Went back to Mechagon island, which was super fun with you guys.

And then I ended up going back just to power out some more rep because there were some things that I wanted for a certain karaoke stage in a certain tavern in someone's certain home. So in your spotlights. I needed spotlights, buddy.

And it was really fun. So, yeah, scouring the earth, trying to find smaller items like mugs. I didn't even know those were a thing in the game yet for housing.

And it turns out they are because I break into my neighbor's homes and look at all of their stu and one of our friends had mugs and I was like, where did you get the mugs? Like, I have a tavern, dude. I need these. So anyway, if you didn't know, fun fact. There is an NPC in your garrison that you can find.

Because I talked to every person in my garrison before I found this fine, upstanding drinker. He's a day drinker. He's in your garrison in your tavern, and he's sitting in a chair at a table. At least that's where he was when I found him.

But he sells wooden mugs. So now my tavern has, I don't know, probably like 20 mugs or something like that.

I started working the auction house trying to make some money because I spent no less than well over 100k gold. I was down to literally my last 1200. And I want to say it was like 86 gold left. And I'm now at this point where I'm like, hey, we have a problem.

Like I'm. I need. I can't transmog with this. That's two outfits. How's that gonna work for me?

So at this point I'm like, I had bought some things and I was Working through inscription on some things, and I'm like, you know what? I can craft decor items. Let's just go. Let's just put everything on black and just bet on black and see what happens.

And lo and behold, I've been able to turn that 1200 gold into 130,000 gold over the course of about 48 to 72 hours. So I was pretty stoked about that one.

And I started getting into the housing side of alchemy a bit, and. And it turns out that I can make a couple of actually really cool things besides dyes. Right. I can make dyes, and I've kind of been doing that.

One of our friends in the guild gave me a bunch of the inscription items that I need for dyes.

So I was able to go back and make a bunch of dyes. But I also found that I can make the hot tubs. I think they're hot tub or something like that.

So I can do that. And then I can make, like, an alchemy item. Like, if you're.

If you want to have, like, a lab or something, I can make an item for that too, which is kind of cool. But the hot tubs, I was like, oh, these are going to sell like hotcakes.

So I started doing that, and I posted my first one up, and I think it was like, 11,000 gold or something like that that they were selling for. Didn't sell it. And I checked about 24 hours later, it had fallen off the. Off the auction house. And I was like, what the heck, man?

It's like, how is it not selling?

I posted it for lower than within the highest bid, and it turns out that we got undercut pretty hard in that market, and they were down to, like, 9,000 today. So I posted it up, and then I was able to sell that one. So I'm probably gonna keep on keeping on with that. But it takes a lot of resources.

I was able to find a route and I'm not going to say where on the air because that. Well, you know what? Yeah, I can. Because everyone, it's not like everyone gets a piece of the pie. It's over in Hollowfall.

There's a spot over by where the world event is with the. Oh gosh, what's their name? The Flame. The, the, the, the.

The world quest that pops up every like 20 minutes and everyone can be a part of the new event. It was a part of the, one of the patches. I forget the name. Someone is listening and screaming it. I'm sorry.

But anyway, you're basically doing a giant L shaped like circular kind of route right in that area and it just keeps popping and popping. You can have a hundred lumber in about 30 minutes.

And it, you know, it's just mindless, you know, because you're like you said, listening to Spotify or you're just, you know, I was having a meeting the other night for some role play things and you know, just while shooting the breeze, I'm sitting there farming away like with, you know, and it was easy.

It's so much fun and relaxing and, and yeah, it's interesting because when you start working the market, like you said, you know, like it's, I'm choosing to buy all the, the things to make these items because it would just take too long for me to farm them all. And by the time I do all the, the, the calculations and everything, I come out ahead on all that stuff. But I think that's definitely part of it too.

Like whenever you're getting involved in. Because this is essentially gold making, you know. And I, I, you and I both have never been gold makers.

Like people who really focus down on that thing, you know, and farm for hours and put it up for sale.

And that's not particularly our loop and it's been kind of fun stepping into that even though, you know, like it's a little tough in the markets and I have no doubt yours will sell for sure.

And it's kind of a neat, like little side hobby. And a lot of people do that in real life and actually make real money and are actually, you know, fruitful in their efforts or not.

But it's pretty cool to be able to do it in a game where it's just like, yeah, whatever, if I lose a little bit of money then then who cares? But you know, there are certainly items on there. Like one of our good buddies used to do that. He would just flip items.

