Jibbs
00:00:52.540 - 00:01:05.480
And good Tuesday morning, everybody. Welcome. This is Azeroth Morning Radio. Happy to have you all here with us. We are your hosts. My name's Jibs, and I'm joined by Kash
Kash
00:01:05.480 - 00:01:12.040
Hey, what's going on, everybody? That was. That was funny. We had the giggles when we were starting the show.
Jibbs
00:01:12.520 - 00:01:13.000
Yeah.
Kash
00:01:13.080 - 00:01:16.800
And the old gods were choking you out, it sounded like.
Jibbs
00:01:16.800 - 00:01:23.320
Did you hear that? Oh, my gosh. It's like my voice was, like, fading in and out and like, ugh. It was terrible.
Goblins
00:01:23.640 - 00:01:24.760
Bunch of amateurs.
Kash
00:01:25.400 - 00:01:26.280
Glad you're okay.
Jibbs
00:01:26.460 - 00:01:31.660
No, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. How are you? How goes?
Heroes Call Bumper
00:01:31.660 - 00:01:32.140
I'm good.
Kash
00:01:32.700 - 00:01:54.530
I am great. It has been a fantastic week.
Even though I had work, I had some very good progressive things in the professional life and some very good progressive things in the sit on my butt at home and play video games life. I have a story to tell.
Jibbs
00:01:54.530 - 00:01:55.490
I'll go on.
Kash
00:01:56.210 - 00:02:16.130
You already know this, but the people do not know this. I was approached by my daughter about a week and a half ago, and she said, dad, I would like to play World of Warcraft with you.
Jibbs
00:02:16.130 - 00:02:16.530
Aw.
Kash
00:02:17.090 - 00:04:37.670
And he said, what? So we proceeded to get the game installed on her PC. And so my daughter has. She's played several games in the past, but not MMOs.
She was more of a Fortnite Valorant horror movie or horror games. She. And she streamed for. For the better part of two years, I would say. She streamed and she did pretty dang good. And.
And it was mostly around Covid, which was. And she was much younger, which freaked me out a little bit as a dad.
You know, just like her shoulder watching, making sure nobody's making, you know, weird comments or anything while she was streaming. But she did really well. And so she's a gamer.
And lo and behold, we got World of Warcraft installed and we started going through character creation, and I was just like, I was in my element. I was so excited. I felt so bad for my wife because she's, like, downstairs working on a project.
Me and my daughter were up and up in her room, and I was getting, you know, helping her with classes and races and all the things, and I'm like, you can do this, and if you get bored, you can do this and you can do this.
So Anyway, she rolled a Draenei Warlock and I thought it was going to be like a one day thing and she was going to get in there and start playing and that was going to be it.
And I rolled a Hunter alongside of her, went through Newbie island together and then I had to leave the next day for, for work for a couple days and I kept checking my battle net and lo and behold, my daughter was in there soloing. She finished. We finished Newbie island together. I showed her around Elwyn a little bit, Stormwind a little bit.
And then she took off and just started soloing everything and she ended up, she ended up picking Borales. She picked. I could not believe that she picked that expansion. And because that is, as we've talked about it before on the show, that is Jibs and I's.
Those are our favorite zones in battle for Azeroth. And she picked it and she took off and she's. I think she's level 25 now.
Jibbs
00:04:38.400 - 00:04:38.960
That's awesome.
Kash
00:04:39.520 - 00:04:54.680
She's hopped into Discord with us and you know, a few times I'll like invite her to group and then cruise out there on my, on my Druid and I'll just like pick flowers while she's in the area playing. And then, you know, if I see she gets in trouble, I'll just run over and drop her some fat heels.
Jibbs
00:04:54.680 - 00:04:56.560
And do her thing.
Kash
00:04:57.280 - 00:05:07.050
But man, it has been, what a treat for a parent with a grown child that wants to play games with you.
Jibbs
00:05:07.210 - 00:05:07.850
Oh yeah.
Kash
00:05:07.850 - 00:05:58.380
My gosh, I've been waiting almost 22 years for this. Very, very cool. Yeah, man. So that was, that was a lot of my Warcraft time this week. The most of the rest of it.
I jumped back into retail as I talked about last week and got some things done. I got, I ran some Mythics, did all my weeklies, and then of course the latest Legion remix content came out this week and I hopped into that.
Now I'm just kind of plugging my way through the last part of Remix and my character is ridiculously powerful. So I'm not gonna lie, I'm just trying to get bronze so that I can finish off those collections. But I'm getting kind of bored.
Jibbs
00:06:00.060 - 00:06:05.220
What are we now, four weeks into this or a little more? A little more than four or five weeks.
Kash
00:06:05.860 - 00:06:30.610
The story's good though. I am enjoying that, seeing that again, which is. It's been a lot of fun.
I'm just kind of going through slowly and taking my time, but I really am looking forward to diving full force Back into retail, especially because, you know the kiddos there now. So, you know, like, we can run dungeons and we can do all kinds of stuff together. And I can show her the world of Azeroth.
Jibbs
00:06:30.850 - 00:07:22.590
Absolutely. Man, that's awesome. Wow. Yeah, that was a great week. Did a lot of RP this week. Heavy role play week for me. Heavy warlock week for me.
Continuing to Warlock's a fun one because I'm discovering that the more and more I play it, the more I'm obviously learning the class. But like, it's. It's like you're. It's like you're learning, but at the same time it's rewarding along the way.
So it's not like, well, you'll eventually get there. Eventually it'll be fun. It's like, no, it's fun along the way as you're learning. And so that's been a lot of fun.
Had a ton of fun just doing a ton of roleplay and stormwind and caught up with some old people, old folks that used to roleplay with and met up in game. It was a wonderful time seeing these folks. And honestly, yeah, that and the show, man, that didn't work.
Kash
00:07:23.550 - 00:07:34.400
When you say you caught up with some old people, are you talking about like some geriatrics or are you talking about friends that you had in the past and you're now doing a new roleplay thing together?
Jibbs
00:07:34.400 - 00:07:52.930
I should preface that. Yeah. So that was the second option. Yeah. So our characters met, met up after several months apart.
I didn't think they were playing anymore and there they were. And so wonderful reunion. It was a wonderful time. And anyway, yeah, man, that's it. Grinding.
Kash
00:07:52.930 - 00:08:08.690
I thought it was. Jibs now volunteers at a convalescent home and he's set up a land network healthcare for Azeroth.
He's got them all playing Warcraft, which, honestly, I have thought about this.
Jibbs
00:08:08.850 - 00:08:09.890
It would be great.
Kash
00:08:09.970 - 00:08:15.330
I will be playing games until my fingers go necrotic.
Jibbs
00:08:15.330 - 00:08:19.030
Well, I told your daughter to make sure she puts you in a home that has AOL dial up.
Kash
00:08:19.900 - 00:09:10.070
First of all, F word to you for telling her to put me in a home. There's that.
And second of all, I kind of, when I really get to thinking about it, I kind of wouldn't be that bummed because it'd be like I can wander out of my room, I can saunter down the hallway in my slippers and just be a grumpy pisser to everybody. They've made me breakfast, I can sit down and I can have my four Eggs and two pieces of bacon and one poodle turd of sausage.
And then I can saunter my way. I won't even pick my feet up in my slippers.
I'll just zip, zip, zip, zip, zip all the way back to my room, close the door, and log into Warcraft until they find me dead at my keyboard.
Jibbs
00:09:12.150 - 00:09:15.580
Oh gosh. Wow, that's hilarious.
Kash
00:09:15.740 - 00:09:17.020
It will have been a great life.
Jibbs
00:09:17.180 - 00:09:24.180
Jibs will have been a great life indeed. Yep, I'm gonna be beating on the other side of the wall, so I'm your neighbor in there telling you to.
Kash
00:09:24.180 - 00:09:25.900
Turn it down, grumpy old man.
Jibbs
00:09:28.060 - 00:09:48.870
Well, everybody, thank you so much for hanging out with us. This show is Warcraft for the rest of us. So the nine to fivers, the casuals, the parents, you love Warcraft and you love Azeroth.
But you grew up playing it and you simply grew up. The show is 100% for you friends. This week on the show. Well, actually it's episode nine.
We're one episode away from our first 10 episodes, so that's good.
Kash
00:09:48.870 - 00:09:49.910
We're nine years old.
Jibbs
00:09:49.910 - 00:09:55.590
We're nine years old. You know, Azeroth just can now drink legally. It's 21 years old. That's the thing.
