And I'm looking at my, at my mouse over UI and I'm just noticing Chunk, Chunk, chunk.

He's now at a quarter health and I'm like throwing bushels of leaves at him to heal him. And I look over and he's got one foot and half his body is, is an inferno. Get out of there.

Jibbs

01:21:20.960 - 01:21:27.440

I should download that add on gtfo, I think is the name of it. But anyway, no, he's sitting there burning.

Kash

01:21:27.520 - 01:21:30.480

He's burning, and he's like, this is fine. I'm fine.

Jibbs

01:21:30.800 - 01:21:31.760

Everything's fine.

Kash

01:21:31.920 - 01:21:32.960

No problem here.

Jibbs

01:21:33.120 - 01:21:46.920

You know, it's oddly. Oddly enough, I can go handle PvP all day long and just get my face beat and not think a thing of it. But, yeah, you moment.

You put me in a mythic, and I'm trying to chuck and get jive and I'm trying to like, you know, I feel like Ron Burgundy afterwards, he's like, boy,

Ron Burgundy Sound Clip

01:21:47.720 - 01:21:49.160

That escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand fast. It jumped up a notch. It did, didn't it? That escalated quickly.

Jibbs

01:21:58.440 - 01:21:58.800

Yeah.

Kash

01:21:58.800 - 01:22:04.040

That is. That is mythics. Especially some of those hierarchies. Like, first pull.

Jibbs

01:22:04.360 - 01:22:05.880

I'm just like, screw that.

Kash

01:22:06.040 - 01:22:11.390

Dumping every single cooldown. I have just the pull party a lot, dude.

Jibbs

01:22:11.390 - 01:22:35.710

Yeah. Holy cow. We did that 10 the other day. And I walked away from it just like, I was sweating. I, like, I needed to shower.

Like, I'm just like, oh, my gosh.

I feel like that meme, that kid, where he's just like sitting there and he's like, his face is beat red and his sweat's dripping down his face, and he's just like, oh, my gosh. I gotta control. That's what it felt like in this freaking dungeon. Oh, man.

Kash

01:22:36.120 - 01:23:22.690

Oh, man. It's. It is the beauty of World of Warcraft when you have a game that you can literally. This is going to be an.

In an ongoing theme when we talk about World of Warcraft as well. You have a game where you can go and you can pick flowers, you can.

You can play with pets, you can collect things, and you can min max your character on the other end of the spectrum to the 0.1% of increases in whatever stat you pick. Pick a stat and you can do that. So the game is incredibly basic, all the way to incredibly complex in every single bullet point in between.

Jibbs

01:23:22.690 - 01:23:23.130

Yep.

Kash

01:23:23.130 - 01:23:27.090

And I think that's the beauty of the game that we play.

Jibbs

01:23:27.250 - 01:23:49.820

I couldn't agree. I couldn't agree more. That's basically perfectly said. And, folks, this Q and A, it just keeps going. Like, we're not even done yet.

And it's just massive. Heck, we didn't even get to snark this week. Like, it's just so much to go through, which honestly gives us more to even talk about next week.

But you know what, folks, what we're going to do here is we're going to take a quick Commercial break. Then we'll be back to close out the show.

Commercial (Mr. Grizzle's Neighborhood)

01:23:56.470 - 01:24:43.420

Well, hello there, neighbor. Welcome to Mr. Grizzle's neighborhood where the streets are paved with opportunity and maybe a few loose nails. Here we've got everything you need.

Slightly used armor, almost fresh bread, and a warranty that lasts well, until I skip town, I'm okay. And get off my lawn, you freeloading Murlocs. Go blub somewhere else.

Every day it's the same kids stealing my mailbox adventurers, using my hedges as target practice. And don't get me started on the gnome selling knockoff gadgets across the street. That one wasn't me.

So come into Mr. Grizzle's neighborhood where the neighbors aren't always nice.

Jibbs

    • Example: Parhelion Plaza (defense of the Sunwell).

    • Companion: Valeera Sanguinar, with DPS, Healer, and Tank roles.