But Heroes calls back this week and one of the things I found that I really enjoyed, we love to highlight cool things that people are doing out there, something that might be a little bit different than the mainstream. And we found that this week in a grassroots guild with a philosophy of charity and kindness.

And this guild is known as the Order of the Righteous, also known as the RAO Guild. R A O K. And this guild identifies itself as a charity guild rather than a raiding or say a PVP guild.

They like to focus on helping new players and performing random acts of kindness, which is where the RAO come from. Comes from. And I love this. They also support real life charities such as the American Cancer Society and the Red Cross.

So they take the community in the palm of their hands and they support, they support inclusivity, they support altruism over things like competition. They spend a lot of their time helping other players, discouraging that elitist behavior that some of us encounter in dungeons and such.

And they aim for that non elitist environment.

So directly from their guild recruitment post, it says, quote, we're recruiting people that wish to dedicate themselves to older values than were often times founded in vanilla. Wow.

Such as being charitable, helping the community, giving back to people, promoting selflessness, and comforting or conforming to a non elitist environment. We firmly believe in the ideals of the past and place our banners firmly in every location of the world to symbolize what we stand for.

This is fantastic. It. It really is. And when we've.

We've led guilds in the past and there's been a lot of this, particularly the Guild Lore Seekers that we ran for Elder Scrolls Online. We would literally do a night where we would just go out and advertise in like area chat.

It's, it's leading with kindness and you know, like the, the stuff that they talk about, the core values of unity, charity, honor. I mean, I, I love that sort of thing. It's. I, I believe that firmly in all things in Warcraft.

You know, honestly, as time has went on, particularly lately, even more so. And this is coming from someone who is a die hard pvper basically in any mmo.

Like, I enjoy the thrill of competition, but like after just dealing with so much toxicity, particularly recently when it comes to PvP, I'm just like, you know, I don't know if I'm older now. Like that, that bothers me now, you know. And so it's just like I've personally had this shift to, to make sure I'm always being kind.

I mean, I always was, but I mean just now more so than ever, just making sure I'm being kind to the people I come in contact with and whatever content I'm doing, which has been basically PvE now. And it's just like I love this, I love this vibe. I love what they stand for. And it's, it's awesome. I mean, it's awesome.

When you start as a new character in Guild Wars 2, you'd be running around like the starter areas and stuff and there's a lot of things going on in, in that game right off the bat. Like it's just there's so much windows and all kinds of stuff and you're trying to figure out where you're at.

And I'd be running around these newbie areas and there would be. I thought it was an NPC at first. It was A character there with a little apple over their head.

And it wasn't an NPC is an actual player who voluntarily takes on the role of new player helper. And this person would, would start typing into chat, you know, come and see me and I'll, I'll get you started and you know, provide you with a gift.

So, okay, so you show up over there and the person would, would give you some gold to get started and they would give you a bag like for your inventory. Right. And everybody knows that inventory is like the hardest thing when you start with like eight slots.

I don't know what do we started start with in Warcraft? Six tiny speck of a bag.

And it's funny because for me, as I've gotten a little bit older, I have a. I have a pretty loud personality. And not like I'm obnoxious loud, but, like, I'm an extrovert. I 100. I'm an extrovert in. In real life. So I don't. I'll talk to anybody. I don't mind.

But at the same time, like, when I was a kid, I was bullied in certain aspects of when I was a kid. So as I started to get. I started to get a little bit older, like, into my, like, late teens and early twenties. I started to. I was working out hard.

I started to put on some muscle. And I'm a tall guy. I'm a big guy. I used to be tall and, like, super lanky.

And then all of a sudden, you know, all these body changes started happening, and I started becoming a bit of a bigger guy. And I remember when I was getting into my career, the one thing I told myself was, I will never be bullied again, ever.

So I went through this period in my life where instead of, like, if somebody crossed me or they were, I would just stand right up to it and be like, absolutely not. And. And sometimes. Sometimes it get me in trouble.

Sometimes in a bar, it might get me in trouble, but I just wouldn't put up with people's crap, you know, Just like, no, like, you're not gonna cross me that way.

My husband was a tailor and wanted to contribute. We hit it off immediately and got married in real life in December 2005. So, yes, this year is our 20th anniversary and it all started in Azeroth.

Now Kaivax, the community manager over on the official Warcraft forums, took to the forums and made the post. And here is some of the details. So Blizzard pushed out two quick housing updates following the launch of Patch 11.2. 0.7.