Kash
00:09:55.590 - 00:09:59.030
Oh, we should tote well, because there's world soul there.
Jibbs
00:09:59.350 - 00:10:00.070
That's true.
Kash
00:10:00.710 - 00:10:02.070
We should get her drunk.
Goblins
00:10:03.110 - 00:10:03.990
Red flag.
Kash
00:10:06.710 - 00:10:09.950
Seriously, we should feed her whiskey.
Jibbs
00:10:09.950 - 00:10:28.080
Oh my gosh. Can you imagine that in a theoretical. Well, never mind. That's a rabbit hole.
But anyway, this week on the show folks, we got running on the gnomes, a brand new rp Add on role players need to know about six man groups. What? And so much more. But we'll be right back after this commercial break.
Goblins
00:10:30.960 - 00:10:32.000
Hey, hurry up.
Jibbs
00:10:32.720 - 00:10:34.000
Yee haw.
Goblins
00:10:34.720 - 00:11:37.710
All right adventurers, gather round, gather round. Welcome to Nizfix's used Bruto lot. Home of the finest slightly pre owned Brutosaurs in the known world. Aw, sit tight, buddies.
They're so cute, you just want to boop their little noses. I said shut up. Well, look at this beauty. Gemmed harnesses, sparkling stone, a slightly used 20th anniversary edition. And yes, we spared no expense.
Yeah, they're pre owned, but definitely cheaper than the 21st year models. I mean, who the hell can afford a new one? Am I right? Prices? Well, only slightly more than a gnome's wettest dream. This one's a steal at.
Well, let's just say you might need a second job or a dip into grandpappy's pension to cover it. But come on, can you really put a price on a broodosaur that carries all your shit. You crappy friends.
Heroes Call Bumper
00:11:37.950 - 00:11:40.110
You dance good.
Goblins
00:11:40.590 - 00:12:34.460
And a fast talking auctioneer. Guaranteed to lowball all your bids. And check this out. We got dozens of Brutosaurs. Some shiny, some rusty. One that sneezes coins.
One that smells of rich mahogany, Imron burgundy. And that deluxe model. That one survived the cataclysm two raids and the very unfortunate undermined vehicle wreck.
Not even a salvage title after all of that. Totally fine. I swear. Now let me tell you something. These beasties go from flat footed to 20 miles per hour in six minutes flat.
So even the most well fit fat adventurers feel like a high seas champion. Or at least marginally less than a turtle at full throttle. Speaking of which, we got those too.
Jibbs
00:12:37.580 - 00:12:38.540
Yahoo.
Goblins
00:12:39.100 - 00:13:16.290
So come on down to Nizfix's used brutal lot. Pick your own slightly used overpriced brutasaur today. We promise not to laugh at you if you try to haggle a better price.
And remember, they're slightly terrifying, slightly majestic and completely goblin approved. And if one of our Brontos happens to have a dead gnome stuck in its hoof. Consider it a bonus option. On the house. Hey, come to Nisfixus.
No discounts accepted. We don't take no credit, no incentives and definitely don't give no warranties. And as those big belly dwarves say, see you soon.
Jibbs
00:13:19.810 - 00:13:30.450
All right everybody, welcome back Azeroth morning radio. Here in your Azeroth morning. So let's go ahead and get started with the hero's call.
Heroes Call Bumper
00:13:32.530 - 00:13:33.570
Hero's call.
Kash
00:13:34.050 - 00:13:36.770
I always feel so powerful when I hear that voice.
Jibbs
00:13:36.930 - 00:13:38.450
That's what you get from that is power.
Kash
00:13:39.010 - 00:13:39.890
Well, it's my voice.
Jibbs
00:13:39.890 - 00:13:45.260
I feel like you're mid. So I feel like you're like mid grunt. Like mid poop. And you're like letting it out.
Kash
00:13:45.500 - 00:13:57.860
Well that both out of your mouth. That involves a certain amount of power, buddy. We have potty humor. We are. We are grown ass men. And we have stupid potty humor.
Pandaren Quip
00:13:57.860 - 00:13:59.659
Who taught you to act like this?
Kash
00:13:59.740 - 00:14:02.100
We're all humans now, Jibs.
Jibbs
00:14:02.100 - 00:14:06.380
I know, I know. We really are. This is locker room talk right here.
Kash
00:14:06.460 - 00:18:24.300
We should act like humans. We should heroes call adventures. This week I wanted to talk about something that I thought was really neat.
I think every week we talk about something that's really neat. But it's no mystery at this point. Nine episodes in. You guys hearing me talk with the heroes call board that I'm a huge fan of player run events.
I think they are so cool. We've talked about a bunch of them that we've been involved in in the past and you know, it's in it. It's goes far beyond roleplay this.
A lot of these events that people do support good causes and this is one that I learned about. I did not know, did a search and found some really cool information on an event for breast cancer awareness called the Running of the Gnomes.
This event started back in 2009 when a player organization was a guild on Scarlet Crusade came up with the idea to roll level one gnomes. And they would, when they did the character creation for these gnomes, they would make them with pink hair to commemorate breast cancer awareness.
And if you guys didn't know, it's October is breast cancer awareness month and it's. It's a big deal. Like all across the United States it's a big deal.
And like for, for us at work we get to wear like special shirts that have, that have like, you know, our logo in pink and stuff. And it's, it's just really neat and it's, it's a nationwide thing.
So anyway, on Scarlet Crusade this guild would get together rolled level one gnomes with pink hair and they would do a run from gnomeregan to Booty Bay. And they would do it in the name of breast cancer awareness to fundraise for that particular cause.
Well, the charity that they did was called the Pink Fund, which obviously supports people with breast cancer treatment and their related expenses. And Blizzard found out about this and wanted to get involved.
So Blizzard went ahead and instead of it just being a regular run through the world, Blizzard actually set up an official starting line for their event. And this was in subsequent years and still going on.
They set up an official starting line for the event in New Tinkertown, which is in the north part of the zone. And they actually put a quest in the game that will guide players through 40 gates along the route finishing in Booty Bay.
As you know, on this south tip of Eastern Kingdoms and they scattered NPCs who would cheer you along the route. They gave, you know, the, the pink hair runners a little extra motivation as they, as they ran.
So they weren't getting eaten by tigers because remember these are level one gnomes and getting through Stranglethorn is probably a problem, you know, and whatever you do, don't have war mode on. I just thought that this was such a cool thing.
And again it, it is an example of how the community parallels things in real life and how like last week, talking about extra Life which benefits children's hospitals, this benefits breast cancer awareness. And just how awesome the community can be and how awesome the developers at Blizzard can be.
Any developers really, in any game, when they get involved with stuff like this, that is really what shows me that these aren't just developers that are showing up for a paycheck. These are people who are, have a passion for the gaming community and for everything that surrounds it, including real life.
So you know, you think about like what this is the tiny gnome that runs across Azeroth to help millions. And that is exactly what this is. In any event, that's, that is like this. And you just, you just. It warms your heart.
It definitely warms my heart because I'm old and sensitive now, but I love stuff like this. I was young and sensitive.
Jibbs
00:18:26.860 - 00:19:26.160
Now that I've turned the corner, now I'm old and sensitive. No, I love this. I really do. I love, love, love this community so much. The things that they do, the things that they're involved in.
The fact that Blizzard took in running of the gnomes and made it its official thing in game, it's amazing, man. Like, I love that. I love, again, I love this community. The things that they do, the things they build, the things they make.
It's the cosplay they, that they, I mean like painstakingly put together. It's, it's just, it's amazing. All of it, all of it's amazing.
And you know, everybody doing their, their thing, whatever their, their shtick is, whether it's a podcast like we're doing or you know, people putting together events in game or you know, like YouTubers, streamers. I love all of it, man. And I just. You said it exactly right. You know, like just the fact that this community, you love community run things.
And I certainly do too. It's really, really special, right?
Kash
00:19:26.160 - 00:20:47.390
And it does, it highlights again how you know, a regular player from everyday life that has a passion for something and you, I don't know the story behind this or behind the person that came up with this idea and started it.
A lot of times it's, you know, he, my mom had breast cancer and this, you know, I had breast cancer and you know, I wanted to do something to support it, but I think sometimes it's a little easier for, for folks when you have a platform. But when you don't like us, like we have a podcast platform, you know, that four or five people listen to.