Dungeons (8+)

  • Windrunner Spire → Explore the haunted Windrunner family estate, resolve restless spirits (Lirath, Sylvanas’ brother).

  • Other dungeons:

    • Magister’s Terrace, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, Maisara Caverns, Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, Nexus-Point Xenas.

Raids (3)

  1. The Voidspire → Confront six bosses at the heart of the Void.

  2. The Dreamrift → Battle an undreamt god and twisted abominations.

  3. March on Quel’Danas → Face Belo’ren, the Void-corrupted phoenix, guarding unknown horrors deeper within.

New Class Specialization

  • Devourer Demon Hunters (mid-range DPS).

    • Rip Void fragments to fuel devastating abilities (Void Scythe, Void Ray, Reap, Collapsing Star).

    • New animations, mechanics, and Void-infused playstyle.

New Allied Race

  • Haranir (primal jungle dwellers of Harandar).

    • Classes: Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Monk, Druid (unique Druid forms).

    • Racial ability: travel via World Tree roots across Azeroth.

New Feature: Prey

  • Run by Astalor Bloodsworn in Silvermoon.

  • Hunt powerful targets called Prey for rewards (cosmetics, mounts, housing items).

  • Difficulties: Normal, Hard, Nightmare.

  • Includes Torments (personal debuffs like damage zones, spirits, time-limit kills).

Housing (Major New System)

  • Fully customizable homes with Advanced Mode (scale, rotate, float items).

  • Crafting integration → all professions can craft décor, new lumber gathering resource.

  • Exterior & interior customization with themes (Orc, Human, Blood Elf, Night Elf at launch).

  • Neighborhoods: shared housing zones with biomes (guild/private/public).

  • Endeavors: monthly community activities with rewards.

  • Launches December this year.

Closing

  • Midnight is the second chapter of the Worldsoul Saga, darker and higher stakes.

  • Heroes will battle across Quel’Danas, Zul’Aman, Harandar, and Voidstorm to save Azeroth from Xal’atath.

  • Core highlights: new zones, Delves, dungeons, raids, Haranir allied race, Devourer DH spec, Prey system, and Housing.

Midnight Expansion Q&A

Housing

  • Faction exteriors clarified: Neighborhood exteriors match location (Stormwind/Orgrimmar). Private neighborhoods can be cross-faction, but visuals reflect the zone.

  • Pets/Mounts in housing: Battle pets not at launch (pathing tech needed); planned shortly after. Mount display (e.g., hitching post) planned after launch. Hunter pets unlikely (character-specific vs. account-wide system).

  • Trading Post décor: Not selling housing décor for the first few months—plenty of other sources (achievements, crafting, campaign, etc.).

  • Moving plots: Your house packs into an “arcane ball” and redeploys exactly as placed anywhere you move.

  • Guilds & neighborhoods: Expect guild neighborhoods to be the big “guild update” in Midnight (social hub + Endeavors). Wider guild system refresh = future goal.

  • Profession décor: Décor grants skill-ups in the relevant expansion track (availability by recipe/complexity).

  • Functional bookshelves: Bookshelves at launch; functional storage/display is a requested idea (not at launch).

  • Private/charter min size (tentative): 10 players to charter (subject to tuning for tech/perf).

  • Decor source list: A blog + in-game info coming (and visible in alpha) so players can pre-hunt requirements.

  • Alts wandering in home: Not planned at launch (same pathing hurdles), but on the table post-launch.

  • Philosophy: Ship v1, then grow based on player feedback.

Customization & Races

  • Older race updates: New Darkspear hairstyles + skin colors via Zul’Aman campaign; more updates rolled out over time to reach parity across races.

  • Haranir Druid forms: Quill motifs; Bear (pangolin-bear), Feral (wolverine), Balance (quilled owl/boomkin), Swim (axolotl).

  • Allied race selection: Narrative fit + long-term art/rigging cost. High bar for brand-new rigs; shared rigs ease support.

  • Haranir unlock timing: Not unlockable during the 3-day early access.