Housing Elevation Controls added. Now this has been all over social media. It was. I believe it was. It was either a bug or like something accidental that was left in.

Regardless, players started making their houses float and doing fun things with it, like making their house built into the center of a mech that they built.

It looks like something you'd see out of Warhammer 40K or something like, I mean they were just going hog wild, mages having floating homes, all that stuff. Well, instead of taking it out, Blizzard's like, hey, we're going to support this. And so they have completely updated the UI to help support that.

Now granted like the bottoms of homes aren't modeled and you know, like they'll have to make sure and get a walkway or something up to that home. But yeah, no longer have a. They now have the UI to support it. That's awesome.

I know you've already enjoyed this, but the outdoor decor cap felt too restrictive. Like that was the main feedback they were seeing. And it was originally set to 200 as far as items on the outside for performance reasons.

And so after reviewing the live data, Blizzard was like, hey. They were confident that they could raise the limit.

So the new exterior limit is now at 250, which is up 25% and devs will continue monitoring performance as housing features roll out. This is a win.

They were talking about this and the reasons why there was a cap on it and it had something to do with the lighting. The lighting is too intensive on the systems and there's probably another reason why there.

Why you can't have a lot of lighting items outside of your house at the moment. Yeah, it's because it's a heavy. It's heavy on the resources for the game engine.

So already it seems as they're working on it, you know, they've already bumped it up 200 slots, which is great. I haven't touched the OR, I'm sorry. They bumped it up 50 slots.

I haven't touched it yet because I'm still kind of working on the inside and trying to touch grass and do other things in the world right now. So I haven't finished. I haven't even finished my house. But another 50 slots is going to be amazing for. For the things that I want to do. So thank you.

Do you have a tip? I have a tip. And this was 100% trial and error and we ended up finding it out.

So if you're on the alliance side and I would assume it's the same for the Horde side.

My original design of my exterior, I had pavers going from my property line to the front of my house and I was placing the single small stones or the ones that were broken so it looked like a walkway up to my house. That was incredibly heavy on the ticket system for my exterior. Like it took a lot of my slots up to do that.

The quick fix is if you go to those shady vendors in your home area that sells Items from the opposite faction. One of them sells an actual walkway that takes up one slot.

So if you did what I did and you have tons of those little stones inset into your grass, you can pull all those up, retain a bunch of slots, and then just go act. Go by the actual walkways, and you can save a whole bunch of slots that way.

The first few days was really tough because I was so 100% addicted into just getting my house into a place to where I'm like, okay, now I can slowly work on it. And I have everything that's set. My algorithm is nothing but character art that people are drawing or crafting for their RP characters and housing. That's all. That's literally showing up and seeing all the fun things that people are making. It's.

It really is one of the most amazing additions to this game in many years. And it's.

You're seeing the success of it with so many people who just fall in love with it, you know, and admittedly it's completely changed my, my gameplay loop. Honestly, like it really has in a good way, in a healthy way.

So I mentioned earlier about, you know, and honestly I was just doing PvP whenever, like if I was trying to push for a rating or something, but honestly it was just kind of like that thing for fun for me. And as the toxicity eventually just got to me one day and I'm like, okay, you know, like we're, we're done here with this.

This isn't how I want to enjoy my time in Azeroth.

You know, that was before housing dropped and then as housing dropped and I saw myself more and more engrossed into housing, it's just like completely changed my. How I play the game.

So like, unless I'm doing like, unless we're chasing, choosing to do like a mythic or something, you know, like with some friends of ours, like, I'm totally cozy playing this game. I may relax, do a dungeon or something. But honestly, it's been housing. It's.

I've had now, I think three or four role play sessions at my actual house, which has been fun and it's been so good for that community. The. The addition of housing because you're in this brand new neighborhood, you know, and in your home, the thing that you've built.

And so your character is involved in that sort of thing. And so it's just added a whole nother dynamic to the RP element and it's a blast.

And honestly my gameplay loop now is total cozy and really just collecting.

And I, I never thought that I would see myself, honestly, as a collector, but housing is definitely like the first step that's really brought that out of me. So, yeah, it's completely, honestly changed my gameplay. 100.

All right. We have casual Ketchup corner, which is a segment friends, that is going to help you if you're not quite sure what to do, as we just talked about.

But if you're looking to either level characters or get some gear upgrades before Midnight comes out, this is going to help you to become as powerful as possible when Midnight actually launches, which is going to make things easier as you're leveling and is going to lessen the need for you to get new gear when that new content comes. Even though you're still going to get new gears, you get closer to level cap and that's going to become a thing.