Well, those four or five people are going to hear what we have to say.
Other people don't so to get something like this off the ground from that ground level without a platform and have Blizzard take notice to it, that is a feat. And it's. It's pretty amazing how, you know, a small initiative can turn into something that happens every year.
And of course, you know, every year they're going to bring more people in. More people are going to want to do the Pink Hair Run. And I just.
I think that little things like this that happen in the community again, really make the community what it is and showcase so much more about the game of World of Warcraft and Azeroth being a home for people and not just a game. There's so much more to it.
Jibbs
00:20:47.390 - 00:21:00.030
Yeah. Yeah. It really is a warm blanket for so, so many people for so many reasons. And, man, that's special.
So I actually have something too to kind of go along with the heroes call board. Not normally doing this. I feel like I'm stepping on toes here.
Kash
00:21:00.110 - 00:21:01.070
On my toes?
Jibbs
00:21:01.390 - 00:21:02.430
Yeah, on your toes.
Kash
00:21:03.200 - 00:21:05.880
This is our show. You're not stepping on my toes.
Jibbs
00:21:05.880 - 00:21:08.320
I know. It just feel. I'm not. Don't normally do this.
Kash
00:21:08.400 - 00:21:09.160
When in Rome.
Jibbs
00:21:09.160 - 00:21:28.640
When in Rome. Yeah.
So anyway, I was in Stormwind the other night and I was doing some role play, just kind of walking around and at the time nothing was really happening too, too much. And I happened to mouse over someone's name and you know how Total Roleplay three will. You know, like how you have your backstory.
It tells basically a tooltip of the player, right?
Kash
00:21:28.900 - 00:21:31.140
That's dangerous. Very dangerous.
Jibbs
00:21:31.140 - 00:23:17.630
Not dangerous. Just don't go to Goldshire. We all know.
All right, so anyway, I moused over this person and I'm not going to say their character name, but I will say their name on curseforge is derosa mg. And anyway, I moused over there and their tooltip popped up. Hey, this is my add on. Check it out. Blah, blah. I'm like, well, I'm going to check it out. So I immediately go over.
It's called WYSIWYG and it's a new what you see is what you get editor designed for World of Warcraft role players who want cleaner, safer and more expensive expressive messages. It's basically like an IM window that allows you to type in there.
So instead of typing directly, like, like we normally do in the chat box, where you can do like misfires or there's typos or sometimes you could get disconnected if your messages are too long. WYSIWYG basically gives players a dedicated composition window where they can write revise and preview.
Their messages exist exactly as others will see them. And so it helps with. If you need to put like raid marker.
A raid marker in chat, it helps if you're hitting enter too soon, which I have done and look like an idiot. Like mid sentence, my character's talking and then he's like, because I hit enter.
Or you may be like losing emotes or accidentally like disconnecting or something.
Basically it gives you a window so where instead of typing slash E and then typing I can just type and know it's going to go to the emote channel and continue the conversation with other role players. It's amazing. If you are a role player, a fan of it, like I am, go check out this add on and give them support. This is a brand new add on.
As of the time I downloaded it, there was 73 downloads. So let's boost that up because this is an amazing add on for a lot of people.
Kash
00:23:17.870 - 00:23:49.070
Everything that I know about roleplay Jibs has pretty much taught me and we've had a few sessions, a few. And it's actually really cool.
And I think again, it is like a whole other dimension brought to your gameplay and allows you, when you are actually just playing the game, to get into your character a little bit more and you want to really talk about forgetting about the world. Role play is the way to do it because.
Jibbs
00:23:49.150 - 00:23:49.790
Go do it.
Kash
00:23:49.950 - 00:24:17.300
Yeah, it really is a lot of fun. And there are tools like this.
Like you taught me how to do it with the native UI and I actually have a. I have a profile set up for RP where you just. You know, I can just go and just change my UI and then all of a sudden I have like the larger chat box and stuff. So you can do that.
But yeah, I could see where this would be an issue and where this would be super helpful. So I love the way you found this. That's really cool.
Jibbs
00:24:17.300 - 00:24:27.300
Yeah, yeah, they were. They were super kind. Anyway, wanted to give them some love. So role players go check this out. It is called WYSIWYG on Curse Forge.
Let's jump in the news.
Goblin News Network Bumper

Let's get started. So World of Warcraft Midnight Bloodtream Ties, the latest from Christy Golden. I'm mention this real quick. It is out. It is.
And I messaged her on Twitter and she was so kind and responded back just with some. We were just having a quick passing conversation. Super kind. I'm in chapter four. This is a prequel novel to Midnight by the Way.
And this is probably one of her best novels I have ever read. And I am a huge fan of Rise of the Horde, Lord of the Clans. But her pacing on this novel is so darn good. And the characters, you feel it.
You feel the love, the tension, the things that are going on. It's amazing. So, anyway, if folks, if you're like us, like Cash and I both, like, we. We do both.
So we'll read, you know, like physical copies of books, but oftentimes we're on the go, so we go to Audible for our stuff. Anyway. You can go find Blood Ties there on Audible. Phenomenal book. I don't know if you had a chance to jump into yours yet, but.
Kash
00:25:34.110 - 00:25:43.110
Dude, I have not. But I do want to give a very giant public thank you to you for providing me that on. On Audible.
Jibbs
00:25:43.110 - 00:25:43.830
Oh, you're welcome.
Kash
00:25:43.910 - 00:25:53.910
And yeah, so I'm. I'm looking forward to diving into that book. I've been admittedly listening to a lot of music this week.
Jibbs
00:25:53.990 - 00:25:54.550
Me too.
Kash
00:25:54.550 - 00:26:06.340
And podcasts this week. But, yeah, within the next couple of weeks, I'm probably going to start chunking through that book. I just. I want to give it a little bit more time.
So we're a little bit closer to midnight, so it's fresh in my mind.
Jibbs
00:26:06.500 - 00:26:07.380
Yeah, but.
Kash
00:26:07.620 - 00:26:57.550
But yeah, I love devouring those books. And actually, I'm going through the War of the Ancients again right now for the second time, so I'm about halfway through that one.
And call me a nerd, but I re. Listen to the chapters where Cenarius is in. He's in the Emerald Dream, and he's. I just.
I love those chapters so much because it's so nature y and it's completely relates to my character. And so, anyway, yeah, I did understand it the first time.
That was always a joke that my dad had when I would watch movies, like for a second and third and fourth time, which, when I was a kid, it was pretty much Star wars. And his comment was always like, what? You didn't understand it the first time? No, I got it the first time, Dad. I just really, really love this movie.
Jibbs
00:26:57.630 - 00:26:58.910
That's funny. Yeah.
Kash
00:26:58.910 - 00:27:02.030
So I have no problem crushing books a second or third time.
Jibbs
00:27:02.030 - 00:27:36.860
Oh, yeah. Same, same, same, same. Another one of those authors for me is John Gwynne. Amazing, amazing author. But anyway, phenomenal. Phenomenal book.
I can't wait to finish it. Christy, I know you'll.
You're probably not, like, ever going to hear this, but thank you so much again for everything that you've done for the Warcraft community over the years. You are a writer of writers, and we are such big fans.
So thank you so, so much for all your hard work and dedication and your labor of love, your true labor of love through all the things over the years. You're just. You are well thought of and well loved. So thank you.
Kash
00:27:36.940 - 00:27:42.780
Best part is about that she. I don't know if she's still playing Warcraft. She's a Warcraft player. Like, that's how she started.
Jibbs
00:27:42.860 - 00:27:43.340
Yeah.
Kash
00:27:43.740 - 00:27:46.780
And, man, so much lore.
Jibbs
00:27:47.270 - 00:27:47.590
Yeah.
Kash
00:27:47.750 - 00:27:56.550
What an honor as a writer and as a fan of. Of Warcraft, of the series to be able to write for it. Oh, my gosh.
Jibbs
00:27:56.550 - 00:28:00.270
Oh, it's the dream job, right? Yeah. You know, she's a role player when she played.
Kash
00:28:00.270 - 00:28:03.510
I didn't. But it makes sense. It makes sense, but I did not know that.
Jibbs
00:28:03.510 - 00:28:08.470
Yeah. Yeah. I learned something every day. Don't you? Oh, hey, also, here's in the news. The brutusaur's back.
Kash
00:28:09.750 - 00:28:11.510
Oh, I knew this one was going to come up.