Prey System

  • Zone difficulty: Your chosen Prey difficulty buffs all enemies for you in that zone (Nightmare = much harder).

  • Grouping: Normal mode allows outside help; Hard/Nightmare require solo final kill.

  • Rewards/Vault: Treated similarly to Delves for Great Vault’s world row (details to come).

PvP

  • Onboarding: New Training Grounds—BGs vs. game-controlled opponents as an on-ramp for PvP-curious players.

  • Season rewards: Top-tier rating cutoff lowered from 2400 → 2300 in S1 Midnight; more reward structure tweaks likely in patches.

  • War Mode playground: New large War Mode area in Voidstorm (mirrors Slayer’s Rise), packed with WM activities/objectives; PvP-themed content even if WM off.

Add-ons & UI

  • API change: Removing real-time combat state access for add-ons (level playing field; no “run to diamond” automation). Difficulty tuned to feel similar overall.

  • Built-in tools: Native boss timers/alerts, nameplates, cooldown manager, and improved raid frames (healer HoTs, key debuffs, etc.).

  • Aesthetic customization stays: Add-ons can still style (fonts, colors, layout); they just can’t read/drive combat logic.

  • Day-one add-ons: Expect breakage in early alpha (normal for new expac). Add-on authors invited early to iterate.

Delves

  • Story integration: Campaign uses specific Delve variants with tailored objectives; Delves continue to have multiple variants.

  • Variety upgrades: New outdoor Delves (use ground mounts), Valeera as follower (more combat-focused).

  • Removed mechanics: No underwater Delves and no “toss the candle/totem repeatedly” mechanics in Midnight.

Lore & Zones

  • Windrunners: More perspective on Lirath and his sisters in the Voidspire arc; deeper family insights.

  • Trolls: Initial focus on some groups (Amani, etc.); broader troll unity threads in patches.

  • Tauren/Ana: Tauren mythos likely explored later (hinted toward The Last Titan); Sunwalker Dezco appears during Arator’s story.

  • Draenei/Forsaken: Midnight centers blood elves & trolls; Draenei present but not spotlighted. EK updated connections (tunnel); Forsaken characters (e.g., Alonsus Faol) appear.

World Revamp & Elven Lines

  • Revamp approach: No “revamp everything at once.” Preference is reimagining iconic zones as part of new stories (e.g., Ever-/Ghostlands, Silvermoon).

  • Elven tribes: Expect learning more about elves & relationships (incl. Quel’dorei) without deep spoilers.

Classes & Progression

  • New specs: No new tank/heal specs in Midnight; Devourer DH (void-themed, ranged-leaning DPS) is the focus.

  • Visual updates: New Apex talents have flashy VFX (e.g., Aug Evoker bronze-future self; Frost Mage Hand of Frost). Older VFX get touched up in patches.

  • Void/Light theming: Shadow Priest gets Tentacle Slam (replaces Shadow Crash). Disc Void Shield (Apex).

  • Support role: Aug Evoker remains support; goal = fun & viable without being mandatory. Future support specs possible if balance lands.

  • Follower dungeons with Warband: Desired, but not for Midnight (tech hurdles; Training Grounds moves tech forward).

  • Player power upgrades: Valor Stones REMOVED in Midnight; crests remain, with clearer pairing to upgrade tracks.

  • Legendaries: None planned for Tier 1 Midnight; leggos remain special/story-driven, may appear later if narratively fitting.

Reputations & Warbands

  • Warband rep backfill: Team acknowledges slow progress; plan to resume converting older reps to warband over time (no firm timetable).

Community & Conduct

  • Toxicity: Better reporting/monitoring continues. Big push on pro-social matchmaking so like-minded groups find each other (align expectations, reduce friction).

Fun Reveals

  • Mini-game questing: Amani Abyss “troll-style fishing” activity in Zul’Aman.

  • Loa: Felo, the capybara Loa of children (with the proper bling).

Timing Notes

  • Alpha: Midnight alpha testing very soon (per Q&A wrap).