Like when you're around three levels past the the new cap, you're you're going to be replacing gear pretty quick.

But for right now, if you're just looking to bring some characters up, some alts, or if you're just looking to gear up, there's some really good ways to do that, like crazy ways to do that.

Right now I would say the number one way to level up and gear up is the turbulent timeways event which is going on, which is basically time walking dungeons right now. And the reason being is because there's a stacking buff per dungeon.

You do a stacking buff, you get 5% more on that on this dungeon, 5% more on your next dungeon. And as soon as you hit Four dungeons. On the Time Walking, you will get a buff called Mastery of the Timeways.

And this grants a 30% XB puff XP buff that lasts three hours. And then every time you do another Time Walking dungeon, it refreshes that three hours, so it's a flat 30% buff.

So that turbulent Timeways buff is going to stack with any additional War Band experience bonuses that you may have earned on your characters. And if you're really feeling frosty, turn on War Mode. You'll get an extra 10%. More than likely you'll be left alone.

But no guarantees, because if, if it's red, it's dead, people probably still kill you, but. And then on top of that, so. So you can get like a crazy amount of XP percentage bonuses.

And on top of that, Blizzard nerfed the amount of experience that you need from level 70 to level 80 by like 75%. They nerfed the hell out of it. So if you're looking to level quickly, this is the way to do it.

And if you're doing Time Walking Dungeons, you're going to get gear that's commensurate for that level and it's going to help you a ton to gear up for Midnight.

As an example, the other night we ran some dungeons with my daughter, who was level 33 when she started, and I think we did three time walking dungeons and she was like, level 45.

But like, do you want to level quickly or do you want to just like do quests and kind of do stuff on your own and learn the game? And she's like, I had a lot of fun doing that with you guys, but I kind of just want to level at my own pace and yeah, learn the game.

And I was just like, that's good. You can't teach them. She wants to stop and smell the rose.

And I think she also said, she said, I want to learn the Warlock. And I was like, yeah, she's. She's going to be playing this game for years. So, yeah, super cool.

The other thing that you can do is that the Turbo Boost event, which went live over a month ago, is still live. So. So if you're looking to do that one, you can still get gear from that.

And the way you do that is you go to the bank of Dornagal and there's a quest that's on a poster right outside the bank. You grab that quest, you defeat any four bosses within Manafort Omega, which is the raid, and you can do it on. You do it.

You have to do it on normal or higher, though you can't lfr this one. So you're gonna have to go into the Group Finder or have a group of your friends that's gonna go. Or any four mythic dungeons.

I know it's scary, but you can also do Mythic Zeros, which is like, which is the base level of. Of Mythics, and they will count for this.

So you take the quest, you finish the quest, and the very first one that you do, the very first quest that you complete, you'll get three Puzzling Cartel chips, which, once you complete it, just to the right of where you picked up that quest, there's a vendor there, and you can get items from that. Then a lot of those items scale, but there's still some higher level items that you can get from there to help gear your character up.

Now, the cool thing about the Puzzling Cartel Chips and this particular quest is that it's repeatable.

So you can take the quest again and go do another four bosses in Manaforge or another four mythic dungeons, and you'll get another Puzzling Cartel chip.

So kind of take note, the first one gives you three Puzzling Cartel chips, and every successive time you do that repeatable quest, you'll get one Cartel chip. But it is grindable. You have some time, and you're looking to get some gear, this is a really, really good way to catch up.

Now, when it comes to upgrading your gear, your ethereal crests now have no cap. So you can grind those out to your heart's content.

Just do dungeon after dungeon after dungeon and get those so that you can level your gear all the way up. And when I say level your gear, I mean doing the gear upgrades.

So they're eight of eight instead of, you know, like some of my stuff was hovering at like 4 of 8. I just did a bunch of dungeons, and now most of my stuff's like 8 of 8 or 7 of 8.

So that will give you the maximum amount of gear level for the pieces that you. That you have. The other thing is delves, which I've really been lacking on lately because of a certain house.

But if, if you Find yourself able to get to tier 9 or above on Delves. Then you'll have access to a vendor inside at the end of the delve who will sell heroic trinkets.

So the other thing is too, if you have a lot of that Shrieking Quartz that drops when you're doing delves, use them because you place them down, it's going to lure the Nemesis out.