Jibbs
00:28:11.670 - 00:28:27.350
And I want to give a personal public thank you to my best good buddy Cash, who decided to gift said Brutus or to me, which was quite a surprise. And shock. I called him immediately, like, take it back. You can't do this. I can't repay you. But he did anyway, and he said, shut up and take it.
Kash
00:28:27.430 - 00:28:39.030
Those were my literal words. No, I think.
I think my literal words, like when I typed in the little, like, text box, when you give something, I think I said, shh, just let it happen.
Jibbs
00:28:39.290 - 00:28:41.370
Just let it. That's exactly what you wrote.
Kash
00:28:41.610 - 00:28:42.410
Don't fight it.
Jibbs
00:28:42.410 - 00:28:45.930
That's exactly. This thing is huge. It's huge.
Kash
00:28:46.570 - 00:28:57.650
Huge. And I think.
I think it was a principle of the thing when it came back out, because, bro, it was literally last week when we were talking about the brontosaur.
Jibbs
00:28:57.650 - 00:28:58.890
I know. Isn't that hilarious?
Kash
00:28:59.050 - 00:29:40.220
And guess what pops up? Not that I think there's any correlation to that at all. It was coming. We had no idea it was coming. It was just a.
A true coincidence that this thing showed up the next week and you sent me a message like, look what's back in the store. And I looked at it and I was dying laughing. So it's like, well, I guess we're getting brontosaurus. And it happened. But it's. It's pretty cool.
And it to me was a bucket list thing. And. Yeah, yes, I'm dumb. I know it was a cash grab, but I wanted it for my collection, so me.
Jibbs
00:29:41.580 - 00:29:42.220
You know what, man?
Kash
00:29:42.220 - 00:29:42.980
Now we got it.
Jibbs
00:29:42.980 - 00:30:32.980
Yeah, it's amazing, honestly, it truly is amazing.
And, you know, I know we kind of glossed over it earlier at the opener, but the 21st anniversary of World of Warcraft, like, stealthfully arrived and just quietly started and, you know, like, it's crazy to think that Warcraft is now 21 years old. When it launched, I would have been 16. I was 16 years old when that game came out and now I'm just like, holy cow. Like, this is just. It's crazy.
It's crazy to see how far it's come over these years. The event is back. We got some new mog in there. And of course, on Moon Guard, the world's always alive.
So, I mean, you go there and it's just full of people. It's a sea of people in that zone on Tanaris. And, man, it was a really good time.
Kash
00:30:33.140 - 00:31:25.590
Yeah, I actually found out about that when I logged in again. You were right. It was. It was kind of stealthy. I didn't know it was popping up and I'm sure it was on the calendar, but I. I just missed it.
So I logged in that day and immediately head down, headed down to Tanaris and. And I've always loved that zone.
So, you know, getting down there and I think the last time, I think I did a little bit of it last year, but I never really, like, dove into the car, you know, the whole carnival event that was there and did all the quests. There's a lot of stuff to do. And yeah, on our server, it was packed. There were. There were tons of people down there, so I had a good time doing it.
Just running around killing the bosses, doing all the little events. The one that makes you feel 100% inadequate is doing the mount one.
Jibbs
00:31:27.030 - 00:31:30.310
Oh, gosh. You want to. Yeah, you want to feel lackluster, go do that thing.
Kash
00:31:30.870 - 00:32:10.980
Yeah.
And the way this works is there's a big stage and there's a host on the stage and she will announce what mount she's going to mount up on, and she will mount up on it. And then you. You have like, I don't know, probably 20 seconds or something to pull out the same mount and mount on it.
And when you're in a crowd, especially like on our server, there were people everywhere. So I think at one point she called the. What's the name of the tree? The treant mount, the one that changes with the seasons. The.
The grove guardian or something like that.
Jibbs
00:32:10.980 - 00:32:12.180
Yeah, something like that.
Kash
00:32:12.900 - 00:32:58.210
It's. I love this mount. It's so Freaking cool. It's just.
It's a giant treant, and you can stand or you're sitting right on the top of it, just like, you know, like little Frodo did in the Lord of the Rings. And this thing is massive. And it changes colors. The leaves change colors for the season. So everybody hops on this mount.
I think everybody and their brother had this mount, and it just looked like a forest. It was so freaking cool the way it looked when everybody popped up on the mount.
But I think there's 15 different mounts per round that she does, and I think the most I had of all the mounts that she did in any round was like, six.
Jibbs
00:32:58.530 - 00:33:00.470
Oh, exactly. Same for me.
Kash
00:33:00.700 - 00:33:16.060
Yeah. And the people that have the. The highest amount, when she calls them out, obviously are the winners or is the winner of the competition.
I'm like, yeah, I will never win this one. Like, that's for the. For the true mount collector, right? That just has tons and tons of mounts.
Jibbs
00:33:16.060 - 00:33:17.180
Yeah, that's cool, too.
Kash
00:33:17.180 - 00:33:49.510
Yeah, it's. It is a cool event, though. There's a. There's a bunch of stuff like that that you can do in there. There's one with.
With Lore Walker Cho when he's telling a story, and, you know, you get to react to it with all these emotes and stuff, and then, you know, you get to complete the quest. But just a lot of fun, a lot of celebratory fun for the 21st anniversary.
And from what I understand, a lot of them are the same from last year, but honestly, like, I don't care. I'll do them every year. They're. They're really. It's just a really neat thing to be able to celebrate the. The birthday of the game.
Jibbs
00:33:49.510 - 00:34:11.700
Yeah. Anything that brings the community together is always a win. That's why Blizzcon is such a powerful thing.
You know, fans and basically family in one area, and that's what just makes it so strong and powerful. And that's agreed. Same with this. With this event as well. So anyway, folks, jump in, enjoy it, have fun, and happy birthday, Azeroth. You're 21.
Still looking young.
Goblins
00:34:11.940 - 00:34:14.100
Hey, yeah, Happy birthday. Sorry. You still got that sword in your get.
Jibbs
00:34:14.980 - 00:34:56.850
All right, so here we go, folks.
We're going to take our time jumping through this one because this is a long one, so we're just going to kind of break it up and talk a little bit about it. So Midnight prologue, the warning content Update goes live. December 2nd now has been moved up to third.
Actually, this coming to us from Warcraft.com which, by the way, folks like Blizzard's Facebook account put out the fact that the date had been moved, but I never saw anything official on the World of Warcraft page on its actual account. So it's. I believe this has been moved to December 3rd and then December 4th for EU. So we'll just kind of go along with that as from.
Kash
00:34:56.850 - 00:34:57.770
Sure hope you're right.
Jibbs
00:34:57.770 - 00:35:03.090
Well, it was. It makes me feel weird. It's like I'm. It's like I'm taking a step and then I'm like, should I take that step?
Kash
00:35:04.050 - 00:35:12.050
Well, I'm gonna look at it, but I'm just double checking. Normally big releases come out on Tuesdays, Right. It's kind of a. Kind of a gaming thing.
Jibbs
00:35:12.310 - 00:35:12.630
Yeah.
Kash
00:35:12.790 - 00:35:22.070
So if this changes, this has changed to the Wednesday. That's. That's kind of a big deal. Why would they bump it back one day?
Jibbs
00:35:22.470 - 00:35:59.020
It may be looking at right now. Yeah, go ahead. You do that. And I'll just keep going here. So Patch 11.7.1.2.7 closes out the war within and opens the final chapter before midnight.
Players continue the campaign in visions of a shadowed Sun. Dive into revamped new new returning player experiences. Explore the Elven Lore Walking scenario. Unlock Pandaren Heritage Armor, which is pretty cool.
Enter Shadowlands Time Walking. Finally revisit the Brawlers Guild. Yes, please. And for midnight pre purchasers. Can't wait for this step into housing early access. What'd you find?
Kash
00:35:59.180 - 00:36:01.500
Everything I'm looking at is saying December 2nd.
Jibbs
00:36:01.820 - 00:36:05.230
Now go to the Blizzard account on Facebook. The Blizzard Entertainment.
Kash
00:36:05.230 - 00:36:07.030
Yeah, this is all saying December 2nd.
Jibbs
00:36:07.270 - 00:36:07.670
No.
Kash
00:36:07.830 - 00:36:11.110
Wowhead, Reddit, the Wiki, Blizzard Watch.
Jibbs
00:36:11.270 - 00:36:19.510
No, go to the Blizzard Entertainment's Facebook page. You're not even. You didn't even do the one thing I gave you One thing. One job.
Goblins
00:36:20.710 - 00:36:22.230
Sheesh. Try harder next time.
Kash
00:36:22.710 - 00:36:28.630
I'm not even gonna do it now. Requires me to pull up a different window under a different account. I'm not doing it.
Jibbs
00:36:31.680 - 00:37:16.370
Oh, I love this so much. All right, so anyway, folks, continuing the War within campaign, Visions of a Shadowed son.
So the big shout out, by the way to Mr. GM, he put out a great overview video of what this. What this looks like. And so we're. We are relying on that for a lot of. A lot of this discussion. So if you.
Anyway, if you want to go see the actual video, go check it out over Mr. GM's YouTube page. But. So with the ghosts of Koresh defeated, a darker threat surfaces.
Verisa Windrunner is plagued by visions, prophesying the fall of Quel' Thalas tying directly into midnight. So anyway, highlights for this sets the stage for the midnight expansion. It's going to be a heavy, heavy Windrunner family focus.
Oh, if you just knew what happened. That's been edited out. You have no idea and you will never know.
Kash
00:37:17.250 - 00:37:18.970
Maybe he said the F word.
Jibbs
00:37:18.970 - 00:37:22.310
I did not say that at all. Come to BlizzCon and we'll tell you. All right. So.
Kash
00:37:22.460 - 00:37:24.740
So fully go F yourself. Azeroth.
Jibbs
00:37:24.740 - 00:37:26.300
I did not say that.
Kash
00:37:27.900 - 00:37:28.460
Okay.
Jibbs
00:37:28.460 - 00:37:55.480
Fully voiced with cinematic moments. And then rewards the Carrick's swiftwing mount mid campaign which that was something that was kind of discussed Mr. GM's video. It's.
It's unique so it's not a end of the campaign reward. You're going to get this reward right smack dab in the middle of this, this entire campaign experience. So can look forward to that.
And then also housing early access is coming. Dude, we have been waiting for this since the trailer dropped. You remember that?
Kash
00:37:55.480 - 00:38:28.530
Yes, yes, we have. And we have since found some different tools and found out that there are some vendors coming for remix in order to find the things that you can buy.
And through looking through achievements and stuff for a lot of old content that you may or may not have finished in order to unlock certain housing items. We have yet discovered another way to feel inadequate in Azeroth because there's a.
Jibbs
00:38:28.530 - 00:38:45.890
Lot of stuff and there's that add on too I think you brought up on an earlier episode homebound. Homebound, yeah, you can download.
It doesn't have everything but you can see like what it does list like where you're at with achievements and what, what furnishings you know that you may or may not be getting, which is pretty cool.
Kash
00:38:45.890 - 00:39:06.690
And they're actively adding stuff to that too, which is what's cool about homebound.
I mean that is going to turn into an amazing repository for items that are in the game as long as they keep developing a lot of items that are in the game that you can get and what achievements they are tied to. Which again, if you want to feel inadequate, go take a look at homebound.
Jibbs
00:39:06.770 - 00:39:49.500
Yeah, yeah, it's pretty. It's pretty awesome. Great download.
And so some of the features that are coming in early access with the housing it's room decorating and decor collection which is around, I think the Official number is 2200ish items.
Room layouts, neighborhoods, both public guild and charter guild Neighborhood creation Legacy Decor drops crafted decor via the new lumber resource that Cash was mentioning earlier. Flying in neighborhoods which is going to be fun. And then, of course, a new housing tutorial.
And then alliance will be in Founders Point and the Horde will be in Razor Wind Shores. I am very much looking forward to having said neighborhood. I'm TPing your house immediately.
Kash
00:39:52.620 - 00:40:59.850
Anyway, folks, a major overhaul for new and returning players in the smoothest. What is being touted as the smoothest onboarding World of Warcraft has ever had.
If I could only have gotten my daughter to wait, but she was so eager to play. So I did think about that, though. I thought about saying, let's. Can you hold for a few weeks? Because. And then I just went, nope, we ain't holding.
Build your character. We're going through the old. The old newbie island, which was fine. We had a good time. But yeah, they are.
They are majorly revamping the new player experience, which is really supposed to speed things up and steer you in the right direction with less confusion, which I think is really cool. So there's. There's things like the Exile's reach is going to be with Jaina now. And Thrall and Wrathion and Jibs.
Favorite character who shows up and tells you what to do, but never lends a hand.
Khadgar
00:40:59.850 - 00:41:02.780
Knowledge is powder. Wait, that's not right.
Kash
00:41:02.860 - 00:41:06.300
That's right. Mr. Khadgar is going to be part of this team.
Jibbs
00:41:06.860 - 00:41:13.620
Oh, man, you know, I sure wouldn't. Well, that's spoilery. I don't want to say that from a war with them.
Kash
00:41:13.620 - 00:41:14.860
Oh, Kadgar.
Jibbs
00:41:14.940 - 00:41:17.740
Oh, buddy. He's still kicking.
Kash
00:41:17.820 - 00:41:20.940
He's good boy. Which is why I was surprised you put him in the. In the intro.
Jibbs
00:41:21.020 - 00:41:21.900
In the intro.
Kash
00:41:22.540 - 00:41:29.030
Yeah, he was in the intro. You know, we do the intro voice right afterwards. Like last week. Don't you remember?
Jibbs
00:41:29.270 - 00:41:29.670
No.
Kash
00:41:29.910 - 00:41:31.110
At the beginning of the show.
Jibbs
00:41:31.270 - 00:41:31.750
Yeah.
Kash
00:41:31.830 - 00:41:34.790
Azeroth Morning Radio. Yeah, our show.
Jibbs
00:41:34.790 - 00:41:35.270
Yeah.
Kash
00:41:35.430 - 00:41:38.630
You put in a sound bite of somebody from the game.
Jibbs
00:41:38.710 - 00:41:39.190
Yeah.
Kash
00:41:39.190 - 00:41:39.990
Every week. Yeah. Who's 50 here?
Jibbs
00:41:40.070 - 00:41:53.160
Oh, that. I thought you meant the intro. Intro to the show. The files are inside the computer. That wasn't the. Not today.
That wasn't that today.
Kash
00:41:53.800 - 00:41:55.160
That was Khadgar, bud.
Jibbs
00:41:55.160 - 00:41:58.280
No, that's an undead. That's a male undead. Here, you wanna hear it again?
Kash
00:41:58.680 - 00:42:07.640
Well, yeah. And you do it again. Okay, here we go. And you see, that's gotta be the same voice actor as Khadgar.
Jibbs
00:42:07.640 - 00:42:09.320
Oh, no way. This is way better.
Kash
00:42:09.400 - 00:42:16.040
And you, and you. I can do that too. With a goblin voice.
Jibbs
00:42:16.600 - 00:42:24.320
Hey, yeah. Hey. Yeah, you are. And you say you disappear. All right, anyway, go ahead. Sorry.
Kash
00:42:24.320 - 00:42:26.680
Who are you again. Anyway.
Jibbs
00:42:26.840 - 00:42:27.400
All right.
Kash
00:42:27.560 - 00:42:28.920
Talk about derailment.
Jibbs
00:42:29.000 - 00:42:30.200
I know. Sorry, folks.
Kash
00:42:30.360 - 00:42:55.240
Okay, so anyway, with this. With this new cast of characters, you are going to experience as a new player a faster transition into Dragonflight, which is great.
I think that's awesome. And not only is it going to be a faster transition into Dragonflight, but it's to going.
Going to be an accelerated leveling experience to get you into. Into Midnight as fast as possible.
Jibbs
00:42:55.480 - 00:42:56.000
Yeah.
Kash
00:42:56.000 - 00:43:07.560
So you go Dragonflight, I assume war within, and then you drop into Midnight. Right. So we're looking 60, 70, you know, 60 to 70 and then 70 to 80.
Jibbs
00:43:08.040 - 00:43:09.920
Yeah. Then 80 to 90. Yeah.
Kash
00:43:09.920 - 00:43:10.760
And 80 to 90.
Heroes Call Bumper
00:43:10.760 - 00:43:11.160
Yeah.
Kash
00:43:11.160 - 00:43:29.820
Yep, yep. I love it. I think that's great.
So there's going to be a scenario with Jane and Thrall through Arathi Highlands, and that is going to teach the gameplay fundamentals. It's going to provide a set of starter gear in bags, which is huge. That's the one cheat that I sent to my daughter. Or bags.