Regardless of whether or not you die from the Nemesis, you are still going to get a piece of Champion level gear and a Delver's Bounty, which you can turn in at the Delver's Tent. Which is good. The Delver's Bounty, it activates guarantees a hidden trove at the end of your next delve. Actually, not the next. You can.

You can hit the the Delver's Bounty in the middle of your delve and that hidden trove will show up at the end of your delve. So one last thing on Delves at the end of Delves now you will also get something called an untainted monocrystal.

You can get up to 125 of these per week. And that is a currency that you'll need to buy those heroic level trinkets from the vendor at the end of your delves.

So anyway, my mouth is now dry because that is a metric crap ton of ways to increase your character level. Level your characters up to get ready for midnight. Any questions?

Get connected to that character. There's something to be said about a leveling immersion that doesn't get talked about enough.

When you can slow down leveling and really get to know your character. That's. That's fantastic. And yeah, there's. There's a lot of great ways. You know, I know a lot of the content that G's talked about.

Oftentimes just the word alone can be very intimidating to a lot of people. So if you don't have friends, find a Let you game with. Find a good guild that someone that can help you and help you get through this content.

Because I was. The other day I was. I reached out to somebody, one of my role play friends and we were talking about. They were in Remix.

This Granted, this is not retail. You know, it's Remix. But however, it's just like they were nervous about doing a raid. They'd never done a raid before.

Took them through night, hold through Remix. They had a blast like they did. They crushed it. Like, see, look what you can do. You can do this. And so like, it was just, it's awesome.

So folks, if you know somebody who's trying to level something or maybe they, they need help, they maybe they're nervous about something, offer help. See, see how you can help your fellow gamer. Because yeah, now's the time to definitely, you know, get involved and take advantage of stuff.

So we thought we'd help you out with a few little tips and tricks on how to maximize your gameplay during Winter Veil. Good morning Azeroth. And pull your cloaks a little tighter. The snow is falling in Ironforge. The inns smell like fresh bread and pine.

And that can only mean one thing. A Feast of Winter Veil is almost here.

Whether you're a seasoned holiday hero or this is your first time spotting a suspicious, generous goblin in a red suit.

Here are five top tips to prepare for the Feast of Winter Veil so you can spend less time scrambling and more time celebrating. Clear your bag space. Seriously, Winter Veil is generous, almost aggressively generous.

Presents, food, costumes, pets, toys, and the occasional why do I still have this item?

Before the event starts, take a few minutes to clean out your backs, vendor junk mail, crafting mats to an alt, or toss everything into your warband bank. Future you, buried in gifts under the Great Father's tree, will be grateful.

Tip 2 Be ready to cook the Feast of Wintervale comes with classic holiday cooking quests. And nothing kills festive vibes faster than realizing you're missing ingredients. So stock up on supplies.

Things you can gather now like ice cold milk from food vendors and small eggs you can harvest from birds like Lock Buzzards near Ironforge and Flesh Rippers in Westfall. Bonus points if you level up classic cooking now.

If it's not already done, trust me, it helps a lot to make sure you're maxed out before the event starts. Winter Veil food is fast, festive and oddly comforting, even in pixel form. Know where to be on Gift Day Every year someone forgets to do this.

Don't be that hero on Wintervale Gift Day say presents appear under the trees in both Ironforge and Orgrimmar. You don't need a quest, you just show up. So it's a good idea to park your characters there so you can grind the event to your heart's content.

Set a calendar reminder, log in that day and grab your gifts. Free pets, toys and holiday cheer are a rare thing in Azeroth. You don't want to miss out.

Tip number four Farm holiday reputation and achievements Casually. Winter Veil achievements are sneaky.

A few are time gated, some require specific quests, and others are tied to silly little traditions you only notice once a year. Check the achievement list early, especially if you're chasing titles like the Merrymaker or other meta achievements. You don't need to rush.

Just sprinkle a little holiday progress onto your regular playtime and let the cheer build naturally. Tip number five Embrace the cozy side of Azeroth. Winter Veil isn't about parsing or pushing or perfect rotations.

It's about sitting in an inn, wearing a ridiculous costume, throwing snowballs at friends and remembering that Azeroth is a world meant to be lived in. Take screenshots, visit old capitals, log in and just wander. The event is short, but the memories last a lot longer.

So clear your bags, prep your pantry, mark your calendar, and slow things down just a bit. The feast of Winter veil starts on December 15, runs until January 2, and Azeroth is running ready to celebrate.