Jibbs
00:43:30.300 - 00:43:52.270
You're a bag dealer. You know that anytime I was in the midst of making my 1 of 1 million alts, you were always on par on could count on it every time. Do you need bags?
I'll get you bags. I'm like, no, it's okay. He's like, I know you'd like to earn your own gold, but do you need bags? He's.
Oh, he's, you know, if you need bags, cash is your man. I mean, he's an.
Kash
00:43:52.270 - 00:43:52.710
I'm your man.
Jibbs
00:43:52.710 - 00:43:53.950
He's a good man for that.
Kash
00:43:54.030 - 00:44:06.030
I don't want bags and bag space and inventory control to be a factor in whether or not anybody says effort. I'm not playing this game. Do not want that.
Jibbs
00:44:06.110 - 00:44:12.960
Honestly, you should be a vendor. You should be a vendor in the npc. In the game that just sells bags. That would be your bags.
Goblins
00:44:13.920 - 00:44:15.040
Get your bags.
Jibbs
00:44:15.520 - 00:44:16.360
That's hilarious.
Kash
00:44:16.360 - 00:44:28.560
We'll treat those bags under your eyes too. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I'm the bad guy. So I was excited about this new new Lore walking scenario with a Lore Walker. Cho.
Jibbs
00:44:28.640 - 00:44:29.080
Yeah.
Kash
00:44:29.080 - 00:44:29.680
Is coming.
Jibbs
00:44:29.840 - 00:44:30.280
Yeah.
Kash
00:44:30.280 - 00:44:33.600
And that is going to detail the elves of Quel'. Thalas.
Heroes Call Bumper
00:44:34.320 - 00:44:34.720
Mm.
Kash
00:44:35.520 - 00:45:02.130
Yes. So it says. Join Lorewalker Cho to revisit core moments in Blood Elf and Void Elf history.
They're gonna cover the Scourge attack on Silvermoon, the Lich King's assault on the Sunwell, the corruption of the Sunwell, and the origins of the Void elves. And what you get out of this, it's not a lame toy. You get The Tome of Silvermoon Intrigue, which is for your house.
Jibbs
00:45:02.210 - 00:45:16.650
It's beautiful too. It's very, very beautiful. And honestly, it's really cool they're doing this.
There's a ton of people within the roleplay community that play blood elves and I know for a shadow of a doubt they will eat that up. So that's, that's awesome. That's cool.
Kash
00:45:16.650 - 00:45:31.580
Yeah. And again, we've talked a lot about, you know, because we're lord, we are definitely lore nerds.
And if in a perfect world we would be teaching you lore, which might still be a thing down, you know, maybe bite sized lore, you know, we.
Jibbs
00:45:31.580 - 00:45:52.260
Got a message about that. Someone asked us, they're like, we got a, that's the nicest message from somebody that's followed us for the last seven years on our shows.
And they're like, when you guys, please tell me you guys are going to cover lore. Because that's normally what we're known for. That's normally our shtick. I'm like, well, never say never. But I'm like, he does bring up a good point.
Yeah.
Kash
00:45:52.260 - 00:45:58.940
And it's, it's not off the table. I wouldn't say that it's off the table, but when you look at like the Karazhan Library.
Jibbs
00:45:58.940 - 00:45:59.580
Oh yeah.
Kash
00:45:59.580 - 00:47:17.590
And, and Noble, it's like those folks are absolute beasts in this, in this community. And you know, not that it would be like a. Because we tell lore the way that we like to tell lore. We, we do it in our own way.
We don't change the lore. But we, we, I, I think Jibs and I, in our, in our past, we've always been storytellers and we, we enjoy that kind of stuff very, very much.
We were very heavily involved in lore when we were covering. Oh yeah, Elder Scrolls online games. It was called Lore Seekers. Yeah, exactly. Because we, we definitely were seeking lore and we got.
You want to talk about another game with some very deep lore, but Warcraft lore is, it's deep. It goes very deep. Like way more books, way more stuff to dive into a ton of theory crafting about the lore.
So we're not saying that lore is off the table for us, but we just, we, I think we need to figure out how we want to do it and it might end up being a YouTube thing down, down the road.
You know, once, once this show is, you know, going well and we, we feel very comfortable, I, at least I know I will get the itch to start creating videos. So. Yeah, at some point.
Jibbs
00:47:18.150 - 00:47:19.190
Yeah, never say never.
Kash
00:47:19.350 - 00:48:02.750
But yeah, never say never. So, you know, back to Lore. Friendly things. The Pandaren heritage armor is also going to be a thing.
Return to the Wandering Isle for a new Heritage Quest line centered around the Spirit Festival. And there's some rewards you can get.
There's a blue set for the Alliance, a red set for the Horde, a black set which is neutral, and the source is still unknown. I love the cryptic stuff. And it's difficult to get black items in this game. Yeah, it is very difficult.
I remember you and I specifically waited for the longest time for a black cloak.
Jibbs
00:48:02.910 - 00:48:05.660
Oh, my gosh. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Kash
00:48:06.620 - 00:48:12.540
You're gonna have to remind me. I don't think that there is a black hood for that cloak that we got.
Jibbs
00:48:12.700 - 00:48:15.020
Yeah, there is. Yep. I'll show it to you.
Kash
00:48:15.500 - 00:48:22.780
Must be buried in my stuff somewhere because I was looking specifically for it the other day. For the one that matches the cloak. The hood that matches the cloak.
Jibbs
00:48:22.780 - 00:48:23.140
Yeah.
Kash
00:48:23.140 - 00:48:24.100
I could not find it.
Jibbs
00:48:24.100 - 00:48:24.700
I'll help you.
Kash
00:48:24.700 - 00:48:31.730
Okay. Yeah, I'm sure I probably have it, but. And then there is a rideable hot air balloon toy which I'm sure will get used.
Jibbs
00:48:32.050 - 00:48:33.090
Oh, gosh.
Kash
00:48:33.090 - 00:48:35.450
I want raid lobbies everywhere.
Jibbs
00:48:35.450 - 00:48:42.930
I want that so bad. There's going to be red balloons all over or hot air balloons all over. Storm Wind. Man, I'm all about it.
Kash
00:48:43.570 - 00:48:51.730
Reminded me of that part from Napoleon Dynamite. He's trying to sell the Tupperware. The wife looks at her husband, she goes, I want that.
Jibbs
00:48:51.730 - 00:48:55.490
I want that. Oh, man.
Kash
00:48:55.490 - 00:48:56.850
Oh, my God, we're such doors.
Jibbs
00:48:56.850 - 00:49:50.660
Oh, that's good. And then Shadowlands Time Walking is being debuted. So this is a new 10 week cycle they're doing for this.
Shadowlands enters Time Walking for the very first time. Folks, whether you're a fan of this expansion or not, there's some amazing rewards that come along with this for Time Walking.
So includes the Dungeons, Necrotic Wake, Spires of Ascension, Plague Fall, the Other side, Halls of Atonement and Sanguine Depths. Oh, and actually gives you specifics here.
So three new mounts, new transmog sets, new pet sets, and part of the turbulent Timeways event, which is returning. They were saying Wowhead was reporting it was gone and now it's back again from what I'm seeing. So, yeah, December 3rd through February 10th.
But anyway, the meta reward this time, the big reward you do this for, I think it's five weeks. It's Pterodon's mount voucher. Choose one of four bronze Shadowlands Covenant Recolor mounts.
Kash
00:49:50.980 - 00:50:05.400
So really good time to beef up gear if you have alts, if you're trying to get ready for midnight. And I think there's a reason for this Shadowlands Time walking being on a 10 week cycle.
First of all, people have been screaming for Shadowlands time walking.
Jibbs
00:50:05.400 - 00:50:06.160
Good dungeons.
Kash
00:50:06.160 - 00:50:40.990
Yeah, great dungeons. And the fact that it's running for 10 weeks. This is going to be an excellent opportunity to get your characters geared up.
Now I know we're going to talk about them coming up, but this reminds me of our friend Stark who is a huge fan of the other side and wants to see the other side on a mythic rotation. Which I think would be awesome because he. He's right. Like Diada Sidemon is a fantastic dungeon. Like one of my favorite dungeons.
Bwonsamdi Quip
00:50:41.070 - 00:50:44.030
Oh, you missed me.
Jibbs
00:50:44.430 - 00:50:57.230
You know, I've only ever ran that one time. One time. I have never. I just not because purposely didn't do it. I just never got to really experience it one time. Literally one.
I don't remember what it is.
Kash
00:50:57.310 - 00:51:40.070
I will say there is. There's a mechanic in there where you got to kind of break off into groups and you gotta like kind of go your. Your separate ways.
And if you don't know that mechanic, I can imagine how 100 unforgiving it's gonna be be in mythic. I mean it's, it's. It's like anything else in a. In a Mythic if you don't know the mechanic, you're. You're gonna suffer.
Especially in those higher keys. But yeah, the other, the other side is going to be one to. If it does come to a mythic rotation right now it's, it's not a thing.
We're just theoretically talking.
If it does, that's going to be one that you're gonna have to definitely pay attention to that mechanic and know what you're doing before you even step foot in that thing.
Jibbs
00:51:40.310 - 00:51:46.310
Well, that's guaranteed Jib's dirt nap because that's typically my mythic experience. Whenever I try that stuff.
Kash
00:51:47.110 - 00:51:48.790
Guaranteed to burn my battle res.
Jibbs
00:51:51.190 - 00:52:28.110
Oh gosh.
And so anyway folks, this is available and then something that is coming up that's near and dear to actually we're more curious than anything because I don't think we've ever actually done it. I know I haven't. Maybe you did. The Brawlers Guild's coming back. So this comes back on December 9th.
So if you are alliance, it's in Bismo's Brawl Pub, which is underneath the train. The tram that takes you to Ironforge from Stormwind Then Ogrimar, it's the Brawgar Arena.
There's new housing, decor, it's available recolor flying mount and Bruce, a new color variant. So there's that.
Kash
00:52:28.110 - 00:52:59.070
Yeah. And if you don't know what the Brawlers Guild is, it is essentially a series of. Of 1v1 fights. You versus a boss.
So if you can picture like fighting the. The Kingpin was the Kingpin. Yeah, yeah. If you can picture fighting the Kingpin, like that's what these fights are going to be like.
I don't think they're going to be as difficult, but it's a. It's a similar system to that. And I don't think Brawler's Guild has been around. It's been a few expansions.
Jibbs
00:52:59.640 - 00:53:01.240
Yeah. Was it Cataclysm?
Kash
00:53:01.720 - 00:53:11.480
I don't think that many. I think I want to say maybe Shadowlands. It was around, but I think you're right. It's coming back and that's fantastic. Yeah, it's coming back.
Jibbs
00:53:11.480 - 00:53:40.500
And by the way folks, Bruce is a alligator mount. So whenever you. You see that, that's what's referring to. And then finally the War Within Meta achievement world soul searching.
So zone spanning meta similar to prior expansions. Complete story exploration and activity milestones across time. Or the War Within. For a large collectible reward.
We got some pretty awesome stuff to look forward to. You know, I'm excited about this patch, man.
Kash
00:53:40.500 - 00:54:18.630
Yeah, we do. This is. It's going to be a huge patch. We have some friends that have hopped into, into the beta and we hear a lot of giggles and oh my words.
And oh my G, that was awesome. And there's a lot more cussing than that. I'm just trying to dummy it down a little bit.
But happy stuff just because the things that are coming in the beta are really good. And I do have to hand it to some of our friends. They've been very good about not spoiling anything because we hate spoilers.
I would rather just wait and watch.
Jibbs
00:54:19.030 - 00:54:19.590
Agreed.
Kash
00:54:19.590 - 00:54:24.710
And, but most, I think most of the stuff that our friends are doing is looking at combat changes.
Jibbs
00:54:24.790 - 00:54:25.150
Yeah.
Kash
00:54:25.150 - 00:54:51.610
And seeing what. Figuring out what classes they want to play for midnight.
And it sounds like there's a lot of really good stuff coming and that the zones are just drop dead gorgeous. So I'm. I'm really looking forward to that.
I think it's going to be a really good holiday season with housing coming and the pre patch and shortly afterwards in the new year, we're going to be seeing midnight.
Jibbs
00:54:51.850 - 00:54:55.050
Agreed. There you go, folks. We're going to Snark. We'll be right back.
S.N.A.R.K. Bumper
00:55:01.530 - 00:55:02.810
Snark online.
Jibbs
00:55:09.060 - 00:55:48.950
All right, folks, let me grab what it's okay. All right, so today we have. Ooh, it's a new one. Goblin R and D Roundtable. All right, let's explain how this one works.
So quote, time to unleash chaos on Azeroth responsibly. Ish.
So whenever Snark spits this out, the hosts gather to pitch a brand new wow feature, debate the merits, mock the flaws, and speculate on the chaos it might unleash. From genuine clever ideas to completely absurd Goblin grade inventions. No concept is too sacred or too ridiculous for the roundtable. Dun, dun, dun.
Kash
00:55:48.950 - 00:56:03.040
Ooh, this one is new. I kind of know the topic, but admittedly stayed away from this for a fresh take on this R and D Roundtable. Okay, when you want to talk about the.
The topic here and how it came to be.
Jibbs
00:56:03.120 - 00:57:05.040
Yeah.
So we were in Discord the other day hanging with some friends and we got to talking about support class, support role, the support role itself within World of Warcraft and kind of the lifespan from launch to its current state of the Evoker. And you know, some people were kind of commenting about what it was versus what it is now. And.
And I think they were saying, I've never played it, but I think they were saying that it's kind of in a spot where it's nothing like it once was. And someone brought it up in chat.
I don't even know who it was, but they said, why don't they just make group size 6 players and immediately you have a spot for the support role. It has a spot, a designated spot within your group. And it kind of validates that role that Blizzard was trying to bring to the game to begin with.
With Evoker.
Kash
00:57:05.520 - 00:59:32.760
Yeah. And it was.
We mentioned him earlier, but it was our friend Stark, who a lot of our friends are very convinced that he works for Blizzard on the side, but we know he doesn't. He just knows a lot about this game and has been playing it for a long time because years ago I slipped the discs under his dorm door at work.
That is a story for a whole other show, but this is a true story. And he has been hooked on World of Warcraft ever since. So he knows the game very well.
But this did come up as we were talking about Evokers and the state that Evokers were in a few years ago, a couple years ago, which is that if you were going to run higher level content and you were An Evoker in the support role. Like you had a guaranteed spot to where they would dump a DPS just to get the buffs that the Evoker provided.
And it got to be a little bit ridiculous and then they nerfed it and now it almost appears like I don't pay too much attention to Evoker and that probably a terrible thing to admit as a podcast host for World of Warcraft that has evokers, but it is true. And so nowadays I don't know that that support role is as wanted or needed in game. So it. It. This is like a wall of crazy type thing.
This is all this discussion is.
If they were to increase a group size to 6 and one of those spots was intended for a support class, then not only would classes like Evoker, the support spec of the Evoker be coveted, but it would also open up more room for more specs for all of the other classes to have some type of a support role, whether it's a. An off healer or a class that provides a series of buffs.
And we thought it was like a really intriguing idea that if they were to do that, not only can you bring one more of your friends, but you can strong arm or tickle fight one of those friends to level up a support class. And like, no, dude, you're leveling a sport class. That's what you're doing.
Jibbs
00:59:32.920 - 00:59:44.050
I tell you right now, if they added Tinkerer and that's its focus was, was support, I would be through the moon, excited like, holy moon.
Kash
00:59:44.050 - 00:59:46.210
Through the moon, baby, instead of over it.
Jibbs
00:59:46.290 - 00:59:48.050
Oh, that's what it is. Over the moon.
Kash
00:59:50.530 - 00:59:52.290
I'm internally chuckling right now.
Jibbs
00:59:52.930 - 01:00:50.550
Yeah, no, man. Like I would just be all about it. All about it. And I love support roles. I love playing Torbjorn.
You won't know this, but when Overwatch first came out and Torbjorn was the state he was in, you put down turrets and you just heal them and you know, like you could over put them in overdrive and they would assist everybody, right? And you got to be all strategic where you put them. It's support style. I loved that style of gameplay and I Love it in MMOs. I love it in Guild Wars 2.
It's so enjoyable. And the thing is, it's. It's just as unique.
Seeing a good support player, I feel like, versus seeing like maybe another class that people really don't play. But you see someone who's playing it and they do really well at it. It's like a really niche thing whenever you play support.
But the people who play it and play it well and other MMOs, man, oh man, do they stand out. And yeah, I would love, love to see that.
Kash
01:00:50.870 - 01:01:27.130
I think it would. It would cause a lot of people to go away from their norm. Because as of, as of right now, the norm for most players. If you're a DPS and, and you.
And you care about how tight your rotation is and you care about the. The amount of damage that you're putting out, you're constantly looking over at the damage meter.
Whichever one you're currently using, the one that's going to go away or the one that's, you know, going to be native to the game, whichever thing you're looking at, you're looking at damage. If you are a tank, you're still looking at damage to see if you are out DPSing the DPS.
Jibbs
01:01:27.530 - 01:01:27.850
It.
Kash
01:01:27.850 - 01:01:29.290
It is just a thing.
Jibbs
01:01:29.370 - 01:01:30.090
Oh yeah.
Kash
01:01:30.330 - 01:03:31.930
If you're a healer, you have it switched over to who's healing the most in the dungeon. Because you don't want to be beat out by a DK or a bear Druid. You never want to be beat out. You always want to be the highest one.
You know, that's just embarrassing. So you're. If you're a healer, you're constantly looking at your healing. If you're a dps, you're constantly looking at your dps.
If you were a support player, it would be a split between the two because support is going to be things like the Tinkerer as an example. Again, folks, this is wall of Crazy type stuff. If a Tinker class came in, they would have a mixture of both support and dps.
So you're buffing the party in some way with some type of a kit that you lay down and then you transition into doing some dps. That's how I would see a. Yep. A Tinkerer class would be like, you're dropping turrets for healing.
You're dropping turrets for, you know, possibly haste. You're dropping maybe a turret for crit, and you're dropping a turret to do some off healing.
So you would have to be comfortable not being a slave to those meters anymore because all your stuff's just going to be spread out. But I love the thought of this a hundred percent. You know what I would like to see? And this is going to be nuts as a support class? A combat medic.
Oh, some type of a combat medic would be. Maybe it's a hunter thing. Maybe it's part of a tinker class. Maybe it's part. Maybe it's an additional spec. A.
Maybe it's a support spec for the priest where it's more of a. I don't know, I guess you could say a battle priest.
Jibbs
01:03:32.010 - 01:03:32.570
Mm.
Kash
01:03:33.530 - 01:03:43.540
Oh, man. But you would have that good mixture of buffing off, healing and doing DPS as a support class.
Jibbs
01:03:43.700 - 01:05:36.490
Yeah. And, you know, you and I both most recently saw a support role in a big way with the Bard and Ashes of Creation before we came to this project.
And this. This would have been what, like April? I think maybe less than that when we were last there.
And yeah, like we saw with that class when they were running certain spells that just what it did for a group, how they could help people maintain mana, how they could boost their crit, boost their haste. You had to pick what you were doing. Like, it's just such a unique thing.
You're basically a utility class, essentially is just one big ball of utility and you're choosing how to give that utility to your group. And it is so, so, so satisfying when that is in an mmo, because you can see it, you know, like right before your eyes, the input and.
Or the impact that you're having on your group. And so, yes, it would just be amazing to have a 6 slot and a dedicated role because then, then the Evokers have their spot. Right.
Then they could really focus on the whole thing with them initially. And look, I'll be the first to tell you, I see Evokers all the time whenever it comes to PvP. They're present, they love their CC, they're present.
So you see them often, but outside of that, you really don't see them very much. And at least I don't. And I do wish that they had their place in Warcraft with what they were brought to. Brought here to do.
And that was to be a support class.
So I don't think that this experiment on support should, should end with Evoker, you know, like, keep moving with it because you have something there. Just keep, keep, keep at it.
Kash
01:05:36.490 - 01:05:50.890
Yeah, you essentially end up like, kind of like the water boy, right? Pretty much just like, like a cheerleader on the sidelines. And do you need Mama's wrong again?
Jibbs
01:05:51.050 - 01:05:51.850
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Kash
01:05:51.850 - 01:05:56.770
But like, you know, you're like, like, do you need a drink of water? Let me wipe that sweat off your brow. You're doing a great job.
Jibbs
01:05:56.770 - 01:05:57.250
Yeah.
Kash
01:05:59.170 - 01:06:56.450
Little pat on the druthers and there they go back into battle. But at the, you know, at the same time, you're able to do dps yourself, but you're multifaceted in a lot of these things. And of.
Of course discussions like this are theoretical and would create a crap ton of work for Blizzard if they decide to go this route. But I wholeheartedly agree with your statement where you said I don't want to see this support experiment die with the Evoker. That is, that's gold.
I truly think it is. Because if you could, all you would need to do is just like, just like we're saying, bump the group sizes to 6, which was.
We were so happy when we heard this in Discord. We're like, this is a show topic. We, we have to talk about that because it is totally true.
But if you boost that size of six and you boost up the ability of the group, what else do you have to boost?
Jibbs
01:06:56.610 - 01:06:57.410
Difficulty.
Kash
01:06:57.650 - 01:07:21.750
Correct. So it's not just making a bunch more, you know, super cool classes. That's a feat in itself.
But it's going to be balance with the dungeons, which they're currently trying to do for the current real size of the group, that is five. And I don't know what that entails, but that seems like it's, it seems like it's a lot of work to.
Jibbs
01:07:21.990 - 01:07:22.550
Yep.
Kash
01:07:22.550 - 01:07:34.550
To have to, you know, scale the dungeons the way that they're doing. They're. They're trying to make things not as complicated, but they would have to ramp it right back up if they were going to do something like this.
Jibbs
01:07:34.790 - 01:07:43.140
So let me ask you this question. Should Blizzard commitment to a real support pillar similar to Tank Healer and dps?
Kash
01:07:43.460 - 01:08:46.450
Oh, if you're asking me if they should, then yes, I think it would be a fantastic addition to the game.
But again, not being a developer and not knowing what resources it would take to do, I think it would probably take two or three years to commit to something like that.
So if we're talking, you know, for the next world saga that we end up doing, you know, after these last two, then that's like a dream for then because I mean, just think you, you would have to go through and make an additional class or additional spec for multiple classes, not just like one or two more. It would probably have to be three or four more that you're making additional specs for that are in the support role. Right.
Do I think it could be done with the resources that Blizzard has? A hundred percent? Yeah, they could totally do it. But it would have to be a commitment like they made with housing, which took years, you know.
Jibbs
01:08:46.450 - 01:08:46.850
Yeah.
Kash
01:08:46.850 - 01:08:57.999
Huge undertaking is what I'm saying. It would be But. And maybe I'm gonna change should they. To. I. I really hope that they. They would consider something like that. It's.
Heroes Call Bumper
01:08:57.999 - 01:08:58.279
Hope.
Kash
01:08:58.279 - 01:09:00.399
It's not that they. That they should because.
Jibbs
01:09:00.639 - 01:09:01.999
Yeah, yeah, agreed.
Kash
01:09:01.999 - 01:09:08.239
I am not finding a lack of having fun in this game because it's not there.
Jibbs
01:09:08.399 - 01:09:18.999
Right, agreed. The game's amazing. We love it. I mean, heck, we're playing it every, you know, weekday, every day. Like, you know, it's just like a pipe dream.
Kash
01:09:18.999 - 01:09:26.709
We're breaking our own rules about being casual. But, you know, we also have a podcast. We have a responsibility to know this.
Jibbs
01:09:26.709 - 01:09:30.549
Game well, AKA we need enabled so we can play.
Kash
01:09:31.189 - 01:09:33.749
AKA I need to quit my job so I can play the game more.
Jibbs
01:09:33.749 - 01:10:09.329
Oh, there you go. Yeah, but no, I would love this, honestly. And you're right. You're absolutely right. You know, like.
And I like that you said, you know, like, taking should out of it and just being hopeful that one day they do. I agree wholeheartedly. That's the verbiage I like even. Even, even more so. You're right. It would definitely be a massive undertaking.
Like, that would be. That'd be a big deal. Number one, increasing the group size. But on top of that, then you're adding brand new specs. Like, that's a big thing. Big deal.
But man, oh, man, if there was ever an IP ever a company that could take a challenge and crush it, it's Blizzard. They have proven it time and time again.
Kash
01:10:09.889 - 01:10:15.960
So, yeah, they have. They definitely have the. The resources for it. And again, we're not developers, so we don't know.
Jibbs
01:10:15.960 - 01:10:18.040
No, we just talk all of the.
Kash
01:10:18.040 - 01:10:35.200
